Do Carsa WANT to sell cars?
We've visited lots of car dealers over the past 50 years and Carsa Glouster was the least welcoming and least helpful of any (including small yards). There were few staff around and the one we found seemed bored and uninterested. We had seen 3 suitable Plug-in hybrid cars on-line apparently in Gloucester but was told none of them were necessarily actually there and he didn't know if there were any suitable. Initially the 'salesman' said we should scan cars to find out details and prices. Scanning several hundred cars was obviously ridiculous and the one we did scan didn't give a price. Cars have no info apart from the scan code, which is quite annoying. We asked the 'salesman' for help and he then did find one Plug-in Hybrid which had just come in and had no scan code. It was a suitable car and we were interested in buying it. We arranged a time to return the next day for a test drive. On driving for an hour to the appointment we were told by a receptionist that there was no record of our appointment and the car in question had gone to Bolton. We spotted the 'salesman' (who hadn't given his name or a card). He didn't look us in the eye and said to receptionist rather sheepishly 'that shouldn't have happened'. She apologised but he didn't! He said nothing to us, just walked away.
We will certainly avoid Carsa like the plague!
Pity I have to give one star. That's over-generous.

Test drove and bought car all within 48hrs. Did my research first so I knew exactly what I was looking for and what I wanted.I would recommend booking test drives and appointments as Gloucester store was extremely busy. Great experience with how quick and easy the whole process was. Staff very friendly.

I would strongly advise people to be…
I would strongly advise people to be very cautious when buying a car from Carsa. In my case, serious problems started almost immediately after I collected the vehicle.
The car was sold to me with a faulty TCU modem. It does not connect to the FordPass app, the remote functions are unavailable, and the emergency SOS button does not make a call. I reported the fault shortly after purchase. Carsa arranged a diagnostic appointment with a Ford dealership, but failed to authorise or arrange payment in advance. The dealership told me that, without confirmation from Carsa, I would have to pay for the diagnostic work myself or the vehicle could be held until the bill was settled. Despite repeated emails, phone calls and formal reports submitted through their online form, Carsa has still not taken effective action to diagnose and repair the fault.
There are also serious concerns regarding the warranty. At the point of sale, it was presented to me as two years of protection. Only after the purchase did I discover important limitations in the policy. The vehicle had approximately 59,000 miles on the clock when it was sold, while parts of the cover, including certain wear-and-tear protection, only apply up to 60,000 miles. In practice, this meant that part of the advertised protection may only have been valid for around 1,000 miles. This was not clearly explained to me before I agreed to the purchase.
The warranty documents also contained incorrect information, including the wrong address and inaccurate details about the vehicle’s drivetrain, despite the car being an AWD/4WD model. I raised these errors, but I have still not received corrected documents or a proper resolution.
The most serious issue concerns the personal data of other customers. Inside the vehicle, I found two V5C registration documents relating to two completely different cars and belonging to other people. The car also contained invoices, service records and other vehicle documents. Although some details had been obscured with a stamp, the remaining information in the documents still made it possible to identify or link them to the previous owners. These private documents were therefore left inside the car and handed over to me when the vehicle was sold.
Before the sale, Carsa responded quickly and promoted professional customer service and a two-year warranty. After payment, I was left with a faulty car, incorrect warranty documents, unclear and heavily restricted cover, and personal documents belonging to other customers. Despite numerous attempts to contact the company, I have still not received a clear answer or an effective repair plan.
Based on my experience, I feel that I was misled about the warranty and the way the sale was handled. I would not recommend this company. Anyone considering buying from Carsa should inspect the vehicle very carefully, request the full warranty terms before signing anything, and make sure that every promise made by the salesperson is confirmed in writing.

Great purchase but be aware of wait times
I was contacted immediately by the call centre when I showed interest in viewing a car I had seen online. Robyn was excellent in providing clear information and for setting up my test drive. First time using Carsa and went to the Gloucester store. Jake, our representative there, was excellent. Overall, I would consider using Carsa again as the team is helpful, approachable, the car's are reasonably priced and I am happy with my purchase. But just be aware that you could encounter a substantial wait, even if you have booked a test drive, as the reps are always so busy.

