Zero morals. Zero truth.

When looking for a new car I came across some buyers experiences with Chariots and it needs calling out. I’m so glad I escaped them. I don’t know how these guys are in business. Or how they sleep at night. Read the reviews people, dig around and ask questions.
They’re selling dangerous cars all neatly packaged up in a beautiful box of lies to unsuspecting decent people.

When they get caught they react with more lies, fobbing off, rudeness and mocking behaviour towards the concerned parties.
They don’t even source genuine car parts, they come from places like eBay.

If you’ve recently bought a car from them or had one ‘repaired’ by them, please get a safety check done. Protect yourself and your loved ones.
Absolute cowboys.

BEWARE! They have no common decency and the practices of this dealership are very questionable.

My experience with this questionable facade of a "dealership " is somewhat extremely poor & i would not recommend it or.its services to anyone. I only wish my son had researched this garage before going there to purchase his first car. He has now been left in a legal nightmare as the Director Franco Santoro is avoiding my sons solicitor & finance company, even though the car has been parked in his secure lock up since June & my son is without a car. My son bought the Audi a3 s-line & it was on the assurance it had full Audi service history. He was told time & time again by Tom (sales advisor) that he was waiting for Audi to contact him back with the code for accessing the MMI system. The excuse was Audi weren't getting back to "them" and they were emailing them & calling but Audi weren't responding, but we would get the code as soon as!
Also the day my son collected the car it only had one key! I did question this but was told that's it! That's all it's got! What an attitude!! Customer service at
it's best.. The best was yet to come by far though. The car had a knocking noise coming from the steering and a noise from the engine on starting. He reported it to Chariots & spoke to both Ben & Tom about his concerns, this was 6/6/25. He'd only collected the car on the 20th May and these noises had been present from the start. Tom ( sales advisor) tried to tell him "it's probably had a new belt that's settling in, my Abarth did/does the same" (I cant recall if he said did or does). Anyway the car couldn't be booked in until the 19th June. Chariots were saying they were fully committed & my son had work commitments. The car was taken to chariots on the 19th for these problems to be investigated. That afternoon we receive a call to say unfortunately your car needs a NEW STEERING RACK, A NEW AUXILIARY BELT, A NEW REAR WIPER MOTER and it's all going to cost you... and that's where I stopped him . And said no way. My son has had this car a few days & it was supposed to have had an MOT with " yourselves " 3 weeks ago, how did it pass? Nick "service advisor " was very abrupt over the phone & said we had to pay. Went to chariots & refused to pay for the car & told them they could keep it. The following day we went with a rejection letter after being advised the car was unsafe with a steering rack needing replacement and making the noise it was. This was when Franco & Pete spoke with us and said they would like the opportunity to put things right as my son had the letter of rejection in his hand. They assured my son & myself that all parts being replaced in this vehicle were Audi genuine parts & i did tell them that my trust was broken and I would be taking this car to an audi dealership to be checked. They were in agreement. I told them " i did not take lightly that they were knowingly letting my son take an unsafe car & he was also picking up his sister in it too" Peter then mocked me by as "Is your daughter as precious?" HOW RUDE!
AS I TOLD HIM, BOTH MY CHILDREN ARE PRECIOUS.
A week later the car was supposed to be completed. We found it had needed.
1)A NEW STEERING RACK
2)AUXILIARY BELT
3) A TOP MOUNT
4)NEARSIDE FRONT SHOCK ABSORBER
5)NEW REAR WIPER MOTER. All on a car that had just past an MOT AT CHARIOTS A FEW DAYS BEFORE. Only had 31000 miles & cost over 17k. Wow what a deal. ROGUE TRADERS springs to mind.
Anyway that's not all, it gets worse!. Not an invoice/receipt or docket in sight for the work supposedly carried out on the car & they flatly refused to give us any, not even a report. The car was still making the same noise on collection & taken back to chariots two days later as it hadn't settled as Nick said it might. At this point my son went to the Audi dealership to try and get the code himself as he was seriously doubting all that Chariots had been telling him by this point. Audi were amazing. They accessed the system immediately and to our horror the car had no service history at all, nothing. The only thing showing was the day the car had been collected from the Audi dealership by it's original owner. Chariots had been stringing him along to get through the sale. I have no words for these people. We had at least 4/5 attempts at trying to retrieve some kind of report/ docket/receipt or invoice for the parts & work that had supposed to have been done on the car. Chariots, every time flatly refused, even trying to intimidate having five men stood arguing that i couldn't have reports on work we weren't paying for! It was my sons car they were supposed to be fixing!!!! These people will say anything to cover themselves. We finally got some copies of receipts that were parts from Ebay and NAPA. AND NOT A GENUINE AUDI PART IN SIGHT. AND NO RECEIPT FOR A NEW STEERING RACK. So i dont believe that was replaced & I did put that to the manager Pete. I just got stared at. They don't respond to calls, emails, the finance company who have escalated it and my solicitor.

