Chapter Two managed to refinance and combine our multiple debts into one manageable mortgage payment per month and it has totally changed our lives. I rarely do reviews and this one is the first one that I have done that is in depth, but my gratitude to Praveena from Chapter Two warrants this review.

I have been drowning in credit card / loan debt for nearly 10 years. The monthly repayments were equating to over double my mortgage. I had tried to applying to increase my mortgage several times, all were denied though they were happy to give me a personal loan to consolidate but the interest rates were higher than the cards themselves. In 2016 I called a debt consolidation specialist and their best answer was for me to go bankrupt, find enough money for my wife to buy me out of the house and pay 80% of what I was paying monthly for 3 years. I declined their suggestion and they said they will call me again in 2 years when I am still in the same position, which I was, but the thought of bankruptcy was still too much so we continued to battle the debt. In 2018 I decided to go with the debt consolidation loan as we were getting nowhere with lowering the debt, the interest rate was higher but we could not reborrow against the debt. However, I could only get a loan to cover 40% of the debt.
At the beginning of 2020, with the cards again maxed out, I recalculated everything down to the most smallest expense to try and see what it would take to ensure that we did not have to use them and cut them up (like we had done half a dozen times before), to my surprise I could not afford to pay them with out reborrowing from them at some point and my calculations showed that they would remain maxed out. Over the coming months after this lead to depression and self-hatred.
I had finally had enough. I work hard and long hours and it was time to accept the fact that I would have to go bankrupt. Thankfully whilst searching online I was able to find Chapter Two who specialize in informal agreements, not insolvency or bankruptcy.
I originally discussed my position with Chris and he sent me an agreement which outlined the costs based on outcomes and I accepted the agreement.
Praveena handled my case and I supplied her all the details that were required. I followed Praveena's advice and I did not receive any calls from creditors through the whole process.
The results take time and you need to be patient, Praveena knows what to do and will contact you when there is news. I am sure that many others like myself at first thought it was taking to long and would email for an update, but it is important to realize that they are busy fighting for you and others and sending emails to them for reassurance only hinders their already busy schedule.
The whole process took around 9 – 10 months, now all this overwhelming debt is at 0% interest rate, with monthly repayments that overall are less than half that I was paying before. I can now finally afford to pay these debts and live at the same time without constantly being suppressed by the burden of paying these debts.
I cannot express my gratitude enough for what Praveena from Chapter Two has done for me and I honestly do not know where I would be right now if I did not contact Chapter Two.
Seriously if after reading my situation you still have doubts about calling Chapter Two then there is no convincing you. Pick up the phone and call them, take the plunge, stop the debt from crushing you.

Chris and Peter from Chapter Two were able to assist us to refinance our mortgage and settle our credit card debts. The settlement of the debts has greatly helped us to regain some control over our finances and provide a solution to the crippling interest rates that credit cards charge.
The process was fairly straightforward, but some time and information gathering was required. However, the end result was more than worth it.

Terrible customer service,
Were quick to take funds from my account. when ever i called the office and asked to speak with Chris he was never available or not in the office.
I asked for him to call me back any time. and the best response i could get was an Email sent the next day, asking what time is suitable to call. (Seriously)?????

Chris never got back to me with any progression plans or suggestions on a course of action. He advised i stop payments to my creditors as the would deal with them.

For 4 months they direct debited my account weekly.
I decided to block the direct debits, from June 3rd to Aug 10th.
I received 3 email per week regarding failed payment and stating they will try again. this Clown has done nothing but put me further into arrears.
Still.......NOT ONE PHONE CALL.
This Clown has NO IDEA.
