Price increase is ridiculous

Been using this car wash for a few years now as I like using the jet wash myself.
Visited there the other day and was shocked by the price increase. So the jet wash machine is now £1 per minute, cost me £15 to wash a small van. Can honestly say I wouldn't be using them again, Sad really because it's a nice place but greed does get the better of some companies

From initial call to the company to…

From initial call to the company to collection of finished car, was total peace of mind and was a total pleasure to deal with Gary and his team. Everything was explained in detail and I was made sure that I understood what was being done. Regular updates with video footage to show progress on car.
The end result was amazing and pardon the pun but car is as New Again - Smart repair on rear bumper amazing and the convertible roof is as new again. The paint bodywork is like a mirror and shows off the deep metallic grey of the paint. Thank you again Gary to you and the team. Amazing job

Just brilliant

I had a lot of water that had found its way into the footwell of my elderly volvo. I spoke to Gary initially; he explained in detail how they would investigate the leak and, once they'd established where the leak was and if I agreed to their quote, what the process for drying out the carpet, the foam underlay and the footwells and then the repair of the problem would be. I agreed to the initial investigation work, which showed that the leak wasn't where I had thought it was. They sent me a video showing where the problem actually was and a quote for the drying out and repair of the leak - seals around the doors and boot needing to be replaced - and I agreed to go ahead. They kept me informed at each stage with videos showing where they'd got to - including a video of them testing the repair under their rain arch once the work was completed - and I collected the car, now completely dry, after a few days. They could not have been more helpful throughout the whole process. Everyone I spoke to at New Again was kind and professional and not for one moment did they give me the run-around that I've found garages will sometimes try when they have a woman customer. I'm not local to them - a 3 hour drive each way to deliver and collect the car - but it was very well worth it. I searched for a long time to find a garage that offered this drying out and repair service and I'm extremely glad I decided on them.

Paint spillage 5 litres in rear footwell

After a can of fence paint exploded in the heat all over the rear footwell and seats of my BMW I headed down to Gary at New Again. From the start Gary was very honest and informative about what to expect and potential costings to remove the paint from carpets/seats/air vents/speakers...it was everywhere. Gary and the team sent me videos with every step of progress from start to finish and communication was very good . On collecting the car a few days later I am very happy with the job the guys have done .

Superheroes pure and simple.

The relief from finding these guys compared with the gut wrenching catastrophe of the 2.5 litre paint spill in the foot well of our car - puts them into the superhero category.

No capes visible but before we’d even given them the job, their words of knowledge, reassurance and experience helped us decide in a matter of seconds that we needed to get our car to them faster than a speeding bullet. They had us booked in at pretty much the same speed - we spoke to them at 5:30pm and they had our car at 10:30am the next morning. It took an hour and half to drive there but I’d have driven for a day and a half, now having been handed the car back three days later in the condition pretty much like the day we bought it.

The clean up and transformation they have achieved is nothing short of miraculous. You get what you pay for and that tin of paint has cost more than liquid kryptonite, but we have a car back that you’d now struggle to find any remnant of matt emulsion within. Relief doesn’t even start to describe it. Courteous to a man and consummate professionals. Superheroes pure and simple.

Beyond Superb!!

Could not recommend this outfit more highly! Knowledgeable, helpful and detail oriented. The name if the company could not be more fitting. Took in my Mercedes S500 Cabriolet with a cream top. Pretty good condition going in, nothing short of stunning when I picked it up. Spent the best part of a hour with the proprietor discussing the finer points of continued maintenance. They appear to treat every car as if it were their own. If I have one disappointment it’s that this review only allows 5 stars!! Top notch!

