I ordered work (plastic reinforced toes) trainers on 13th December, they have only replied to one email on 3rd January stating delivery would be in 4-5 days I have not heard from Charnwood or received trainers. Credit Card company now dealing with them and I have now bought trainers from another company at a cheaper price and were delivered in 4 days as they were needed for work
p.s the only way to contact this company is by email, which they have only replied to one, I have sent them 4

Ordered 2 Months + Ago, not shipped, impossible to get hold of them, don't reply to emails. Useless.

Ordered boots 8.01.24 told 3/5 days for delivery. Now the 17.01.24 no email regarding dispatch. Tried ringing phone but automated answer machine that hangs up on you. Tried emailing social media account to have reply saying my email address has been blocked! No way of getting in touch with anyone! Should of read reviews before

Ordered some boots on 7th December, still have not arrived (16th January) no one answers phone or emails, total scam!

Ordered some timberland work boots, received them ok, but after a month of wearing them they look like I’ve completed 128 ultra marathons, falling apart on all the sole. I pictures over on the 18th September and they was going to get it sorted, I’ve heard nothing since. I’m going there way next week so I’ll be calling in and throwing them straight at the managers head,

I ordered a pair of shoes before Christmas. Money taken, expected delivery date shown. No delivery, after raising a pay pal claim response was no stock left and no future plans to get stock. Offered alternative but rejected. If I hadn’t raised claim they would have kept silent. Now trying to get a refund. Not recommended.

Avoid these crooks, they leave you waiting weeks for your order to arrive and when you email them they take another week or so to respond. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS JOKE OF A COMPANY trading standards needs to intervene they’re criminals

Unfortunately I did not read any reviews on this company before ordering, that was my first mistake! I placed my order on 02/1/24 and they still haven’t arrived as of today 11/01/2024.

I have logged my complaint and cancellation with Klarna. When I was making the purchase, something told me to pay by instalments rather than outright

My second mistake was assuming they would be professional enough to answer the phone but they don't accept calls only webmail or email they don't answer these either

Summary: A professional looking website, a business run by scam artists.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS UNLESS YOU WANT RIPPING OFF...

I came to Charnwood because of my last experience with them, but this time is very different.

I went online, chose my new work boots, an exact replacement for the last pair that I had bought from Charnwood. Paid my money, paid for priority shipping and 3 WEEKS later, still nothing.

I was told they had some issues over the christmas period but not to worry because they had the boots in the size and colour I wanted so would ship them. 6 days later nothing.

So today I have requested that they cancel.

Do yourself a favour and buy from someone else, not worth the effort

Embarrassing that I didn't check this before making my order. Ordered my timberland boots on the 31st December and still haven't received them.

Cant believe I didn't check this first before ordering from this company. I paid for next day delivery and 3 days later they still haven't delivered.

Also I cannot get through to there phone and they don't respond to emails giving them 1 star is generous.

Do not use this company. It seems I have the same problem as everyone else. Items have not arrived and I can't get any response from their customer services. Three weeks and counting....

Placed an order for workshoes/boots/jacket and after numerous phone calls and emails items were received 5 weeks later. Was told that there had been a problem with their new ordering system. Jacket had to be returned and email received on 28th November saying it had been received by Charnwood. To date (January 9th) still waiting on refund to be processed. Unfortunately other half didn't check reviews before ordering.

Ordered boots 7th December 2023 and was under impression they would be delivered as stated 5days! When they didn’t turn up after 7 days I tried every means possible to make contact and had no reply or contact! Raised with PayPal and amazingly got a reply and a phone call telling me they would be delivered between Xmas and new year but again didn’t arrive! Raised again with PayPal on 2nd January 2024 and they was delivered on the 4th!!! But by a different company Gardiner group??
I would definitely not recommend and will definitely not be using them again!
Stick with screwfix or tool station etc. !!!

Same thing. Money has been taken but no delivery and can’t get hold of anyone 🤬🤬🤬🤬

Unfortunately as per all previous reviews...which I obviously didn't check before purchasing from this company (lesson learned!) I have not received the timberland work boots ordered on 09/12/23, and also NO contact from the customer service department, they do not answer the phone, or replied to my emails or online complaint form.
I have now raised a dispute via PayPal & hopefully get some sort of resolution.
**UPDATE**
Paypal contacted Charnwood & refund was processed within hours.
Same boots now bought on Sole Trader for a couple of pounds more, but free delivery 😊
Such a shame about this company, I assume their advertising worked a bit 'too well', but then unfortunately didn't have capacity to deliver the volumes ordered
.. either that or they are scamming & just hoping customers 'give up' and then keep their Money! 🤷🏻‍♀️

They use 5 day delivery promise to lure you in.

There is no way to speak to an actual human.

Have raised refund request with Paypal
