Reservation experience

I am reviewing the reservation experience. This is the first time I have used this company for a car rental. Everything was slightly confusing as I went through kayak so it originally said I was getting my rental from thrifty which was a little bit disconcerting as I have not seen really good reviews about that car company. When I received the reservation confirmation. it told me I was running with car rental8.

The transaction was not final, then canceled by the insurance company. Sorry I wasted my time.

Unexpected deposit required!

It was ok, so far. Not telling the whole picture before you are required to pay sucks! Wouldn’t have used them if I knew I would have to pay a deposit!

Poor staff service

The web site was easy to use and rates were competitive. I made a collection city error and immediately requested a correction on the same day . The response was totally unhelpful, Can't do etc"'.
So I cancelled that booking and could actually do another booking with the correct city.
No contact phone number or address for their Australian Office.

they changed the drop off to the same…

they changed the drop off to the same city as pick up, but was supposed to be a different city.

I can't believe this company has 3.7!
Made a reservation for car few days becore trip, paid in full. Had flight delayed and phone battery low, so came 2 hours later when i said i would, and i didnt get the car.... even i paid for 3 days. How is that possible if my car was paid upfront already.... had a lot of problems in airport till i got another car, my day was waisted. Ofcourse called them and asked for refund, but i was told to call after my reservation time ends. Called again after few days and again i was told to call back after few days, after another call they said we dond do refunds, because you came late for your reservation! But i didnt even wanted refund as i wanted my car for witch i paid already... they want to keep money for them, and dont want to refund for the car i never got only because i was late 2 hours. I gues from reading other reviews everything is ok if everything is good, but if they can, they will scam you.

Third party.

Hi, just wanted to say my experience with Car Rental 8 was great!
That being said, the rental company they used to rent me my car Routes can be described as questionable.
I had to pick up family landing at the airport.
Insurance was not clearly showing full coverage was told I could pay for full coverage and change it the next day.
So I paid and I had to pay for the 14 days.
Anyways make the story short they would not except my insurance or give me my credit back.
Cost 500 USD.
Not happy, system as far as car rental 8 is okay but they are a broker.
How can you change things when you have a problem.
Car rental 8 should be careful who they rent from!

It worked without a hitch.

Rented one way. The "service charge" for one way is not included in estimate but noted in Terms and Conditions. (lots of conditions and suggest read all). The one way service charge was substantial as was the change in total costs. Don't expect your rental service (Dollar, Hertz) etc to be able to answer any questions about Car Rental 8. Car Rental 8 prepay is on top of estimate provided. More confusing than it's worth. I could have gone direct to rental service company for less rental fee in total.

Keep Trying They Do Have Live People.

Had one hell of a time to speak to a human, but after many tries, I finally spoke to a gentlman named Maurice, who made everything spread like butter on bread. Hope it is the same when we get to the airport on March the 17th. Thanks for a job well done Maurice.

Fox Rental is one of the worse places…

Fox Rental is one of the worse places to Rent from…. I was comfortable pre paying $232, I was told only $90 more to upgrade my final bill was $426.66 I returned the car with over 1/2 tank gas the car had 14.5 gallon gas tank + employees were not very friendly @Fort Myers airport location
