I use Change Now frequently. It is simple to use and very reliable.

Changenow.io has frozen 30,000$ worth of Ethereum after I used their service back in the 31st march of 2026. Until today, the "help" they have provided is vague explanations on some "ongoing investigation" where they try and determine source of funds... of an on-chain service. They are thieves, follow along below to get the full picture. I can provide FURTHER EVIDENCE, ALL THE EVIDENCE NEEDED to prove that this is an attempt at an unlawful seizure of money I worked my entire life for.

Their first reply to me was that my exchange was "flagged" by their "automated risk mitigation system", Strange. They asked me to perform a KYC via their partner sumsub, and provide a SoF (source of funds), which i provided alongside concrete evidence that the full amount was from exchanges and on-chain addresses that belonged to me.

I then had to make an account on their support platform which by the way is absolutely TERRIBLE to use, hostile user experience at its finest.

Despite me pointing out MANY times that I have ADHD alongside other handicaps, they kept asking for a precise money-trail which was essentially IMPOSSIBLE for me to provide, it was becoming increasingly evident to me that they were stalling. After 5 days worth of back and forth, and having to wait for vague AI-like replies, it had become obvious to me that something was extremely wrong. I thought I was on the wrong site, which I double checked.

To make it short, they have since been delaying and denying every request of a refund under the excuse that an internal investigation within them is going on. EVERY SINGLE ATTEMPT I HAVE MADE TO GET PRECISE INFORMATION IN REGARDS TO THE NATURE OF THE INVESTIGATION, THEY REPLY WITH VAGUE, INCOHERENT NONSENSE.

THIS SITE HAS CHANGED MY LIFE FOR THE WORST, THEY HAVE FROZEN MONEY WHICH HAD BEEN PROVEN TO BE FROM HARD WORK ON NO GROUNDS. FLEE FROM THIS WEBSITE!

Me: "No offense at all but this does not take 2 months, all of the information is on-chain, plus i provided you guys with enough information to prove that I am the rightful owner of all the addresses & exchanges involved."

Me: "And I am asking for a rough ETA, how long do procedures like this one usually take at ChangeNOW? How long until I get refunded MY money? Like I do not understand why you guys are trying to make it sound like some complex obscure operation is ongoing. You asked for evidence of ownership, a SoF, and I provided everything. I have complied with your ToS, it is time for you to please comply with yours and stop holding my funds hostage. This is absolutely ridiculous. You guys do NOT understand the frustration and nightmare you are causing me for seemingly no reason, do not pretend that you do. This is literal theft, this is genuinely sickening and I have been living the roughest moments of my life because you guys are making up excuses to stall this. This is inhumane."

This service has ruined my life, and even though this may fall under legal regulations, they have done absolutely nothing to help ease my anxiety. This was everything I had, and all I've been getting are AI replies from someone who is paid to pretend they are trying to help me. Genuine Nightmare. Thank you, changenow.

I deeply regret trusting ChangeNOW with my funds.

Before this incident, I had used ChangeNOW multiple times without problems, although all my previous transactions were under $1,000. The moment I made a larger transaction, my funds were suddenly frozen.

They forced me to complete KYC verification in order to supposedly return my funds. I cooperated fully. Then they repeatedly requested additional documents and proof of source of funds. Every single time, I provided everything they asked for.

After complying with all their requirements, the responses eventually turned into the same copy-paste message for more than a year:

“We have no updates. The investigation is ongoing.”

No timeline. No transparency. No accountability.

At the time my funds were frozen, the value was approximately $16,000. Due to the market decline and the endless delays caused by ChangeNOW, the value has now dropped to around $6,000 — and they are STILL holding my funds.

What makes this even more disappointing is that I trusted this platform because of its positive Trustpilot reputation. Otherwise, I would never have trusted an offshore crypto platform with such a large amount.

I have kept all emails, documents, verification records, and conversations with the ChangeNOW support team and I am fully prepared to publish them publicly if necessary.

My experience with ChangeNOW has been extremely stressful, financially damaging, and completely unacceptable. I strongly advise users to think carefully before trusting this platform with significant amounts of money.
