I only found out about them two days ago and decided to use their services. Best $200 I have spent in a long time!! Got an email receipt immediately, followed 4 minutes later advising my reservation was confirmed, followed 25 minutes later with email that inspector Robb had been assigned and seconds later another email that an appointment had been made with the seller for that afternoon. Robb called me two hours later with a report followed by the written version by email. Robb was a delight to speak with, explained the problems and advised me not to make the purchase. I am absolutely amazed at this service and how well it went, considering they were in Nova Scotia and I am in PEI. I cannot recommend this company highly enough. If I could afford it, I would buy a billboard in NS telling anyone who needs this service to use CarInspect. I am always cynical about online services, but CarInspect came through exactly as they said on their website.

They were efficient, honest, accurate and fast. The inspector spent over 1 1/2 hours with the car, and called me when I requested it.
Superb Customer Service.
Everything was great. I had Rommel, and he was very knowledgeable, thorough, and enthusiastic. He talked me through everything that may be an issue, and clearly cares about his work.

My CarInspect inspector, John S, did a great job in checking out a vehicle I was considering purchasing, and gave me the confidence to go through with the purchase.

Jeff was on time, professional and very thorough in his inspection. I was impressed with the detailed report I received and it gave me confidence buying the car.

Based on my experience, I would highly recommend people use CarInspect (at least in the Hamilton area). I booked two different PPI's within a week and was lucky enough to have 'Bryan R' do both inspections! He is incredible at what he does. Both times, he called me and spent about 10 minutes providing a very thorough run-through of important things which provided more understanding of things indicated in the report. He knew that I'm buying remotely from another city and that I don't know much about cars, but am a new enthusiast buying my first "cheap sports car" and he saved me from some very risky situations so far and even helped point me in the right direction. I was beyond impressed with the level of service he provided and CarInspect is lucky to have him with the company.

This company provided a technician that failed to perform to the very basic standard that one would expect for a paid pre-purchase inspection service.
While I'm certain there are good techs that perform well, annotate the flaws and deficiencies accurately, and communicate issues to potential buyers, the tech provided for my pre-purchase inspection was not one of them.
My tech simply checked all the boxes without any consideration for what may be evident or true. I cannot be certain that a road test was even performed based on the report presented in contrast to the condition of the vehicle I received.
Mismeasured tire tread depth, missing interior lights, broken hardware, paint peeling and missing in spots, obvious body damage and panel alignment issues, sagging bumper, broken grill, GLUED in taillights, MISSING headlight bulb! Floor mats indicated in the report, none present. Sunroof noted as good... Except there isn't one! None of these issues were noted. None were clearly visible in the 20ft low resolution photos presented in my report.
This is supposed to primarily be a visual inspection. I understand that. What I received was a report from someone who didn't bother to look. It's saddening. It's disheartening. It's infuriating. The issues all add up to a vehicle I wouldn't have purchased if the report were true and accurate. This wasn't just wasted money on the inspection, it's now going to cost me thousands in repairs or lost money for devaluation on resale.
I have paid for inspections before. I have received excellent service from other companies and individuals. This company completely let me down. Effectively cost me a fee for a totally worthless piece of paper and provided a peace of mind for something I should have been made to reconsider.
I cannot, in good faith, recommend this company based on my experience. Your expense may vary, but I highly suggest looking elsewhere. Don't rely on luck.

Bryan, your expertise and excellent communication skills greatly helped in allowing me to make a confident, first time vehicle purchase! I was skeptical of a 24 hour mobile pre-inspection mechanic online, but Bryan's professionalism and strong ability to compress his 15 years of expertise into a concise, universally understandable breakdown of my vehicle's condition put my worries to rest. Thanks very much for your expert advice! I definitely recommend CarInspect as a first choice business when it comes to pre-purchase inspections!
Simple easy to arrange, made the purchase much less stressful, Booking was clear and simple, Simon did a great job and spotted things I did not notice, including a red flag item that the seller is fixing.