Avoid Chariots at all costs

I purchased an Audi A3 on the 20/05/25 with only 31000 miles on the clock. This vehicle was supposed to be my pride and joy. However problems started the day of purchase as the car was making an odd knocking sound that was coming from the steering rack. I booked the car in with Chariots to find out the problem as at first I thought it was simply a minor issue. The car was then found by Chariots to need a complete steering rack replacement, auxiliary belt, top mount, near side front shock absorber and a rear wiper motor (NOT what I expected from a car I’d only had a few days and supposedly had an MOT on the day of collection as well as costing me over £17000!) at first I was told I was expected to pay for it all however, I flatly refused as I’d only had the car less than a month and the noises had been present from the beginning. The car had been booked in for the work on the 6th of June for the work to be carried out on the 19th of June (a few days after the purchase). I then spoke to Franco (MD) and Pete (GM) regarding this and told them I was rejecting the car and had the letter of rejection in hand ready, Franco told me in his words ‘’let us put this right’’ so I agreed and gave them the opportunity to rectify this problem at a cost to themselves, they assured me it would be Audi genuine parts and that they would sort it. The car was with them for a week and I got a phone call saying it was fixed and ready to go. I went to collect the car on the same day and I was advised when I arrived by Nick (Service advisor) to go out for a test drive alone in the car before taking it home. I found on the test drive the noise coming from the steering rack was still audible and not fixed so when I got back to the dealership I explained this to Nick and he told me to take the car home over the weekend and that ‘’it may need to settle’’ and if not to bring it back if the noise was still there on Monday. Safe to say the noise was still there on Monday so I took it straight back to Chariots and told them I was not happy and handed Nick the keys. At this point I was suspicious of the service history of the vehicle as I was assured multiple times that it was FULL Audi service history all the while waiting for Chariots to get me the code, beforehand they kept making excuses in regards to getting the ‘’code’’ needed to access the service history within the vehicles MMI system and telling me Audi wasn’t getting back to them. I decided to then take it upon myself to visit the Audi dealership and get this code for myself. I was shocked to find the car had NO service history at all! (the car was advertised as having FULL service history) The only history it had was the collection from the Audi dealership by the original owner. At this point the trust in Chariots had exhausted itself and I’ve also been told the vehicle has ‘’history’’ by the DVLA of no registered owner for over 6 months. I have now rejected the car and after various attempts to get invoices/receipts for the parts supposedly put into my car to support the rejection, I finally got them after multiple attempts of Chariots refusing to give me them and to my further shock after Chariots promising Audi genuine parts I find out they are not and that there is no invoice or record of the steering rack being changed. the dealership now will not acknowledge the finance company, myself or my solicitor. I only wish I’d read the reviews on multiple sites and done some research on this place as their practices are extremely questionable, Steer clear of this place.

Charlatan car sales more like

A charlatan and a liar.warrenty & promises not worth a thing. Take note of the other negative reviews they are very similar in explaining the lies told by this dealer & don't be fooled by reviews on their site as i was. Had a faulty range rover from day one ,they had it back after a while & apparently fixed it yet they hadn't. It took a further 4 months for them to take the car for repairs after many phone calls & lies just to kick the can down the road. They had the car a further 4 months consistently saying waiting for parts(even though jlr informed me the relevant parts needed only had a 2 to 3 day wait as all parts for that perticular car were in stock & giving false dates of the repairs being ready then one person contradicting what the other had said. They had no intention of repairing the car at all...Eventually rejected the car as the lies & false promises were rather cringeworthy.Range Rover ND66LHG if you see it for sale there don't touch it as it is a disaster & been messed about with too much (words from RAC inspector & independent landrover technician who did a full check on it). Disgusting behaviour & why BYD have got themselves involved with this shower i don't know.

Amazing!

I had a great experience at BYD Kettering. From the moment I arrived, the team was friendly, professional, and well-informed. A special thank you to Ben Bellamy, who was my salesperson. He was knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely helpful throughout the entire process.

Ben took the time to answer all my questions clearly, without any pressure. He made sure I understood all the features of the car and guided me smoothly through the purchase process. His attention to detail and customer care really stood out.

If you’re thinking about buying a BYD, I highly recommend visiting BYD Kettering and asking for Ben, although all the team are friendly and went out their way to talk to me or help!

Excellent service from start to finish!!

Customer First

I went to Chariots BYD on recommendation and was not disappointed. The original intention was to buy a second hand BMW until I saw the new BYD range, eventually deciding upon a BYD Seal U DMI.
From the first touch point with Tom to the final handover and handshake from the owner Franco I always felt that my requirements were foremost.
Special mention must go to Jess, Liam, Ben, Franco and of course Tom who all contributed along this process.
The key to their success and my satisfaction, in my opinion, is that they listened to what my needs and wants were, rather than selling me product they wished to push.
First class service and would definitely recommend BYD to anyone considering changing their vehicle.

We’re absolutely thrilled with our…

We’re absolutely thrilled with our recent purchase of the BYD Seal U from Chariots Car Specialists, now BYD Kettering. From our very first visit, Ben was fantastic—knowledgeable, approachable, and able to answer every question we had. He really made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. We were always offered a coffee (a lovely touch!) and kept regularly updated about our order, which we really appreciated.

Franco was also great and continued that high standard of customer service throughout. It’s been a genuinely positive experience from start to finish.

We’re now looking forward to driving our new car and, based on this experience, we’ll be sticking with BYD for the foreseeable future. Thanks again to the whole team!

They allowed me to test drive and even took time to show me the latest technology on the BYD Seal. Overall the customer service was truly outstanding.