At first the sales man was very friendly and helpful although he wasn’t really listening to my terms. I paid a £200 deposit to hold the car while I waited for the finance to go through. I went home as they said it could take a couple of hours, they said they would ring me, no one rang. The next day I rang for an update and was told I was through to head office and that they would ring the Gloucester branch and someone would ring me, they didn’t. I drove to the garage to see other potential buyers looking at the car I had reserved and then they drove off on a test drive. Fuming I went in to find out what was going on, they said maybe it was valeters , definitely not!! They didn’t apologise, I said I want my £200 back as you didn’t hold the car . Then they said they would need a further £1700 to finance the car when £500 was agreed, suffice to say I walked away with my £200, won’t be going there again !!

Should have been a simple purchase
I bought a car from Carsa Gloucester with cleared funds, no part exchange, and paid the full asking price. It should have been one of the easiest sales they could have had – I simply needed a car.
I viewed the car in the showroom and it looked perfect. I also paid £350 for delivery, expecting a straightforward experience.
My delivery was agreed for Friday at 12:00, so I took half a day’s annual leave from work. At 12:00 I received a phone call saying the car wasn’t coming because it had been damaged while being unloaded from the transporter and the bumper had been broken.
I was then told not to worry, it was being repaired and the car would be delivered by 18:00 that evening. I cancelled my plans, only to receive another call at 18:15 saying it still wasn’t coming. I was then promised it would be repaired first thing Saturday morning and delivered by 13:00.
At 12:00 on Saturday I received yet another call saying it wasn’t coming because the person carrying out the repair didn’t work Saturdays.
By this point we’d cancelled our whole weekend and had been let down three times. A new delivery was arranged for Monday at 17:00, but the driver didn’t arrive until 18:30.
When I finally inspected the car, I found a large scrape around one of the alloy wheels, chewing gum stuck on the interior trim, a dirty interior, and the floor mats were missing.
The driver asked, “Are you happy with your car, sir?” I genuinely couldn’t believe he was asking.
To be fair, the damaged alloy wheel was eventually repaired, but it took another three weeks.
What should have been a very simple purchase became an unnecessarily frustrating experience due to poor communication, repeated broken promises, and the condition the car arrived in.
Would I buy from Carsa again? Perhaps not.

Bought a VW in September 2025
Bought a VW in September 2025. (2020, 55000 miles)The car now needs a new gearbox and various other malfunctionsfixed. Didn't worry too much as I had purchased the Warranty Carsa offered from Customer Protect for £850 covering all electrical and mechanical problems. Two weeks on and we are still waiting for Customer Protect to allow the dealer to start work. Apparently because it will be more than £4,000 to put right, it is causing a problem. Please do not waste almost £1,000 on this Warranty, it is not worth the hassle and worry. Seek an alternative yourself. This has been an absolute nightmare.

Avoid
Avoid! Complete waste of time.
I booked a test drive three days in advance, paid the reservation fee, and drove 1.5 hours to see the car. The day before my appointment, I even received a message confirming that the car was waiting for me.
When I arrived at the dealership, I was told that the car had been scheduled to be moved to Gloucester later that day and was no longer available to view. Instead, they offered me a different, "similar" car.
I asked if I could wait until later to see the car that I had specifically reserved, but they said no because nobody would be able today to bring it to Gloucester. The explanation kept changing and didn't make sense. It honestly felt very unprofessional and dishonest.
I'm left wondering whether the car was ever available in the first place or if the attractive online advert was simply there to bring customers into the dealership.
A very disappointing experience, a long journey completely wasted, and I would not recommend this company.

Nice car
Nice car, disappointed about admin fees being thrown at us 495,00! And no 12 month warranty, only on some vehicle’s apparently. Amy was brilliant and other team members seam abit slap dash, eating in front of customers not professional. Very busy garage and had to wait for DVLA form despite knowing we were coming to collect the car.
