STAY AWAY From Indigo’s Online Purchasing

I haven’t received a puzzle I ordered online from Indigo on March 28/22. Apparently, it is lost in transit according to Customer Service at Indigo. The shipping company, Apple Express, has not updated the parcel’s shipping status since March 29/22. I discovered all of this on April 6. The parcel was due to arrive on or before April 5. I requested a refund. I am very disappointed because I had planned to give this puzzle as a gift this week. I had to do all the leg work to contact Indigo. I did not receive any correspondence from them indicating my parcel was lost.

So I ended up ordering the same puzzle from Amazon and received it in less than 24 hours, not super happy I had to buy from the “Bezos Boutique”, but I need the puzzle this week. I am quite appalled with Indigo’s online ordering/shipping, especially with the high tech business systems available to companies today. They just can’t compete given their poor level of customer care.

So the puzzle is lost and I can’t track it. To add insult to injury, Indigo also lost my last order, a number of books that I had intended to give as Christmas gifts. It was too late to reorder with Indigo so the books would arrive for Christmas. Again, I ordered all of those books from Amazon and they arrived within 3 days.

With this latest debacle, I requested that the Indigo Customer Service agent share my concerns with her manager. I expressed that this was not the Customer Service agent’s fault, but that Indigo clearly has a problem. I won’t be ordering online from them again nor shopping in their bricks-and-mortar stores. For in-person shopping, I will visit independent book sellers in my area.

I requested a refund of the full amount I paid, including tax, for this puzzle. Shipping had been free. Indigo returned my email asking for refund and gave me two options:

1. I was not interested in their first option of having the refund placed in an online account to be used for future purchases. Since I am not planning to shop online with Indigo ever again, I will not use these funds.

2. I chose option 2 of having the refund returned to my credit card. However, I had three concerns about their directions to make this happen. First they said they would apply ”the difference” to my credit card. There should be no difference. I am expecting the full amount of $23.99 plus tax to be refunded. As well, they also wanted me to supply “a new order number” that they would forward to the Billing Team to manually apply “the discount”. I didn’t understand their need for a new order number. I had my original order number and the shipping number, which I provided to them. Furthermore, I was not requesting a “discount”. I am expecting a full refund.

I asked them to return my full $23.99 plus tax ASAP. I requested a confirmation email that they received my email and that they were going to do as I had asked. Within the day, a kind Customer Service agent reached out by email. The refund was processed right away and I will receive my refund in 2-5 business days.

I stress to anyone thinking of purchasing online with Indigo that if anything goes wrong with their order, they will very likely have to do all the chasing to sort out the issue. I have spent way too much time dealing with this. Fortunately, I was satisfied in the end by the gracious and competent agent who worked promptly to facilitate my refund.

Exceptional Customer Service

I recently ordered some gifts online and when I received the shipping information I noticed it had my old address.
I quickly contacted customer service and they were amazing!
They cannot redirect the shipment but they have resent another package to me, at the correct address.
This was 100% my fault for not checking the shipping address when I processed the order.
They were understanding, kind and efficient.
Exceptional service!

Horrible!

Horrible!! My daughter ordered a mini fridge and it never came. I called to ask where it was and the guy, Jonah on the phone was incredibly incompetent and not helpful in the least.👎🏽

Absolute scam.

Absolute scam.
So I preordered a book to Australia late Jan - Early Feb. It was about $98AUD ? Which I didn't mind too much, I knew it'd be costly. Had an issue where they overcharged me though, it was supposed to be $91 instead. They offered a refund and never gave it. Was just a few dollars what harm could it do? About maybe a week or so later, I get a bank notification, telling me that chapters Indigo just took put $89 ?!?! I was NOT made aware of this and I did NOT authorise the payment. I asked customer service and they told me it's "just a bit extra incase shipping costed more".
IMAGINE shopping at a small business and suddenly getting over $80 taken out without consent or authorisation ?!? That would be horrifying. It's no different for scary companies.
I spoke to Commbank who were amazing and helped me out SO much, they got me my money back and all.

