The wooden water butt tap works very well - the only snag is that the plastic tap inside it leaks and a fountain of water comes out of the plastic tap every time I use it.

Superb Item, Great Company
Fabulous item, aged but in excellent condition. Exactly what we wanted and expected.
Lovely company to deal with, very helpful staff who never lost their patience no matter how daft my questions were.

Bought my oak beam from Celtic Timber …
Bought my oak beam from Celtic Timber to go above my gas fire expecting a solid piece of wood weighing 20kg to last a considerable amount of time but its not even lasted 18 months, totally warped nothing can ever sit on it flat iv had to take it off the wall, i contacted Celtic Timber explaining the situation and that something like this cant just happened over night there must of been a defect with the oak from the start, i got a reply back saying they wont be doing anything about it, not happy with the service and that i was sold a defected item.

I am sorry that you feel disappointed in the product and the service that we have provided.
Unfortunately, oak is a natural product and as our beams are air dried rather than kiln dried, they do still contain moisture and will continue to move as they adjust to their new environment. We do make this abundantly clear on our website and other selling platforms and would never guarantee that an air dried beam will remain as it has been sold or will remain perfectly straight.
We would be able to guarantee this with our kiln dried oak, but it is more costly due to the drying process.
Sorry that we are unable to help any further and hope you understand our situation.

Excellent barrels
Excellent barrels. I ordered two the first one came with the bung pushed a long way in and leaking badly had to seal it with bitumen if I had hammered the bung further it could have gone inside and I had waited two weeks to see if it would seal. Bit disappointed. Second one excellent with bung slightly protruding sealed in two days. These barrels are excellent value for money and would recommend despite the slight problem I had.
