Very customer friendly and professional service.

We were very happy with the service received from Charlecote Estates (particularly given the current COVID-19 situation). The survey was completed and sent to us on the same day as the attendance on the property, and was preceded by a very helpful discussion with James Cleaver.

The house being surveyed was a 3 bed mid terraced house built in the 1980's.
James was thorough in his investigation, the report covers everything I expected and brings up some points I hadn't thought to check out for myself when viewing. The survey report is in a standard RICS Homebuyer format which is logical and easy to follow. I liked that the report even contains photographs and think this might be James' own doing.
I have not marked this as excellent just because we had some confusion in communication about the date and time for the survey. The estate agent and I were told different dates which made me feel unsure what was going on. It was all fine in the end, and thank you.

Well done , the survey was comprehensive, detailed and completed promptly, well before any time frame quoted by other surveyors, and even earlier than first arranged which was brilliant as we were short of time. The surveyor, Mr Cleaver, was helpful, friendly and professional . Thankyou once again to all concerned.

James, surveyor / Director of Charlecote Estates was conducting two Homebuyers Surveys and Valuation for us at the two flats where our offers for purchase had been accepted. He was responsive in arranging his visits to the two flats to match with our timeline for completion of the purchases. We correspond before his visits for spelling out our more specific needs for understanding the conditions of the flats as we are overseas buyers being unable to pay personal visits to the flats. Not only that James responded to these specific needs positively alongside with his other professional judgement on the current conditions of the flats, he took and send us videos for substantiating his views and ratings within his Reports. We were thus provided with real evidence for helping us decide the actions we should take during this purchase process of the flats. He also called proactively after his survey visits to discuss his findings and shared other professional opinions to substantiate his judgement to help us make our further decisions. His suggestions were vital for supporting our subsequent decision making. We are thus highly appreciative of the work that James did for us to help us understand better the conditions of the flats we are intending to buy. His professional and supportive approach will definitely be our choice for completing our next Homebuyers Survey and Valuation Report.
