ABSOLUTELY NO. We wanted to rent a car so we asked some information. They didn’t show us any price list, but just told us a price, initially 380, when they saw us uncertain, they lowered the price at 350, (which make me think they base their price on what they think they can pull) and didn’t want to show us any document about the insurance and its conditions, even though we asked them multiple times. They started getting angry at us in order to convince us to pay. They wanted us to pay without showing us any contract neither condition for the insurance (we also asked about the deductible of the insurance and how it works and they got angry). Fortunately, in the meantime, we were reading the reviews (BAD REVIEWS) so we went away.

Hired a car from Heraklion airport
Hired a car from Heraklion airport, there was not a panel on the car that had not been dented or scratched, has paid additional for a baby car seat and bigger car, was given an older Fiat tipo and a substandard baby car seat which had to be installed by placing the car seat over the front of baby on top of 3 point harness! On returning the car.. the lady turned into a forensic scientists (was not this thorough on pick up) we were then charged €350 for a stone chip that we are positive we did not cause… it was barley visible unless you really looked. When we arrived we declined their ridiculously prices excess insurance and explained we had taken our own waiver insurance out (stupidly) so when we disputed the damage we were just told “this is what you have insurance for” like it was ok to charge for minor disputed damages because we had paid insurance…. They came across as absolute scammers, it seems if they do not get money from you for the excess insurance they find fault so you are charged. The money they take is suppose to pay for the damages to the car as the out lined quote explains…. Labour, paint etc, this car has never seen a body shop so where is the money for “repairs” being spent… surely quoting someone for repair work and not carrying it out is falsifying insurance documents and fraud??

We waited at the airport for 40 minutes, although we called in advance, the registration took another 1 hour 30 minutes, since the car keys were not in the office, the car is not new (7-10 years old) when returning it, he tried to show that we damaged the hubcaps on the wheels (old scratches), and the old scratches on the paint were already rusty!!!! Your arrival time was registered for 02:00 a.m., and the rental agreement was finalized at 02:49 a.m., which includes the standard 15-minute transfer from the airport, vehicle preparation, and contract completion.
The vehicle provided was a Mitsubishi Space Star (registration POO2253), first registered in 2019, not 7–10 years old as mentioned.
During both pickup and return, all existing damages were recorded on the signed check-in/out form, and no charge was applied to your deposit for any damage or wear.
We fully understand how tiring late-night arrivals can be and regret that your experience left a negative impression. Please be assured that we remain committed to transparency and professionalism at all times.

Car inspected with particularly attention at the superior surface of rear bumper to find a 4 mm paint loss (dark gray on black surface). Or We found a Sherlock Holmes or she know what and where look for. 350 payed. Luckily We have discover car insurance that cover all money. Worst experience. If you rent an Arona dark grey pay attention to rear bumper in right side: a trap could be here.

Horrendous from start to finish
Horrendous from start to finish.
I had to wait at the airport (Rhodes) for over an hour before being collected. When the driver did arrive the vehicle was not big enough and we had to squeeze 4 on the back seat. The vehicle we had was 15 years old and dented and marked all over, on top of this the A/C did not work. We pointed this out but there was no resolution.
Upon returning the car the company tried to charge for all
Manor of marks a dents stating “they looked new” fortunately I had taken an in depth video of the vehicle and none of these “new marks” and charges stood up. A similar story for the return trip to the airport they had no vehicles big enough so they had to squeeze more people in and proceeded to speed at 130km in 80km zones to shuttle us back to the airport.
Avoid at all costs.

My experience with carq in Heraklion was so good, from the start everyone was so kind and helpful. I had information on my whatsapp before renting and on last day. One star is generous. We’re currently stranded at the airport as they cancelled our booking due to the flight being about an hour delayed. Lady on the phone was absolutely no help, and told us to email the broker we booked through, and said they’re busy and didn’t know when our flight was coming in. Don’t know if we’ll get our money back - do not book with this company.

They found a near invisible milimetric dent which doesn't show if you dont look very closely and at an angle. No way to proove near invisible dent wasn't there to begin with, charged 350 euros for that. Needless to say they are just SCAMMERs. (Near Thessaloniki Airport)
