They were more expensive than the dealer. Now I know better. Slipped extra costs on the quote. Asked them to check brakes and they "forgot."
Charged me $90 to tell me I was right about the problem. Sooooo expensive!!!! Over $900 to replace a wheel bearing.

I called for an estimate for a small repair. They said they needed my email address. I was confused as to why, knowing better I gave it to them anyway. Since then, I've been waking up to 20-25 junk emails and countless throughout the day. BTW their "quote" was over the top and outrageous. Don't walk away from these people......RUN,RUN,RUN.............

As a Christian I don’t trust “Christian” companies

I needed a new heater hose. And pcv valve.
I dropped it off after telling them what I wanted (no diagnostics necessary).
They quoted me ~$375 for the pcv valve. No thank you….did it myself for $15 and 15 minutes, literally, OEM PART.
The heater hose was kinda a pain. Required coolant replacement so I said go ahead on that for ~$450.
Next morning at 7am I get a call. They broke another hose and it would cost $950plus. I was taken aback. After my justifiable pushback price was reduced to ~$850. They replaced a couple hose on the top of my engine….
They screwed me. Not only are their prices egregious, the repair they made a few months ago failed. Simple hose connection came undone. They put a hose clap over snap connection. Coolant everywhere. I don’t have time to illustrate how greasy these bastards are. You’re giving Christian’s a bad name.
The only pleasure I get out of repairing your failure is going out of my way to discourage people from going to you. I will never understand why humans associate fancy shiny buildings with success. I don’t want christian radio, I don’t want a shiny waiting room, I want fair and quality service. You broke my car more and double the cost. I’d go on but I have to fix your shortcoming and see if the overheating didn’t blow my head gasket.

First they run a very professional…

First they run a very professional operation. Well organized and friendly. So why the bad review? Appearances are misleading. Last September I brought my car in for an oil change and inspection. They performed well and gave me a long list of maintenance issues to be done. I was interested and looked it over very closely because my car is a 2008, I bought it new, it is in excellent condition, and I would like to keep it that way and wanted to get this done. $450 for replacing 6 spark Plugges was shocking and I sad so. They gave me a break and took off $50. I found someone else to do the work for a lot less. I just brought it back to have it inspected Monday at about 8:30am and they indicated they could get it done by end of day. No so. I left it there over night and at 11: 30 the next day I called, and they said it probably might not be done today. I picked up my car and left. Don't think they want my businees.

Terrible i went in and the quoted me almost 1700 for a car repair, and guess what i didn't have any issues before and they call me last minute and say oh your wheel is wobble making noises, we need to remove and replace wheel bearing. This sounded like a scam from the get go, because i didn't see any problem before and all of sudden my car is shaking. So i tell them to fix it, ends up costing almost 4000, i say fraud and sue them. In court I won that 4000 back suckers. Stop SCAMMING YOU WILL LOSE

Online scheduling

I scheduled my service at 7:00AM with shuttle service only to be told that I have to just drop it even though I have email confirmation. They should not do their online scheduling if they cannot fulfill it.

I wish I could give ZERO

I wish I could give ZERO - Charged us over $1300 to fix something and it was NOT fixed, same issue as before. Returned the van and they kept it over a week and STILL could not fix it and then returned it after a week with a large screw in a brand new set of tires. HORRIBLE place! This was Bradenton 34212 location

Never going back again

Went in for a routine inspection in Nov 2023, was “upsold” a few services, one of which they made it sound like was dangerous if I did not do it — coolant flush and replace. So I spent $330 after expecting a simple $40 visit. Fast forward to today, I went back to ask them to top off my coolant that has fallen below the “low” line as recommended by the Subaru dealer so that I am not mixing coolant types. Turns out the coolant type they listed on my invoice is not what they used on my car and in fact do not know what they used in my car bc they don’t carry the blue coolant. So they either didn’t do any flush or drain at all and just left the old coolant in there, or they used something else and falsified the records. A good customer service response would have been to own the potential error/omission/fraud and offer to flush drain replace and check for leaks at no charge. They instead said sorry, good luck and see ya later. Never going back here again.

Unless "screw thy customer" is a core…

Unless "screw thy customer" is a core Christian value, they aren't very Christian.

My Ford cooling system blew a Tee-Connector (see photo). I checked with a well known Repair Estimator and received an estimate of $220-330 to replace the upper hose assembly. I'm new to the area and didn't know who to take it to, so I checked the list that was offered, found Christian Brothers and took it there. I got a call later that day from one of their "advisors" and was told that it would cost a whopping $800.00+ to replace a radiator hose assembly that I could get for <$110 from practically anywhere. When I balked at the high estimate, the "advisor" made the outrageous claim that the repair required "a rare part" and 1-1/2 hours of labor at $165.00 per hour (the State average is $126.00 / hr) plus two gallons or so of coolant. I contacted the manager and had him try explain this "new math" to me. I tallied $165 * 1.5 (labor) + $110 (parts) + $40 (coolant) = $397.50. Where did the $800.00 estimate come from? When I pointed this out, the manager (Hunter) said that the estimate had been revised (for reasons unknown) to a mere $580 and that I should be okay with that because his business was an "honest" one. When I asked if he had read the reviews of his "honest" business lately, he snarkily replied yes "from all 13 keyboard warriors", a derogatory reference, in my opinion. I refused service and had my vehicle towed to another shop. "Christian" Brothers, practice what you preach.