Pre-Return - Lease Inspection & Repairs

My Leased car is due to be returned at the end of April and on previous lease returns I have been hammered with large costs for all sorts of minor issues, Although the lease company send you a document explaining the "fare wear and tear" rules they are at best vague, leaving it to your own interpretation that are usually wrong. It is not just about what you must get repaired but just as much about what you don't need to get repaired etc. So i scoured the web to find a company that would carryout a pre-lease inspection for me based on the BVRLA guidelines. The ONLY place i could find was "New Again" in Chelmsford, Essex. After emailing and speaking to Gary and his team on the subject i decided it was worth taking the risk and driving the ~4 hours round trip journey for them to carryout the inspection. I am so glad i did !!!! Gary firstly explained how the BVRLA work and some of their directives that are not told to you from your lease companies, What i liked about the Pre-Inspection is that "New Again" include you completely in the review so you understand exactly what the inspector is likely to say and look for. After the inspection we then discussed what "must be done" what "should be done" & what "does not need to be done". New Again, has all the facilities to carryout most of the repairs, there and then, on their premises, so I left the car with Gary and the team for a couple of hours whilst i went into town for some lunch. 2 hours later i returned and the car was ready. As part of the service you get a full recorded video of the initial findings with scratch and dent measurements and after the repairs you get another Video showing what was done and what was left (either because it fell into the "fare wear and tear" category or the job was too big for "New again" to carryout (although this was not an issue in my case). That said I did have a distinctive bulge in one of my tyre's that would have failed the inspection and BVRLA Guidelines say the Tyre's need to be Like for Like and on my car that would have been at least £250. Gary made a call to another local business where they sell "partly worn" Tyres and managed to reserve me the exact same tyre for £70. The prices charged by "New Again" for removing the chips and scratches that needed to be done was open transparent and at a very fare price and tbh was far less than i thought it was going to be (and at a fraction of the cost of what the lease company would have charged me). Whereas, due to the nature of Lease return inspections and different interpretations of the standard Gary could not guarantee that my lease company will not charge me for what was left (this was made very clear to me on numerous occasions), however, with all the videos and photos "New Again" have provided me of my actual car's damage including the BVRLA Checklist it will be very hard for the inspectors to find anything they can charge me for; especially as I now have documented evidence on the exact state of my car on when i returned it. Obviously i am going to give "New Again" 5 stars based on this review but please do look at these 5 Stars as being "Gold Stars" - Thanks Gary and team at "New Again" for your outstanding service and I look forward to seeing you shortly before my next lease renewal.

Stellar results from a genuine and friendly team!

Phoned up in the morning to ask if I could bring my car in to have the roof paint assessed to see if the damage/dullness could be fixed, expecting a significant lead/booking wait time. Not only were they more than happy for me to bring it in to have a no-cost assessment the same day, they had the paint restored by 3pm! I cannot fault their service and genuine honesty. The prices are excellent and they worked within my budget, being completely transparent about the costings and not once trying to sell me anything but the most cost effective solution.

Gary and Tom have saved me the cost of a respray, and I will certainly be returning with my next car to look at their protection coating offerings, as well as any future bodywork requirements.

Highly recommend them to anyone.

Best in the business

Gary and his team provided a first…

Gary and his team provided a first class service from start to finish. I thought I had one leak but actually had two. I discovered my leak just before Christmas and they fast tracked my car which allowed me to bring it down from the Highlands of Scotland on the 27th December and put it undercover in the garage until worked commenced on the 2nd January. I was fully informed throughout the process from start to finish with calls, videos and emails. Once the works were completed I was even given a full documented report along with a guarantee which was amazing. I’ve had the car back a month now and even after two major storms in the Highlands, it’s completely dry. Don’t go anywhere else as you will waste your money. Thanks Gary for a terrific job and the professionalism shown to me.

Cannot fault this service!

It visited New Again on Saturday and have told everyone about the wonderful service I received with Gary.

We visited for an "End of lease inspection" and I would recommend anyone with a lease car to use this service. Gary is kind and very keen to offer help and advice. Our inspection was incredibly informative and Gary then signposted us to an amazing body shop to complete the large repairs.

I called and spoke to Gary again today and he has really put my mind at ease with getting some of the final work sorted.

Very accommodating and high quality workmanship! I will be returning to New Again without hesitation.

don’t recommend

absolute thieves . came in with a problem and gave us an initial price far from what they made us pay. at the end they then charged us over £1k and didn’t even fix the problem; put pieces of plastic on the car and called it a day. real crooks

Sent my car in for leak testing as…

Sent my car in for leak testing as water was pouring into front passenger side footwell. Cost me over a thousand £. They said that the door trims needed to be stuck back on with a special type of glue, gromits needed replacing (nowhere near the water ingress. Had the work done. Took car home next couple of days car sat on my drive, it rained, when I went to get in the car the footwell was flooded with water, worse than before it went in.
Rang them and after some struggle they agreed to take it back in to do repair. They then told me that the air con condenser was leaking and it need to go back to main dealer when I got car back after another cost iI took carpets out of car and dried them myself, to find that there were no leaks from the air con condenser. In total I spend > £1200 which in hindsight was a total waste. Would I use/recommend them. No would be my reply
The condensing hose had a leak and was repaired when the car was serviced. New Again found another leak that was nothing to do with the condensing hose.
When I got the car back from New again the water leak was worse than when it went in. The air con IS NOT leaking, I belive it was a mis diagnoses. The reason I did not have the car dried out by New Avain is because they wanted to charge. I took the carpets out myself and dried the car. The car has been subjected to heavy rainfall and is dry. I'm just not convinced that all the work nde again did was required..

