Paul Ursell has honestly given me my quality of life back. I was a very nervous patient and put off doing anything about my declining eyesight. I so wished I hadn’t wasted so much time prevaricating. He makes you feel at ease and is the ultimate professional. Everything went very well and to say I am thankful is an understatement.

At the end of last month, Mr Ursell carried out a cataract operation on my right eye. I was somewhat nervous having had the same operation done over 20 years ago on my other eye. I need not have worried though, as Mr Ursell was very reassuring both in the pre-operation meeting and during the operation itself.
The operation was hardly more stressful than a visit to the dentist and was very successful. I would recommend anyone to consult the cataract doctor.

I elected to have both eyes operated on by Paul Ursell after witnessing firsthand successful results of a friend and family member, and learning from others how easy, pain-free and quick the recovery was following procedure. Having had to change glasses constantly for my daily work I sought a solution from Mr Ursell, (having researched his track record) and was delighted at his professionalism and that of his team. Having new lens in my eyes has transformed my life and I can see both long and short distance without any issue. I now have 20/20 vision, am glasses free - it has been liberating and I am delighted by the results.

I had operations on both eyes and was very happy with all aspects of the procedures and would recommend Mr Ursell unreservedly. I was made fully aware of all aspects of the treatment both prior to and during the treatment. I am very pleased with the results.

Options and risks were explained at initial consultation; after mulling over for a couple of days I decided to proceed with both eyes on basis of no longer requiring glasses for long distance. Procedure was quick, no pain afterwards, good chats with other patients and gained the anticipated outcome within 2 days; by obtaining some cheap reading glasses was back at computer screen for work within 48 hours. Check up 10 days after 1st eye procedure was all positive so proceeded with 2 eye and that had an equally good outcome

Was concerned about the procedure as a natural coward but from the outset Paul set me at ease explaining the various options i had and how it would be done. The cataract removal was no problem for me and while undergoing the op Paul spoke to me informing me what he was doing and we discussed other topics which took my mind off what was going on.Would highly recommend Paul and now encourage

I am thrilled with the results of the distance toric lens Paul Ursell fitted in January. At the first consultation, Paul explained the options very clearly, he was very supportive and I felt confident with the agreed procedure. I am delighted with the result and am seeing better than I have in years. It is so wonderful to be free of contact lenses and glasses. The operation is quick and easy, frankly far less of a bother than having a tooth filled.
After a lifetime of poor eyesight compounded by cataracts I now have pretty well perfect eyesight.

Mr Ursell was friendly, caring and professional. He explained the pros and cons of cataract surgery during the consultation and what to expect post surgery. He completely put me at ease during the operation, which was pain free and checked that I was ok afterwards. Having both cataracts removed, my eyesight is now far better than it ever was. I just need to wear glasses for reading. Fabulous result.

Great experience! Paul Ursell is not just an excellent surgeon but also an excellent communicator, such an important skill, so often lacking. His secretary Karen is also very helpful. My vision is now amazing and I won’t hesitate to recommend him to everyone.
