Got this for the wife who loves true crime documentaries. Was a hit with both of us a good 2-3 hours of fun investigating all the evidence pack and police systems :)

Great case ideas. We Loved the police database search it made the game that bit more interactive and unique. Me and my wife have done quite of few of this sort of game, The Author was definitely one of the best we have done.

This is great for a party and there is lots for everyone to do, working in little groups and contributing their piece to the overall picture.

My only issue is that the game can come off a bit sterile due to the absence of human actors—or even a handwritten letter. If AI has any use at all, it's definitely not in storytelling.

Having done quite a lot of these games I bought the author to give it a go. One of the best ones I have done with a lot of well thought out logical clues. The Facebook and messenger group was a great touch to reach out for help if you got stuck.
I went on to purchase the athlete one as a fully online one which I love the idea of and would love more. Another great case. Had a couple of issues with evidence not working on my iPad, got in touch with Joe and he got straight back to try and help me sort it out. Got it to work on the desktop computer and Joe is working on a fix for the iPad his customer service is excellent, he even offered me a refund if I could not get it to work.
Really looking forward to his next case and hope he keeps it up.

The Author - a great murder mystery with lots of evidence to search, and really interactive! Also loved the aspect of the Facebook Community.

Brought this as a valentines present for me and my partner. We really enjoyed working in it together, but finding the first name of Patrick, well that wasn't in anyway easy. I ended up just guessing random mens first names. Would love to know if we missed something or if this was the intent. Otherwise, really good case file. Wil definitely do more

we must easily have done 50 of these types of games, from various different providers. This was right up there, probably the best. Really good clues, everything was logical and made sense and it all tied together well. We've done loads of other games where you don't have to actually do anything, it's just reading, but here you need to take info from one piece of evidence and combine it with another. Absolutely great fun. I will say, it was a little fiddly logging in, we kept seeing 'you have already logged in', so had to bookmark the URL to the author page rather than click the image on the login page, but that was a very minor complaint. Can't wait to do the rest of them

A brilliant and in depth case with so many leads and pieces of evidence and interactive online parts! We really enjoyed working through it but could do with a wrap-up at the end so we can see how everything connected and worked out! Brilliant, thank you.

The Athlete case has everything a good detective game needs: Structure, logic, complete, and you have to use your brains, eyes and ears very well!!

I really enjoyed this murder mystery! The Author is a digital experience where you are the detective searching for information. It is very realistic since you must determine who the suspects are and their motives. There is just the right amount of detail and evidence to help you catch the killer. I also love the tools that are available for you to use to find missing information (ie license plate and phone number search). The owner / creator Joe is very responsive and helpful. Looking forward to playing many more games of his in the future!