Indigo is downright ridiculous. Shop somewhere else

You probably won't get what you order, and the customer service is ridiculously bad

Never, ever, ever will I again use their online ordering system. The first order that they screwed up was a birthday present that I pre-ordered and that just never got fulfilled. When I contacted them, I got a sorry and that was the end of it. I got a refund, but by now, it was three weeks past the intended recipient's birthday. Fool me once. . . for some insane reason I tried to order a different book for a different friend's birthday. Ordered on Jan 24, said the book would be shipped to the story by Jan 27. Here we are on Jan 31 with no status updates. I talked to customer service who just said repeatedly, "I am seeing where the item was lost in transit" over and over again. I got a refund. No apology. Never, again. Do not order from them.

I ordered a book online and received an…shipement confirmation and shipment tracking number that their partner "ShipTrack" reports that the tracking number doesn't exist.

I ordered a book online and received an email today confirming the order has shipped and a link to visit and get the shipping status. I went to "ShipTrack" and was told that my tracking number (Which you provided) didn't exist. I then tried to enter my Indigo order number and ended back up at the unimpressive "Ship Track" website and was told again that my tracking number didn't exist. I found that it was impossible to actually reach someone at Indigo about my experience. With this type of order tracking sysystem.....I will attempt to shop at places other than Indigo in the future. Little to no respect for their customers and they make it impossible to actually reach them to resolve an issue.

They use sketchy shipping companies, who do not check ID for anyone who wants to steal peoples packages. I called the shipping company, they said it was mislabelled by indigo. I am a broke college student and indigo is disgusting for robbing so many people. My package was stolen by someone at one of the shipping points (which should not be possible) and I was told it was "out for delivery". When I called indigo customer service, they told me that 2/4 out of my items were now out of stock. I was hoping to get a reshipment, but they do not care about their online customers whatsoever. Cutomer service representative was also constantly mumbling and I could barely understand what he was saying and be refused to annunciate. Garbage customer service, garbage company. Order from literally anywhere else.

Dreadful!

I’ve placed two separate orders online at separate times both to be delivered to UK. Both times I was sent an email 2-3 days after placing the order cancelling it saying items were “unavailable”. Both times I contacted customer service who said items were available and they have no idea why orders have been cancelled. Have completely given up on this company now - just amazed the business is still standing if this is how they “trade”. Shop elsewhere if possible is my advice re. Chapters Indigo.

Don't order online.

The service I received from Indigo recently is absolutely ridiculous. I waited more than 5 months for a single book to arrive. Upon calling customer service asking if it would ever arrive, they assured me it was just backordered (for 5 months?) and that I would receive an email with a new shipping date. This never happened. They essentially robbed me and then lied about it. Unbelievable conduct.

Ordered 2 books Nov 17. Today Dec 19, over a moth 6 days before Christmas they advise not available.
Complete failure of service.
Unreliable.

Not putting 1 star because I have to wait until the 16 and see if they indeed send my gift e-card to my Secret Santa , and also notify me of it. But I wouldn't recommend this company.
I purchased an e-card back on 12/05/2021. I explicitly selected the electronic e-card option, as this is a work Secret Santa and I work in a completely different country than my peers. I received an email from them saying I would be notified of any changes in my order, including when it shipped, etc. Today I checked the email and just found out that for some reason the order was set to ship to my physical address (something they ask for some reason, even though I select the electronic option) and not to the email address of my Secret Santa.

So I contacted their chat customer support to see if I could cancel, or see if they could rectify given that I had selected a different option. Their service is kind of rude and dry and they don't seem to want to help anyhow. They just repeat things like 'we can't cancel an order that was shipped', 'the order has shipped' etc, letting you know nothing can be done. I had to insist and even send the rep a screenshot showing her that their UX is pretty confusing then, because they clearly offer the electronic gift card option, but somehow they end up doing what they want.

