I had an awful experience with Carwiz Rent a Car. They falsely claimed I caused three damages to the car, which I am certain I did not. It was clear they were trying to extort money from me, but fortunately, I managed to recover the costs through my insurance.

To make matters worse, when I initially picked up the car, I paid for an additional driver and after-hours service. However, after they charged me for the supposed damages, they also charged me AGAIN for the additional driver and after-hours service, meaning I was double-billed for these fees.

Carwiz seems to be running a scam. They fabricate damages to keep your deposit and pile on extra charges unfairly. This company is unprofessional, dishonest, and untrustworthy. I highly recommend staying far away from them.

Total crooks. Rented me a battered corolla. when returned to Gdansk airport no one available to check vehicle do dropped the keys off. Then get a notification that there's a dent on the roof absolute rubbish. On my Google review I'll add photos and the the paperwork

I recently rented a car from CARWIZ and had an excellent experience. The service was top-notch from start to finish. The staff were friendly and professional, making the rental process smooth and hassle-free. The car was in perfect condition, clean, and well-maintained. I highly recommend CARWIZ for anyone in need of a reliable and efficient car rental service. I will definitely be using their services again in the future located at Courtyard Marriot Hotel .

Scammers! I was charged 272.54 GBP for a scratches that I haven't done it. I am contacting the authorities in Poland and decide to make an official complaint against the company and their practise.

Great quality/price rentals with easy pick up and drop off. My only concern is that the damage assessment did not report all scratches and dents and I had to come back and wait over one hour to get the contract amended to include the findings. Also, I was asked to call 10 minutes before drop off but nobody picked up the phone and when I got to the office nobody was there. It was difficult to get hold of CarWizz personnel on this occasion. Check your cars thoroughly before you drive away and make sure that your contract reflects the conditions of the car. Deposit was released 24h after drop off

This company are a scam and behave like criminals. They will claim you have scratched the car (they do it) then try charging crazy amounts. Please avoid

I do not recommend this company. They are frauds, the employee who is at the front desk is rude and not nice. They do not let you read the contract and sign the car rental. They only charge me a deposit that will be returned later. When you return the car you still have nothing, no contracts. But later it turns out that various transactions have been charged on your card account. When you call them, the person does not help, they are just mean and aggressive towards you. I was robbed by them without my consent and signature, they charged me for the insurance premium, which I did not agree to and did not sign, and of course the second charge that I smoked, but I do not smoke at all. Please check and demand the contract before renting.

I spent nearly an hour inspecting damage on the rental car. It was cold, raining and very dark… I found another 3 small areas of damage not shown on CARWIZ’s damage chart and god only knows what I missed! So this was my first suspicion that this is a clever scam. If you drive just 1km you can get very minor damage from other vehicles throwing up grit and small stones.. CARWIZ will charge you for repairs that are unrecorded on the damage chart you sign when collecting the car. Be aware!

SCAM ALERT– be extremely careful!

I returned the car in perfect condition, yet they charged me 700 zł for a so-called “scratch” that was clearly just a small smudge or dirt mark. It could have been removed with a proper cleaning, but they treated it as serious damage.

It feels like a deliberate strategy to charge extra from customers who don’t take their full insurance. Totally unfair and unprofessional.

I booked trough a 3th party and only saw at the very last moment it was with Carwiz as rental company. Thank you for all the negative reviews, that's how I managed to not get scammed by Carwiz.

I managed to return the car in the same condition as received 4 days earlier.
Upon returning the vehicle there was no one at the desk. So I've called them, they told me to drop the keys in the dropbox. I kindly refused and said I wanted to do the vehicle inspection with them. After a short 20 minutes the agent arrives.
He was extremely unfriendly and hostile. Even a simple "hi" was too much to ask apparently. I guess he knew I've been reading their reviews online and knew I wasn't going to let me get scammed.
I demanded a signed paper that the vehicle was returned in original condition & my €1000 deposit released on the spot.

The car was good, but thats about it.
Extremely rude behaviour

Avoid renting with them, clearly scammers eventhough I got lucky to not get scammed.

The company is ripping customers off. When handing over the car, they give proposals for insurance more expensive than several times the rental amount. The proposal is in the form of those can't-reject known from Coppola movies, they threaten you with consequences when you return the car. At the time of delivery, the employee searches for various damages and if you do not have them in the photo from the day of release of the car you pay for the damage estimated by carwizz the amount (for example, polishing a minor scratch costs 700 zlotys is 170 euros). These damages the company does not remove. There were more than 40 damages on my car, which I had to check, otherwise you will pay. Find 40 scratches on a black car at night! It's crazy. When passing the anonymous employee as if he knew perfectly well where to check, for example, he touched the underside of the bumper just on its side, where there was a scratch from the curb. It is impossible to take a picture from under the car! In Krakow, the car pick-up is outside the airport, and the shuttle service works poorly, I waited more than half an hour in the cold in front of the terminal. The driver was abrasive.

Firma naciąga klientów. W momencie wydania samochodu dają propozycje ubezpieczenia droższego kilkukrotnie od kwoty wynajmu. Propozycja ma formę tych nie do odrzucenia znanych z filmów Coppola, grożą konsekwencjami przy oddawaniu auta. Przy odbiorze pracownik wyszukuje różne uszkodzenia i jeżeli nie masz ich na zdjęciu z dnia wydania auta płacisz za szkodę szacowaną przez carwizz kwotę (np. polerowanie drobnej rysy kosztuje 700 zł to jest 170 EUR). Tych szkód firma nie usuwa. W moim aucie było ponad 40 uszkodzeń, które miałem sprawdzić, bo w przeciwnym razie będziesz płacić. Znajdź 40 zarysowań na czarnym samochodzie w nocy! To szaleństwo. Przy zdawaniu anonimowy pracownik jakby doskonale wiedział gdzie sprawdzać, np. dotykał spodnią część zderzaka akurat z jej strony, gdzie było zarysowanie od krawężnika. Nie sposób zrobić zdjęcia od spodu samochodu! W Krakowie odbiór samochodu jest poza lotniskiem, a dowóz działa słabo, czekałem ponad pół godziny na mrozie przed terminalem. Kierowca opryskliwy.

Rented a car in Wrocław. The process was quick and straightforward. The car was clean and ready to go. Upon my return, I placed the keys in the box as I had an early flight. The next day, my deposit was unlocked from my credit card. I have used Carwiz a few times and haven't had any issues so far.

My experience with them is absolutely dreadful!
Despicable individuals charging you for pre-existing damages!!!!
My bill was a whopping £600
After returning the car, they have the audacity to claim that the windows have new scratches... what a complete joke!!! The report clearly shows that the scratches were already there
There is no one available to inspect the car upon return, you just receive an email with your fraudulent bill.
No luck getting any kind of response!

I must admit I got worried after reading the reviews.
But I picked up my car on Wednesday without any problems, car was clean, tidy and modern. On the return I have been instructed to drop the keys to the drop off box but there was a staff still around so I’ve asked if it possible to check car now as I was worried if there would be anything wrong then I’d loose deposit. But no, the car was good they said they will send me an email asap with confirmation and they did indeed.
Very pleased with the service and prices were well good!
Would recommend and if I’d ever need a car again I would use carwiz again ✌🏼

Clean and fully working car. Very friendly customer service. Easy car booking and returning processes. This is what I needed when I landed in the middle of the night and just wanted to get home 3h away. Thank you very much!