The whole process was fast and easy. They dealt with contacting the dealership and scheduling, and they did the inspection the day after I paid. The technician called me and was willing to answer my questions about the inspection. He discovered a windshield chip that I didn't know about, and also notified me that the battery probably needed replacement, which the dealership agreed to do without charge. I haven't had any problems with the car, but I've only had it for 2 days now.

Booked it online, paid for it upfront. Within an hour an inspector was assigned. The inspector then called me and right after called the agent at the dealership and scheduled the call. The inspection was done on the same day and I had my in depth online report, with photos and a video, that very afternoon.
Thr report was detailed and the inspector, Rommel, called me to discuss and provide their suggestions and call outs. He was very knowledgeable and gave valuable insights that helped me.

Great experience with CarInspect! My inspector, Rommel, was professional, punctual, and easy to communicate with throughout the process. He conducted a thorough inspection of the vehicle, including a test drive, and took the time to explain his findings. The detailed report was delivered immediately after the inspection, making the entire process quick and efficient. I would definitely recommend this service to anyone looking for a pre-purchase vehicle inspection

I booked a pre-purchase inspection with Carinspect for a Mazda CX-5. I chose them specifically to support an independent local business, but the service was completely unacceptable.
The inspector gave a "green mark" to almost the entire vehicle, only noting a minor visual issue with the steering cover. However, when I took the car out for a test drive immediately after, I found major mechanical flaws within 15 minutes:
The steering felt extremely stiff, mimicking a vehicle that had been in an accident.
The air conditioning never started cooling after 15 minutes, accompanied by a loud, clear ticking noise from the fan.
When I checked the inspection report, the odometer log showed they only drove the car for 2 km total. On the phone, I was explicitly told they would test the car at highway speeds (80 km/h). Driving 2 km at that speed takes less than 2 minutes, meaning a proper road test was never actually conducted.
When I raised a complaint, customer service refused a refund unless I provided a video or paid for a secondary independent inspection from a different mechanic to "prove" their inspector missed something. This is a completely absurd, bad-faith demand. I backed out of the purchase and took my deposit back from the dealership. I do not own this vehicle and have no legal right to take it to another garage, nor should I have to pay a second business to audit the job Carinspect was already paid to do.
They are using predatory, impossible conditions to avoid giving refunds.
Update:- Yesterday team emailed me refusal, today its in review again. CarInspect's response claims they are just following standard policy, but they still refuse to address the fact that their inspector only drove the car for 2 kilometers total. You cannot perform a safety diagnostic at 80 km/h in 2 kilometers. Furthermore, demanding that a customer pay a second mechanic to reinspect a vehicle they do not own is absolutely an obstacle. I am letting my bank handle the dispute.

Worst service I have ever experienced. I scheduled an inspection with them and ended up losing the car I was supposed to purchase because of their negligence.
When I requested the inspection, they were quick to take my money but then never responded. They falsely claimed that the inspection had been scheduled when it wasn’t. Because of this miscommunication, I was under the impression that the car was still available, until the dealership informed me a few days later that it had already been sold.
On top of that, they never performed the inspection and did not refund my money. Terrible customer service and leadership.

Fast, thorough ,easy to communicate.
Bryan in Markham did the inspection, called with key points and insightful conversation.
I feel very confident now.
Bryan R did the inspection of a Corvette C8, it was completed in less than 24h !
Bryan called me and he took the time to explain what he saw and what he recommended, very professional !
5 stars all the way !!!
I was hesitant at first to pay online but the car seemed like an amazing deal, it was in another city and time was of the essence, so I took a gamble. I needed an inspector to go to the car for me and let me know if it was a good deal. I booked late in the afternoon and the car was inspected the day after. The inspection was really thorough and the inspector also called me to tell me everything about the car.
The service was quick and efficient. Really helped me during a quick purchase.
