CEX IO have good tming putting MY MONEY back to MY debit card UNDER MY NAME.

Gush what an ass holes they are
this confirms that cex io is very strict and yes cross the line to arrogant for customers while is fast but lacks logic customer care.

Just because my husband helps me "decide" what to buy. BUT I do the buy and sale. Enough form them to get arrogant and huffy with us.
The tell us to send a video for them, delete all my devices. == IF I do that I loose access to all even to talk to them in tyhe chat. So they want me to loos my money.

Transactions Restricted

After my initial review and after providing my user ID to CEX as requested, CEX has blocked all transactions. I can no longer purchase crypto with any payment method. CEX also did not reach out to me regarding my initial review as promised. Retaliatory behavior is beneath any reputable company. Stay away

I sign up make two withdraws then they suspended my account for 48 hrs for no reason, place is a joke, terrible customer service, find a different exchange.

Two days later, I've got my account unlocked but the won't send my money, am I being punked, the got every excuse to hold money

Arrogant support, in specific Helen Foster. They make fun of you, want thousands of screenshots, let you wait for days and after they may even close your account. Waste of time

This is the worst platform ever!

This is the worst platform ever!! The process of buying crypto is easy but when it’s time for you to withdraw it’s a nightmare 😩!! It’s ridiculous!! Funds stolen from CEX.IO platform - Ukradena su sredstva sa CEX.IO platforme

I used CEX.IO for several years and considered it a reliable platform, but despite having all available security measures enabled, my account was hacked and I lost all my cryptocurrencies of significant value on this platform. I always accessed my account from IP addresses in my country of residence, for which I had provided supporting documents during the KYC verification process. However, the CEX.IO security system failed to block or even suspect anything when a hacker accessed my account from an IP address on the other side of the world. The funds are irreversibly lost, and the platform’s representatives refuse to take any responsibility. I do NOT recommend using CEX.IO as it is NOT SAFE!

Koristio sam CEX.IO više godina i smatrao sam da je to pouzdana platforma ali i pored aktiviranih svih dostupnih bezbednosnih mera moj nalog je hakovan i izgubio sam sve kriptovalute u značajnoj vrednosti na ovoj platformi. Uvek sam pristupao nalogu sa IP adresa svoje države u kojoj sam rezident i iz koje posedujem dokumenta koja sam CEX.IO platformi dostavio prilikom KYC verifikacije ali bezbednosni sistem CEX.IO nije blokirao moj nalog niti posumnjao kada mu je pristupio haker sa IP adrese na drugom kraju planete. Sredstva su bespovratno izgubljena a zvaničnici ne prihvataju odgovornost. Ne preporučujem korišćenje CEX.IO platforme jer NIJE BEZBEDNA!

Honestly this website is disgusting…

Honestly this website is disgusting they charge like 10%-20% for purchasing crypto and swaps without making it clear the charges they will take... I am literally lost for words and it was not always this bad they just became thieves as time went on.. honestly looking for alternatives and i would never recommend anyone use this service, they said they would charge 5% as i purchased the crypto then charged me a hidden service fee for another 7%, what exactly did they do with 12% of my transaction??

Onerous ID / KYC requirements but once you do that it all works!

I have been using CEX.IO for a few years, though only very rarely. Using it just now I was concerned to read so many recent negative reviews but it is my understanding that these are caused more by problems with ID verification than with CEX themselves. I made a transaction and then tried to withdraw as a bank transfer; it was stuck at "pending" all weekend, but on Monday morning I got an email from CEX customer services, telling me to re-confirm my address details. I did this and then the transfer went through within half an hour. I think CEX are trying hard to operate within the very strict legal and regulatory framework in each country they are operating in, and this necessarily means they have to follow strict internal procedures. Be patient people, do everything they ask you to in full, and wait for them to process it. I am happy to play along with all of their hoops and obstacles which help them to stay registered and legally permitted to operate. In my experience, the system works exactly as it is meant to hence giving it a 5* review.

If I could give zero stars I would..

