An excellent service from Chapter Law who worked diligently to progress our house sale despite delays further down the chain. Sahlia Ali was a pleasure to work with and I would recommend using Chapter Law when selling your property.

5* rating is specifically for Sahlia Ali who is a real asset for Chapter Law.
We were recommended Chapter Law by AP Morgan and wouldn't say there are any differentiators between them or any other conveyancer. However, Sahlia made this a lot easier even though she was only looking after the sale of our property, whereas the the lady managing our purchase was slow, needed constant chasing and communication was poor from the moment she got involved (even the receptionists knew what property i was calling about given the amount of chasers). Thankfully, we managed to get exchange and completion done on the same day, but this would not have happened if Sahlia wasn't fighting our corner and going above and beyond to get things moving and sorted. In addition a shout out to Charlotte Bull, was clear to me in a 10 min conversation with this lady, she was on the ball, succinct and provided a calm clear view of options & more importantly did exactly what she said she would do - thank you!

Chapter Law have made the process of selling so easy. The online access was simple, contact with the conveyancer was regular and timely and Sahlia Ali, has been a pleasure to work with. Sahlia provided a professional, friendly and efficient service, which I am grateful for. Thank you

I give Beth Hodson 5 stars. She was excellent. Had it not been for her I think I would have broken during this whole process. Chapter Law only gets 2 stars from us and that is only because of Beth.
We were recommended by A P Morgan to use Chapter Law and it made sense as our seller was using them too.
Beth dealt with our sale which was very smooth. A lady with the initials of JA dealt with our purchase. Not once did she reply to any of our emails or phone messages left. I only spoke to her twice in the whole process and that was only when I rang and they were able to put me through. We never met her.
My husband has early onset dementia so an already difficult process was made an awful lot worse by this sheer lack of communication. It also took much longer than needed.
I will be putting in a formal complaint.
But I don't want any of this to take away from Beth, she was amazing and 5 star any day. Thank you Beth.

Shocking experience as first time buyer from Carol at Chapter Law. Communication extremely poor and lack of action all the way through. Encouraged by estate agent to use Chapter Law as our seller was also using them. It was supposed to make communication easier - blood stone springs to mind !!

Kept me informed and advised on matters.
Also Charlotte ensured sale went through within time frame as it was a quick sale.

Asked for a quote for a property purchase. Quote never received, but received an email telling me I had instructed them and that I should make a £300 payment. A few weeks later I received a further email requesting the same thing again! I replied after the second email questioning why they were saying I had instructed them when I had not, but no answer received. My feedback would be that the quote system should be reviewed, as this is not a way to gain business - I did not even consider this company as a result. I was just after a quote, not to instruct anyone nor be chased for a payment.

Up until a few weeks ago, we have had a very positve experience with Chapter Law. Since October Beth Hodson has been efficient, helpful and provided excellent customer service, hence the 5 stars for her & her colleagues that we have dealt with. However, sadly, we have found after an excellent solicitor leaving, we have had a replacement who says she will do things by a said date & does not. Said she will get back to us by a said date and does not. Documents are being requested which have been sent months ago and when we send them, we receive no acknowledgment of receipt. Two days after sending I call to check receipt and she is unaware they have been emailed to her. We just hope Chapter Law can resume their previous all round good service as our confidence in them is rock bottom. Just waiting on acknowledgement of our complaint. Fingers crossed.

With a possible claim for property misrepresentation, I walked into the Pure Offices, serviced offices, Longbridge, & asked for Chapter Law. The person I met was incompetent & dishonest. I left my phone # in case they did have someone who knew what they were doing. I was later phoned & given more rubbish as to why they couldn't act. If they didn't want the Retainer, why not just say so?

15/1/25 I have been asked to give more detail. There isn't much more to add. The Chapter website says they deal with all aspects of property law. So I visited in person to make an appointment to see a lawyer for an initial consultation on misrepresentation. The girl to whom I spoke hadn't got a clue. She was also a liar. She tried to tell me they weren't lawyers & only conveyancers. I then showed her the above web page. Without apology, she then started to tell me I wasn't a client. I now got up to go & left my contact details, for which she didn't have pen / paper, & had to go to retrieve. I was later phoned by another incompetent, who says they aren't regulated for contentious work. That's rubbish. Thats 99% of what lawyers do. Clearly, they didn't want the Retainer. They should have said they didn't want the work. And now they're whinging to Trustpilot saying they want details & that I've got the wrong 'domain'. It's Chapter Law & they're incompetent.

We used Chapter Law to sell my parents property following bereavement. A difficult experience made easier by Charlotte Bull. She was supportive and understanding of the circumstances. We were informed throughout and she ensured the sale completed with no complications, she was prompt with communication and the online system worked out well with 3 executors. I have to be honest - when we first started the process with chapter law, the process wasn’t a quick as we hoped for. However, Charlotte Hatch took our case and was very informative throughout the entire process with detailed breakdowns at each stage of what was happening (in and out of her control) and why to clearly manage our expectations. There are stages of any buying process that can become painstaking but she ensured we knew any changes or updates and informed of clear escalations and efforts she made to ease things along. Thank you Charlotte for you hard work. I know your line of work is not easy - and we both appreciate your work and support.