Went for one thing and was told I needed an engine lmao

I wish I was joking but I went to them for a simple canister valve replacement and they said I needed a new engine. Went to a shop down the street and they charged me $100 to replace it and I went and got it inspected right away and have had zero problems since. Christian brothers tried to rip me off for 10K for a new engine. They even had financing available! So they must pull this scam on a lot of folks, I will never go back unless I’m a hostage.

Several months back

Several months back, I was looking for mobile automotive repair because I am in a wheelchair. I called Christian Brothers Automotive in Mesa, on McQueen. I have looked at the reviews and understand many people aren't happy with This company.

However I was quite happy with the service I received as well as the staff's courtesy. They pick up a car and deliver back to the customer. I offered to pay a delivery charge, but they refused. I also forgot to tip the individual who brought the car back. My fault. being 80, my memory is not always reliable. I also felt that their charges for the service i needed were fair. some companies do list charges for some services right on their site, and i like that. when my car needs a repair or some service i will call them .

PS date is approximate due to memory.

un-usual Estimate for repair

I took my car over to Christian Bros (on Rayford Road) with my car having some noise while driving, after they check the car they gave me an estimate of $ 1,620 to repair. When i heard this un-usual repairing charge I said i would take my car back. I paid them an amount of $189 their diagnostic charges (this is they make money on every car comes in for repair just a free money). And went to a different repair shop, they charge me only $473 for everything. whereas CBA were about to charge me $1620
last month I took my an other car to them, they gave me an estimate of $ 5,300 (Lexus-ES350) for to fix engine/and tire sign on, my this car still running fine and perfect without any problem and engine sign is not there anymore but I paid them $189 ( anyway they making money just by giving you an un-usual estimate)
My advise to you all please consider seeing and taking vehicles to different other place and have 2nd opinion.
I used to have very honest impression for CBA, now I learned

Great service

They repaired my car the same day it was taken to them. The price was fair, their driver picked me up at my home to get my car, also polite. I'm almost 70, a single woman, and this customer service and repairing my car means a lot to me.

Poor Service Experience

I have always used Christian Brothers Automotive from Houston to Fort Worth and now in Frisco. However, this is my first experience with this particular location. My car had multiple issues: water leaking inside, a noisy blower motor, the need for an oil change, and problems with the battery and brakes. I could only afford to address the water leak and the blower motor.

After the work was completed, I repeatedly asked if the blower motor had been fixed and was assured it had been inspected and was in good condition. Two days later, the blower motor began working intermittently. When I called the representative I had been dealing with, he consulted the manager, who told me to bring the car back in.

This morning, I received a call from someone else at the shop who said they had no information about why I dropped off the car, and my original rep was not there. The person I spoke with was somewhat arrogant and uninterested in listening to my concerns, instead offering excuses. He mentioned there would be labor charges because the motor had been submerged in water last week due to a clogged AC drain. When I tried to discuss the situation, he interrupted me.

I told him not to do anything further, as I would take my car elsewhere. My main frustration is that no one asked if I wanted the blower motor replaced last week when the car was already apart and the motor had been submerged in water. This simple question could have saved me from being charged twice for the same labor. A little courtesy would go a long way. I need about $2,000 worth of work on my car, and while I am trying to get the money together, I will be taking my business elsewhere. This experience was very disappointing.

Fooled me twice

Fooled me twice, shame on me. My daughter took her car to CB for simple oil change. A few days later noticed an oil leak. When she took her car back they charged her for $169 diagnostic and recommended a bunch of work.
I took my car there a week ago for
simple oil change. The next day there was a large puddle of oil on garage floor. When we took it back in they wanted to do a $169 diagnostic instead of just figure out what went wrong with oil change. We got our money back and are taking it somewhere else.

Incompetence almost destroyed my car

On November 3, 2023, I took my car to this shop for an oil change. Several weeks later I noticed an oil leak with drops on my garage floor. I waited a bit to see if it continued and it did, and my gut told me something was not right. I took my car to a different shop for another oil change after only 1500 miles, and they told me that my oil filter and drain plug were loose and the filter was about to come off. The engine oil had leaked all over the bottom of the motor from the loose filter. That explains the drops on my garage floor.

Also, Christian Brothers was very pushy about upselling me both a fuel additive and a coolant pressure test and charged me almost $50 for 8 ounces of coolant, which may or may not have been necessary.

If I had not checked and taken my car to a different shop it would have been likely that the oil would have all leaked out and my engine would have been ruined. This is inexcusable.

This is the WORST mistake any repair shop can make. Changing the engine oil and filter and tightening them properly is basic and simple to do. This shop was unable to do even this simple work properly.

UPSELL PRESSURE + INCOMPETENT WORK = NOT RECOMMENDED.

Overinflated pricing and nonessential…

Overinflated pricing and nonessential repair requirements for Inspection. Quoted $3500 for repairs (vehicle only worth about 6,000.) Gulp! Went for a second opinion and spent a fraction of that cost.

Do Not Use!

Do Not Use!! Alignment Work Is Not Under Warranty!

I recently had major work done by Christian Brother in Tega Cay and asked them to do a tire alignment on the car. A week later I got on the highway for the first time and noticed the car pulled strongly to the right at highway speeds.

Took the car back today for them to re-do the alignment and was quoted $120 for the work. I explained that they just did an alignment 1.5 weeks ago and that I should not be charged. Their response? "We don't warranty alignments."

Use at your own risk! I will never use them again.