If I could give zero stars I would... What these people are doing is borderline teetering on the line of committing deliberate negligence. The extent of how far they go to do this I'm honestly surprised someone hasn't already filed a class action lawsuit. First of all I tried pulling my money out of the account last year and had all kinds of issues with errors and all kinds of nonsense (which many have brought up this complaint because they put up roadblocks from start to finish). Ontop of that now I can't access my account because I no longer have access to the phone number I signed up with.

*If you register with this company and where to ever have an issue losing your login or no longer have the same phone number for the verification you are absolutely screwed. If you go and email their support no one will answer and all you will get is a automated email saying they dont give out "personalized responses" via email and to seek assistance via their website chat. When you go to the website chat they say the same thing that we dont give personalized resonponses from a actual support member without logging in for security reasons...*

(its incredible the audacity to even say that... Theres not a legitimate company or financial service in the world that gives you APSOLUTELY NO WAY TO SEEK ASSISTANCE from a actual member of their support providing no means whatsoever to recover your account.)

This company not only provides no way of manual verification to regain access to your account but actually has the audacity to tell its clients if you lose your log in that is reason enough that we cannot provide help to regain access to your account again for security reasons (which anyway you wont be able to do because you need to login to be able to contact someone in the support chat).

You had to give a SSN when you signed up but your saying simply because you lost your login or in my case just having my phone number changed is valid enough reasoning that your identity cannot be verified to regain access to your account... You realize not even a bank will deny its clients the ability to regain access to their account if you are able to provide identification like your social.

They have no intentions on helping you access your account because they are deliberately negligent and put up barriers so you can never access your money again.

Already seeing major issues with this…

Already seeing major issues with this platform. Verification has failed over 20 times. Requested all types of documents/verification that are completely unnecessary. Thousands and thousands of similar 1 star reviews. Most 5 stars left the same day/time which is highly impossible. Clearly seems to be a scam.

After leaving this review I was contacted quite quickly (go figure) by rep Harry White. Advised of issue, gave link to resubmit debit card verification. Magically, it went through within 1 min. THEN, several minutes later I received another request from site to verify another debit card. Ok no problem. EXCEPT...same damn issues as the first! Site immediately rejects the new submission. Also tried to link provided by Harry White, which was also immediately rejected! Same camera, same bathroom, same day, yet different result. Besides the fact they previously sent me an email stating that "my payment card has been verified". Or, How the hell else would I be able to make a purchase!! How also is it possible to do any type of verification within 1 sec? Not possible. Most definitely going with scam on this site like the thousands of others who have left THE EXACT SAME COMPLAINT! Will be contacting higher authorities on this one as I'm certain that they have stolen my money. Special place in hell for the proprietors of this criminal organization...

So once again almost immediately after leaving comment I was contacted. Same bs. Now limited my account and requested for me to withdrawal funds. Inquired how, they advised and I proceeded. Now withdrawal has been pending (To ETH address) for over 2 hours. Judging again by the THOUSANDS of others who have experienced the same, not looking forward to withdrawal being cleared. Not one other exchange/platform have I ever experienced such major issues. Ever! Still under the impression this is a scam…

After weeks of KYC...

This is a follow-up to my previous review.
After weeks of stress and countless document submissions, I’m truly relieved and grateful to have full access to my CEX.IO account and funds again!
The verification process was very thorough - they requested proof of residency, bank statements, notarized translations, marriage certificate, and more, following their KYC procedures.
It wasn’t easy, but I appreciate that they take security seriously.