The story seems quite confusing. To summarize, you mentioned that prior to bringing the car to us, there had been some work done on the air-conditioning, including the fitting of a new drain hose. This suggests there may have been a leak issue that was being addressed. When we returned the car to you, the necessary repairs were completed, but we advised you to visit the previous service provider to investigate the continued leaking in the air-conditioning system. You contacted us again to inquire why the car was still leaking, and during your second visit, we discovered that the plastic scuttle area below your screen was not properly clipped back, causing it to leak directly onto the air-conditioning unit. We suggested that you return to the previous service provider for further investigation, and we even offered to assist with drying the car despite not being responsible for the air-conditioning repairs. Additionally, we performed a thorough inspection, stripping, drying, and decontaminating the car, along with a 28-point check. We urge you to respond to our calls so that we can address and resolve this situation. We genuinely believe that the air-conditioning issue was not deliberately caused by the previous service provider. We previously mentioned that we were willing to contribute to the overall solution by offering to assist with drying or partially covering the cost. It is possible that your air-conditioning is still leaking if the issue has not been resolved. Although we fixed the top plastic part, our video showed the air-conditioning dripping when the car was running with the air-conditioning on.

Ceramic coating on new car

Arranged for ceramic coating (matrix black) to be applied to my brand new Skoda Superb and was advised to have it done immediately after delivery. Very helpful and flexible when pick up of the new car was delayed owing to a dealer issue. The car looked great as new but even better with the ceramic coating which was clearly applied with great care after ensuring that some minor abrasions (even on a brand new car) were corrected. As I plan to keep the car for many years this appears to be a good investment and I was most impressed by both the service and work carried out. Would certainly recommend.

Bullied lone woman

Provided verbal quote "2hrs @£72 will be £144". Then charged £181 based on a different cost formula and denied previous verbal quote. I don't appreciate being treated like I'm dishonest. I will not use again and recommend against using them. If you do use them, get a written quote. If you are a woman don't go there alone, they are bullies.

Its been a long time since we have had a bad review. So i have taken this serious. So let me say we are sorry we made you feel bullied and cheated. That would be crazy to think that was really true. I have watched and listened to all the video footage and thought about where I think it went wrong. Some of this we can honestly take responable for.
When i first passed you your final bill, you questioned the vat? our prices are shown on our website and quoted including the vat. The final invoice breaks it down showing the prices without vat then the vat added. A vat invoice has to show the vat. Your not the first person to question this. However we just can't change it, but we can explain it and it was explaied to you by myself.
The second problem you raised was that you were quoted £144 at our counter and wanted to see the footage. Having now seen all of the footage I can confirm that there was no price quoted at our counter at all. You may recall me showing you our prices including vat on the screen showing the figure to be £181 including vat and offering to investigate what went wrong. However to save any embarrassment or owkwardness I did offer to meet you halfway meaning we would be happy to remove £18.50 and insisted that it was just a mistake or we could watch the video? As james had assured me that had got it right and showed us that he had got it right according to our website. I was then asking Tom (our younger more tec guy) to show us the video footage to see where or how this mistake happened. He explained to me that it was he that handled your booking at our counter and he hadn't quoted any prices. I can confirm this from the video. I was a shame you wasn't prepared to listen to him. This infomation only leads me to think that the misunderstanding must have happened outside on the friday you originaly came in. I have also watched this footage and it does show James and Tom both looking at your car but outside cameras can't pick up the sound.
So there was a misunderstanding or a mistake made by James quoting from his memory. We may never know.
I will make sure that if we make a quote in future, that we put it in writing. We normally offer to do a formal estimate which can be emailed and or printed or we have a sheet to write it down if a customer asks. (for this we charge £50 for which comes off the total at the end) I can only apologise if James didn't offer to create and estimate or offer to write it down and ask you to reconsider your comments suggesting to anyone that we are to be avoided. We never charge people more than we estimate without asking their permission.
If you want the footage from the videos, then i am happy to show you i can email them.
If I might add, you seemed a genuine person as you can probably work out i am too. If you don't decide to use us again, then i wish you well. Thank you for the two stars anyway. I hope you were happy with what we did.

Took our car in for red convertible roof restore clean and protect …Gary and his team were truly excellent … very attentive and did a smashing job …with care and attention to detail… we would highly recommend their services …
