Great for upsells, security deposits and online check-in

I use ChargeAutomation for upselling, security deposits, online check-in and guidebooks. With the money generated by upsells, the tool actually pays for itself. Security deposits are collected and released automatically. I use their guidebooks to share access instructions and they are so smart that they are only shown to guests who did the check-in and paid the deposit.
It's a great tool that saves my team a lot of time and energy which in the end equals money.
Their support team is great too.

I have been using ChargeAutomation since it first came out.

I have been using ChargeAutomation since it became publicly available, and have been impressed with the growth and development of this platform. It has gone from a platform that was clearly in its infancy, to a robust, well developed, reliable means of managing the guest journey.

It’s not just about payment processing and security deposit collection.

Guest guidebooks with smart logic for when the content becomes available.

Add-on service management that can also be intelligently controlled.

The development team seems to be continually looking to improve not only the administrative side of the platform, but also the guest facing side. I’m looking forward to see what new feature comes out next.

VERY Disappointing | support is non-existing

service has been very disappointing, the product itself sounds very promising, and like a great asset to any business but it falls short on so many of its promises
support is very incapable of fixing many of the issues that appear, taking months to fix essential features, product was purchased 7 months ago, and we are yet to get fully installed (and those being 7 paid months) it is quite unacceptable sadly
We were quite exited about using it in our business but we are with very low expectations of it working out by this point
before signing they promised full integration with our pms and automated charges with all OTAs, 2 of the main reasons we chose charge automation, aswell as pre check in form (which we haven't even been able to test since the connection is still in progress), and now pms is barely supported and charges are not as automated since they require manual entry from staff or the guest to have to place payment information for a second time after booking and expedia is not possible to be charged at all

Disappointing at best.

As an owner of Popcorn Hostel in…

As an owner of Popcorn Hostel in Bucharest, I can say this app is the best tool that I found on the internet. It helps me a lot! With the help of this app, I can have self-check-in without hassle. It does everything, including payments (very safe), passport upload, selfie, upselling, acknowledgment of the rules, and the guest safety sign. I use Beds24 integrated with TTLock and ChargeAutomation. chargeautomation.

Seamless, excellent customer service!

Seamless, takes away a lot of the back and forth I had to deal with when processing credit cards and verifying ID. Highly recommended!

Great tool for hosts

We use ChargeAutomation to collect security deposits, rental agreements, and some payments from guests when they book on various platforms. It's very nice to have a unified and automated system to handle this and allow guests to self service. After they complete their info they have access to our guidebook and keycode as well.

In addition I would like to mention that ChargeAutomation support is pretty great. While the software is still maturing, the support team is quick to address issues and get fixes in from their dev team.

ChargeAutomation is a great software

ChargeAutomation is a great software. I didn't know what it was when I first got the link but it really helped me get quick access to the door code and pay my security deposit. I didnt have to keep messaging the Booking.com host to get details. It was all right there in the guidebook. Pretty cool tool. Id definitely recommend

As a host I wanted something to help me…

As a host I wanted something to help me collect security deposits and payments. Other tools claimed they did it with Chargeback protection but the only one that truly did it was ChargeAutomation. It sends a code to my guests and then liability shifts from me. Since then my chargebacks went down to 0. Definitely recommended for any host that wants to prevent chargebacks

Simple and smooth user experience

I recently had to use ChargeAutomation for my business booking in Italy. It was very easy and smooth. I checked in, paid a security deposit, booked early check-in and received my access instructions - all via the same link. Very cool tool. Totally recommended

Not recommended for guests

Unfortunately, I would not recommend guests to use the services offered by Chargeautomation. Since the data exchanged between the host and the guests are own by the hosts only and not Chargeautomation, it is very easy for a host to remove all the information incriminating them in case of conflict with the guests, without Chargeautomation being able to help. This puts the guests at a huge disadvantage, without any recourse to prove the host's wrongdoing.

That being said, I very much appreciated the disponibility and implication of the team when I raised the issue to them, following a bad experience with a host. But as of now, I don't believe Chargeautomation offers enough guarantees to guests to not being treated unfairly by hosts.

Very pleasant experience

I enjoyed using the Charge Automation software when I booked my rental on Booking.com. I really liked the fact that when I wanted to pay for the reservation it actually did something like an otp with my bank so it ensured it was me. Also it was very easy to see details from the host about the wifi and local restaurants in the area on the charge automation platform. Definitely good tool for the host.
