Don't buy a car here

Don't buy a car here, if you do, DO NOT buy the extended warranty they will offer you, they won't disclose that they sell NON refundable warranties, the warranty company is GWC, and they have a lot of complaints as well. (Red flag, if they hand you an aritration form to sign). We bought a vehicle here and we traded it in to another dealership 4 months later after not wanting to put money into a paint job is suddenly needed. When I called to see what they needed from me as proof of sale to get a refund on the remaining balance of the warranty, I was told it was only refundable if the car was totaled by the insurance company or if it was repossessed. This is the first time I've ever heard of a non refundable warranty.
We've called them on this sneaky tactic and they will not return calls, I've told them I'd be happy even if they kick back half of it, but crickets, I told them I will file complaints with BBB, St atty general and consumer protection office which I have.

Bought a car with "no issues" only to find out its a lemon

I purchased a Volvo XC60 from CarSmart.Net after being repeatedly assured the vehicle had “no issues.” That statement has cost me thousands.

I initially questioned buying the car after reviewing the mechanic’s notes, which mentioned shaking and other concerns, but I was told everything had been fixed. I was unable to test drive the vehicle before purchase and trusted their word.

The problems started immediately after delivery. The steering wheel controls didn’t work, multiple dashboard warnings appeared, the AC and heated seat didn’t work, the vehicle still shook while driving, and the “repaired” windshield crack was still visible.

I paid for an independent inspection, which confirmed repairs were needed. CarSmart.Net eventually reimbursed part of one repair, but it took over a month to receive the check after repeated follow-ups.

I was advised to wait before reporting additional issues because I was told a faulty module could cause “weird electrical problems” and replacing it would likely resolve everything else. It didn’t. Later, salesman Shawn Bowers blamed me for not reporting issues sooner, despite me following the guidance I was given.

Since purchasing the vehicle, I’ve spent an additional $3,768.41 out of pocket, even after reimbursement. Most recently, I had to replace the battery because the car is now stalling and revving at idle, and there’s still no guarantee the issue is fixed.

Communication from Shawn Bowers has been extremely unreliable. I repeatedly received excuses about being sick, busy, losing his phone, or family issues. The last time we spoke, he promised to call me back about helping with repair costs once he got settled into his office. That call never came.

This experience has caused my family significant financial stress, wasted time, and frustration. Based on my experience, I would strongly caution anyone considering purchasing a vehicle from CarSmart.Net.

Avoid online purchase - must see as cannot trust

CarSmart.net in Tennessee (Trey Quick and Jonathan Durkee, specifically) both misled and outright lied to me about the pre-owned Audi A8 that I purchased from them. As I was trading my vehicle, they requested and I provided photos, videos as well as clear communications of the three imperfections of my vehicle which they would be unable to see if photos unless I specifically pointed them out. These were small issues, yet I knew any buyer would want to be made aware of them. Similarly, I specifically asked them for all issues, problems, shortcoming or “anything that I will have wanted to be told about.” Upon my inquiry “are there two key fobs”, I received the answer “yes.”
After the long negotiating dance over several weeks, the car was purchased. Upon delivery, only one chip-enabled key fob was provided, and the small emergency key was missing from that. Also, the lesser issue of no manual in the glove box. It is not reasonable to think that these professionals were unaware of these issues. Their failure to communicate them to me was fraudulent.
The quote for getting a replacement key fob and two replacement emergency keys (the small metal key that fits into the fob) was $935.80.
They strung me along for ten days of “we’re doing everything we can, Mr Wilcox. Don’t you worry, we’ll take care of these issues.” But nothing happened. They blatantly lied during the discovery process, so why should I expect integrity now? They banked on the fact that I would eventually give up. This is not their first rodeo.
If you consider buying from CarSmart.net in Tennessee, make sure to personally see the car firsthand. Do not trust them to be honest and forthright, just because you are. They will say whatever they need to sell.