She ultimately looked further and assured me that I would receive an 'activation email' by the 16. I had to ask her what does that mean, if my Secret Santa will receive the card on her email or if I am receiving it as well. Her reply was"The person will receive the email" and when I told her I would save a copy of this chat, she simply replied 'ok' with no other reply back or attempt to be courteous of helpful. So I am waiting, and hopefully my friend will receive her card but I am not wanting to deal with this company anymore.

Online purchasing is terrible

Online purchasing is terrible. Delivery dates are all over the place: one book takes 5 days, another takes 30, but if you use a different address (same community) this info changes. Shipping is sometimes free, even for orders under $35, but no explanation is given, and shipping amounts are different depending on the book. Even when a book is at the store, it can take up to two weeks before you can pick it up. I can't believe how poorly this system works considering this is 2021.

Do not use Indigo shipping...

Indigo, if you don't have proper packaging for vinyl records then don't sell them online.
I bought a vinyl record along with couple of books online. When I received the package I immediately saw that packing was done with box that will not fit 12-13' record, and of course once the box was opened the sleeve of the record was bent badly. Your packaging just ruined and erased value of the record.
I could've attribute the packaging to lack of planning within Indigo shipping business but more to that is that even the employee who's done the packing was careless and put remaining items in box loosely.
As result, experience with Indigo is unpleasant and I'll avoid buying from them online.

Very Disappointed

I was really upset to heard that my advent calendar was broken and Indigo nor the delivery company notified me. After waiting a couple of days, I decided to check where my item was because Indigo sent me an email saying my item was out for delivery but never got here... Went I checked the status of my parcel it said that my item had been damaged and was being sent back to the sender.

I called Indigo because the didn't notify me and they promise they would send me another and they would scalated so I'd get my parcel much faster since it was already late.

2 days later I'm still waiting and I never got an email confirming the scalation, so I called again only to be told that indigo lied to me and never scalated my item, so I don't know when I'm going to get or if I will be getting it. The second agent I spoke with didn't offer me much options only than to wait because if I scalated now, it'd be too late and I'd only be getting it at the same time as if I didn't scalated. I'm quite upset to know that there's nothing to do and that at this point, because I've been lied to, I'm not even sure that I'll be getting my item and I'm going to have to call them again and this has just become a whole nightmare. I will not purchase online items from indigo no more.

I'm really dessapoinmet in knowing that Indigo lied to me and they are making this online purchase so difficult. This item is very important to me and I'd have expected that Indigo would treat their customers better.

Don't order online unless you don't actually want your order.

The only reason there's an additional star is for their customer service team on the website. The agents I spoke with were helpful and prompt. My main issue is their choice of shipping service, FleetOptics Inc. Absolutely terrible. If there's something that's online only from Indigo, assume you're not getting it.

6 days to attempt to checkout

6 days to attempt to checkout 2 small items. Pin on gift card not readable. Finally after calls, emails, the amount is applied to my account.
No credit applied after 4 attempts at the point of checkout. Chat bot suggests I check balance, review items for other shopping suggestions and increasingly irrelevant responses.
Live agent requests I go through the process yet again and this time provide screenshots. I do this and my reply could not be delivered to the only email she provided. A no reply email? An email that will not accept screenshots?
Call again and the agent couldn’t resolve the issue, I removed item she couldn’t find, 🙄 tried again and again only an error suggesting I call. Requested to speak to a manager and she had no way to facilitate that contact.
Unless your have endless time to kill do not use Indigo.

Made an order online and got…

Made an order online and got confirmation on it right away, as well as a link to track shipping, saying that "Order has fully shipped". I checked the link four days later and it turns out the courier never received the item.

Contacted customer service (which takes really long to respond btw) and they offered to fully replace the items. Got an order confirmation right away, but never received the email containing details on shipping as they promised. Checking in with customer service again but if this fails I'm getting a full refund. Absolute waste of time. Don't bother online shopping with them.
