Horrible shipping

Ordered a vinyl from their website. First time it was delivered, package was just an empty open box. I called their customer service line and they sent me a replacement. My tracking number said it was delivered but there is no package to be seen. Ended up getting a refund. Literally buy your books/vinyls/whatever you buy from anywhere BUT here.

I wanted to write an update on my below review. After going through everything with customer service and being told my items were lost in transit and they would refund me my money...my order arrived the very next day. I contacted customer service to let them know I received my order and to stop the refund. (I was a bit bummed that I had already purchased a second lunchbox to replace the "lost" one. So I would be out money) Customer service completely understood and let me keep the refund due to the issues that arose. I have always liked Indigo and this was my first time using the online store. There are some kinks that they need to work on between their online store and their delivery service company. BUT that being said the customer service was great. Polite, quick to respond and friendly. I am satisfied with the outcome.

They stole money from my account

They stole money from my account. Two random charges for things I didn't buy or receive. This happened around the same time that I purchased things from them which I did receive. When I called them to question the charges they told me that I wasn't the first person that this happened to. They actually told me they were putting me on a list for people who experienced this. This was months ago. Still no reimbursement.

I have recently ordered some book on…

I have recently ordered some book on the website and i have to say I have not been impressed. I ordered Dick Van Dyck: My Lucky Life in and out of showbusiness and it was an online only book. I received it today and the book was extremely dirty it took two wet wipes to clean it up then a few months back I had went in to a store and purchased The Sanitorium and when i got to one of the chapters one of the pages was ripped out. I can understand that when books come in to the stores they cannot possible go through every book and make sure that they are in pristine condition that is what customers are for but I cannot understand that when you make an order online and have it sent there is a person in a warehouse putting the package together and they should have notice big black marks all over the book. This is upsetting for one of two reasons. Number 1, I like my books in excellent condition as I like to display them after i am finished and secondly when you are paying 20 dollars for a few sheets paper and i was not even able to go into the store as it was an online only book the book in question or any book for that matter that is just being picked up by a factory worker and put in the mail she be in proper condition. I have two more books on the way one of them being a mostly white background cover, I hope I don't have to go through this again. For members of staff that put together orders, please be a little more mindful with the shape and condition of your products.

Human rights violators

Human rights violators. I was treated like trash because I have a mask exemption and they do not honour exemption because they have a God complex. Despicable company.

They Sell Your Info

Because I enjoy browsing bookstores when not in a pandemic, I wanted to buy my books from Indigo instead of Amazon - so that the store would be there after the pandemic. The books I purchased were a bit more expensive, and took much longer to receive, but I was fine with that if it meant we get to have a brick & mortar store once Covid is behind us.
What I was not expecting was the barrage of emails and Spam I would be receiving from Indigo after my purchase. Multiple unsolicited emails every day, and my email has definitely been shared with other vendors/ advertising companies, as the amount of spam I've been receiving ever since from vendors that never before had my email is ridiculous. I'm unfortunately never going to do business with this company again, Amazon wins.

I ordered my purchase online about 2…

I ordered my purchase online about 2 weeks ago. I had been patiently waiting for my order. No follow up emails, tracking system was unavailable. Called customer service 3 times. To eventually find out my product was lost during shipping.

Customer service has been reluctant to allow for me to speak to a supervisor. Thankfully I was able to get money back? We will see if that's true in the coming days.

I enjoy shopping at Indigo

I enjoy shopping at Indigo. But due to covid, I tried ordering online for the 1st time. I usually order thru Amazon. But this is my first online indigo order. What a huge mistake. I will never shop at Indigo again. Your delivery service, Apple Express is the worst. I got an email saying that there was no answer in the apartment so it was dropped off for pick up. My condo has a 24/7 concierge who receives all deliveries. Your delivery partner is lying and I don't think the driver made any attempt to deliver at all. When I went to the pickup location, it was in a convenience store. Why would Indigo arrange with a delivery company who drops off undelivered items to a convenient store. The convenient store was dark, small and did not have the space to store packages. And they have lots of undelivered Indigo packages there. So, it appears that your delivery partner would deliver it at a convenience store, not at customer address. I like shopping at Indigo because I like the store, it's clean and I feel safe in the store. But if you're going to ask me to pick up my items at a convenient store because your delivery is not reliable I will never ever shop at Indigo again.

I wish I would have come here and check…

I wish I would have come here and check review before buy from Indigo, such a worse customer service. I have ordered online and it did not arrive on expected date; then I call them to know what has happened? Customer service doesn't know the reason rather they can only send the item again and the way they behaved was rude, they should have apologized for the incident happened. It's super bad customer service.

Slow-to-update system - Customer Service does not listen

Bought an item that I later found out wasn't in stock and my purchase was in limbo. I cancelled it and spent my money on something else but the cancellation didn't go through and the item came.

Trying to use their Live Agent chat option doesn't feel like you're talking to a human and don't bother trying to see if it's a human on the other end actually reading what your typing, when customer service got back to me regarding my cancellation, they chastised me for referring to their Live Agents as bots. Here's a snippet.

"Some agents may use a few pre-written responses so they don't have to spend time typing up a response, but those are real people who would've been more than happy to assist you if you actually explained your problem, instead of doing "human verification tests or speaking at them in Punjabi."

Customers are not worth typing a response for? And if you had time to go back and read what I wrote, why didn't you do that during the Live Chat, giving customers the reassurance that there was a human on the other end actually listening to them? In the end I was so fed up with the scripted responses that I used Punjabi thinking it'd be easier for them.

Unreliable online website

Their online site is not up-to-date with inventory. High chance they will cancel your order. Better to shop from Amazon that has a better online e-commerce system.

Careless shipping

I have a PO Box for safe delivery. No where on indigo site does it say they do not deliver to PO Box. They ship by a 1* shipper who returns the package to them. Waste of my time. It is easy to add to the on line order form "WE DO NOT SHIP TO PO BOX". Amazon has that on some items and It is up to me whether I will risk porch pirates or find a seller who will use Canada Post.

down hill fast

The last three orders I've placed for books over the last year have had books either wait weeks to be shipped, not get shipped at all, or I've had the wrong book arrive. customer service/support is completely useless and either doesn't respond or "abrupt" in their response.

Ignored by customer service after they cancelled my order

I ordered 3 random kids books for a 3 for 20 bundle and received 2/3 the next day. The third one was expected to arrive last week and never did. When I checked on its status it said "cancelled". I email support only to have my email ignored. Followed up the next day and was ignored again. Tried to chat with an agent and was told by robot that they line is too long. I requested to get a phone call and I never got one. I finally got in touch with a human representative several days later only to be told that they would not send me a replacement or issue a refund. I was dumbfounded. I guess I'll just give my money to daddy Bezos next time instead of trying to support a Canadian company.