KYC BEING USED TO SCAM*see updates

I am very disappointed and sad, I joint cex.io with the intention of using my account to help my mother who is scheduled for surgery soon. I wanted to invest in bitcoin so I can grow my funds to assist. 2 of my family members deposit 5k and 4k total 9k in my cex.io. I was told to provide proof of funds. I provided my business license, my bank statements, my contract and receipts from my car rental company showing my income. Despite of this my account was suspended. I was informed that I need to show the name of the persons who transferred the funds. Because the funds came from a decentralized account, it doesn't require an id therefore the accounts would not show what cex.io was requiring me to provide.I however provided cex.io with the screenshot of the transactions showing my address and the details of the transaction which was provided to me by my family members. Because of this they have frozen and suspended my account because of a KYC investigation they claim. The KYC investigation I was told has no time frame, this has to be a scam. They are using the KYC Clause to suspended and seize customers funds. This is a pretext to steal. I have reported this matter to the FBI and New York state attorney General office. I will also be contacting my Representative Maxine Walters. I am a retired person who worked hard for my money. This is not right to used the pretext of KYC to steal funds of customers. I am requesting publicly for you to expedite my review and release my funds and return my money. I supplied my ID, my business license, my statements, and you still refused to release my funds. A decentralized account doesn't have an id requirement and therefore if you have a restriction on receiving money from a decentralized account, you should have clearly stated that. If you can seize funds from all transactions received from a decentralized account then you can suspended and seize alot of your customers funds and I am sure the law was not created to attact people who use a decentralized account such as Trust wallet. My $9,000 is for my mother's surgery please return my funds. I will write every law enforcement agency until I die to get my money back to save my mother. This is a scam that needs to be stopped. If this is not a scam why do you informed your customers that you don't have a time frame on your KYC investigation, you are investigation 9k not 9 million dollars. You have verify the source which is my relatives. My source of income is way over 9k so the investigation shouldn't be that complex. Please return my money cex.io. my mother is sick.

Have only gotten the same response. Have patience we are investigating. My mother is dying while you are doing your investigation. Give me back my money. I will happily withdraw my funds. How long to investigate 2 transactions, one 5k the other for 4k. This is a simple investigation. 2 weeks to check the source of 2 small transactions from my family member. The New York state attorney General said I should continue writing you and send them all of your response. This has to be scam, why not return my funds since I don't meet your company strict KYC policies. Hopefully my next update will be a positive one for me and my mother.

It has been 18 days since this review started. I have answered a few questions the FBI has asked me and I have sent them the transaction id number of the transaction. No positive response as to the completion of this KYC investigation. I believe this is a delay tactics to discourage individuals who have in trusted their money to abandon it. They are a scam. KYC is the excuse to hold and seize or steal your funds. You may not be in America doing this scam but the law will catch you and your workers eventually. Please return my 9600k.

I was just informed by cex.io that my withdrawal of my crypto currency has been restored and all other features are still on hold until I fulfill some requirements of source of funds. I have no problem with doing so. However I am still unable to withdraw my funds because the function that they said was restored is still not working. I am hoping to share some positive news soon when they resolve this issue. Stay tune.

FINALLY GOT MY FUNDS BACK. I must apologize to cex.io. I guess they are very serious when it comes to KYC and SOF. I it was a long wait however the issues were resolved. They are not a scam but I thought they were by the actions of freezing my account after I supplied the requested documents. Glad all my documents checked out. SCAM application

Fake application, Fake people!! They promised they will Launch their native token on their platform to millions of people and asked them to complete so many tasks and watch YouTube and in the end they just removed the project from their application overnight without telling people. In the name of airdrop they just rugged people with their hard work and emotions. Most worse application I have ever seen. Not at all reliable

This company is the worst
They are saying it's my card that won't work but it's the same card I used to fund the account I the first place. I don't know why they can't just send it back. This is one of the reasons I hate these crypto sites.

Can't withdrawal crypto - only fiat

My biggest beef with this exchange is the inability to move crypto, as crypto, out of the exchange. The only way to get crypto out is to convert it to fiat (which is expensive!). No other exchange I've ever worked with has this severe limitation/oversight. Just remember, an exchange wallet is NOT your wallet! When exchanges shut down, they legally steal any and all crypto in your account. Exchanges that forbid crypto transfers are worthless (especially if they don't carry a new crypto that you might be interested). Paying 5% (plus other fees) to convert to fiat, then back again at another exchange, can easily gobble up 10-15% of your earnings!
My other beef is security. For some reason, if I close my browser, reboot the machine, then open again, I'm automatically logged back into the exchange! 2FA is setup. There's no excuse for such terrible security!
