Fantastic customer service

Alex was super amazing- really helpful and made everything simple. Much appreciated.

Staff where friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. All advise given allowed all options to be assessed in my own time and no unnecessary products or services where pushed. I was helped to make the right choice of vehicle to suit my needs and budget rather than just trying to be steered into a higher value vehicle.

I'd recommend CarSupermarket.com Birmingham to anyone because the cars were displayed well. No pushy salesmen hovering. Tom bagshaw gave us details aboit a car I was interested in and let me have the keys to look around it. Tom was extremely helpful and I purchased a car. Transaction was seamless, staff were friendly and have recommended Tom to my daughter

⭐ Extremely poor customer service – lost a genuine cash buyer

We had an incredibly disappointing experience with Adam at CarSupermarket Grimsby and, based on his attitude alone, I would not recommend this branch.

My brother-in-law was a genuine cash buyer with a budget of £12,000. He test drove a car priced at £12,200 and was very keen to purchase it. Earlier in the conversation, he politely asked whether £12,200 was the best price the dealership could offer. Adam immediately dismissed the question in a very abrupt manner. We completely understand if there is no flexibility on price, but there are polite and professional ways of communicating that to a customer.

After the test drive, my brother-in-law asked whether the car could be reserved briefly so that he could return with his dad and get his opinion before making the final decision. Adam flat-out refused and told him, “You don’t have the money. Get your ducks in order before you come back.” Considering he had £12,000 available in cash and was seriously considering buying a £12,200 car, we found this unnecessarily rude, condescending and embarrassing.

If company policy meant the car couldn’t be reserved under those circumstances, that’s absolutely fine. The issue wasn’t the policy or being told no — it was the way we were spoken to. A simple, friendly explanation would have been completely understood.

The whole interaction felt unwelcoming from the beginning. Adam seemed uninterested in dealing with us, spent a considerable amount of time on his phone while we waited to be seen and generally made us feel as though our presence was an inconvenience. Myself, my partner and my brother-in-law are all young adults, and while I obviously can’t know his reasoning, we came away feeling as though assumptions had been made about us and how serious we were as customers based on our age or appearance.

Ironically, within 10 minutes of leaving CarSupermarket, we walked across the road to RightCar, where we received a completely different level of customer service and put a deposit down on an identical car.

CarSupermarket therefore lost a genuine cash buyer over something as simple as how a customer was treated. We weren’t expecting special treatment, a discount or for company policy to be broken — just basic friendliness, professionalism and respect.

Unfortunately, because of our experience with Adam, I wouldn’t recommend CarSupermarket Grimsby to friends or family and certainly wouldn’t choose to purchase a vehicle from this branch in future.

I would recommend CarSupermarket.com Barnsley to friends and family because they were the only place I could find the make, model and spec of car i was looking for. The pricing was very competitive. The sales person, Jason Dorset was friendly and welcoming and provided a first class service. The 'add ons' were offered but the sale remained relaxed, with no pressure to accept. I have only bought from a main dealer before, but I wouldn't hesitate to buy from carsupermarket again or recommend them to family or friends.

Courtney Squire was absolutely amazing. Answered all our questions and helped us find our perfect family car. She even took the time to drive to the post office to tax the car. Thank you so much courtney

From start to finish, Alex was extremely polite, friendly and engaging. He was helpful without ever being pushy, and nothing was too much trouble for him. The whole process was straightforward, hassle-free and genuinely enjoyable.

Honestly wouldn’t recommend buying a car from here, bought a focus for about £14,000, had nothing but problems after having the carfor round about a year, had to have a new cat, wet belt and a new engine, had to have a new turbo and suspension, tried speaking to them as all this popped up just after a year, and they wasnt interested, had a car from Arnold Clark before they was helpful all the time no matter what went wrong with the car a year or 2 after, so if you want a car go to Arnold Clark

Lovely showroom and the kids were loving waiting with lots to do and drink for them! The service is great and all the cars are open to look at and that's important. Shay was so helpful and just answered all our questions and just made everything easy.
