Nothing was to much for this team of people who cared for us from the minute we walked through the door. Supported us through everything and paid attention to all the small details which meant alot. Talked us through everything clearly and supported through emotional moments.

Great service provided by all at Walsall Coop funeral services.

Overall the services which were provided were very good. All staff were extremely professional.
However the office in Castle Donington lacked any form of privacy to accommodate families and their grief. Members of the public could walk straight into the middle of you making funeral arrangements. No refreshments or toilets. In my opinion Castle Donington office is not ideal for families who are struggling with a bereavement.
If we had been offered to visit the office in Borrowash to make our arrangements we would have preferred to have gone there.

Caring, compassionate and supportive at a time when you need it most.
Was kept fully informed and on the day of the funeral - absolutely was to clockwork precision.
Almost the hottest day of the year and their professionalism to do all things correctly was above and beyond.
What is already traumatic was made gentler by their caring hands.

Amazing service! Took care of everything so we didn’t have to worry about a thing! The team were so kind and thoughtful and especially Lyn who made us feel so at ease at such a difficult time! Funeral service went so well and to all involved we would like to thank so very much! Dad would have been so pleased with the care and service he received!

Caring professionals who guided us and supported us through the whole process of organising my auntie’s funeral and the funeral itself. This extended beyond the funeral to all the liaison work with the church to arrange the interment of my auntie’s ashes. Really helpful with information including local knowledge in suggesting a venue for the wake. Excellent communication throughout.

I initially would have recommended them as my mum's funeral was lovely. I no longer would as we had to set up a payment plan for some of the costs after the funeral, the plan has been paid on time for 2 years without problem. I've now started receiving texts & calls from an agency allegedly acting on their behalf to recoup the 'debt'! My mum was NOT a debt, we have a payment arrangement that has been maintained per agreement, that is also NOT a debt. I'm sure won't be the only family you've caused such upset to! 😡 I called to find out what was happening I was assured by Holly in (who answered on 01543 421 377 as 'Debt Control') that she'd escalated this & that I would be contacted. I've now received a rather generic letter, no name on the bottom saying I need to contact the new company 'immediatley' (why, my July payment is paid) I have to make a 'new plan' with a debt company that doesnt have great reviews & clearly harrass people, otherwise further action will be taken (sounds ominous, doesnt it & certainly not the compassionate impression they try to initially give) Further to this Holly is either unaware of what's going on, or she's a bit of a fibber, she advised that the reason my payment plan had been passed elsewhere is because the original company (Churchill) were closing. Firstly, Churchill were totally unaware of why the Co-op had stopped using them (you'd kinda think they'd guess the reason if they actually were closing, wouldn't you) Secondly, 'Google is your friend', why make something up so easily fact checked? I suspect I know why they've started using the lesser thought of company. I've a pretty good idea it's to do with costs but don't lie about it & don't treat grieving families so poorly. I wouldn't recommend anyone to use Central Co-op Funeral Services now, largely due to the 'aftercare', I'll be actively discouraging people going forwards.
