Ordered boots on 30 August with 3-5 days delivery. 2 weeks later, nothing delivered, no despatch notification, nothing. Emailed twice - no reply, phoned 4 times and received promise of a call back - nothing. Finally, after 5th phone call and threat of trading standards, the boots were sent. Avoid this company like the plague - the calls are answered by a call centre not connected with the company and the number supplied is not for customer service so you cannot speak to them directly. Do not order from Charnwood, go somewhere else!!!

Wish I’d have read the reviews. Paid for next day delivery for a >£100 pair of boots and still waiting a week later. 36hrs to get a call back from customer services (if they bother at all) and no reply to emails. Nobody can give me a straight or honest answer of when I will actually receive them.

Ordered my boots two weeks ago and have yet to receive them. I have phoned up and emailed three times to ask when they will be delivered. Got told on each occasion that "someone" will phone me back with a date for delivery but no one phoned. This is not acceptable. I want an ANSWER!!! WHERE ARE MY BOOTS!!!!

Agreed a return on a prompt delivery, now 6 emails and 3 calls, cannot talk to anyone, I am seriously considering visiting in person, I am not prepared to be messed about...I am disgusted with this treatment. Zero respect shown.

Absoulty disgusted with this company ordered 435 pounds worth of boots for my staff and no one cares or are willing to help i payed the extra for priorty delivery and still nothing lots of emails sent with no return lots of calls made still nothing if anyone is thinking of buying footware from these people avoid it at all costs useless unhelpful and non caring with the money you spend i have had nothing but good things to say about this company before now but sad to say myself and many others within my company will never use this company again it needs to be shut down which is sad to say in the current climate but i have no trust in them to offer the service they apprently pride themselves on even the customer service number is not customer service just a call centre who promises to have the issue investigated yet nothing comes of it avoid them at all costs fair warning given!!!!

Yes i did recieve it yesterday 8 days after the order was placed on a prority delivery 1-2 days tracking and after 15 calls and 4 emails yesterday i finally recieved a reply and a update that it was going to dpd and a email about your delays nithing beforehand making me aware of the issues

Great value Timberland boots. Arrived on Time. Very comfortable, bonus they sent free socks and safety glasses.

They didn't send me the item I bought, and ignored my emails.

So apparently I'm not the only one who ordered in august 2023, had money taken out of account, still not received my boots and no reply to emails and cant get my phone calls even answered. Absolute sh*te show

Ordered boots 26/08/23 still no boots, I’ve contacted them numerous times through phone call and email. Promised 24 hour tracked delivery, no delivery as of yet. Phoned again and told the same story that they will make a note and pass it on to head office. I wait with bated breath.

Very poor customer service.

On 4th Sept I received emailed saying "We have a small backlog because of the amount of orders"
It's now 11th Sept and im getting no reply to emails or phonecalls.
Payment has come out of account without receiveing boots!

Ordered a pair of Timberland boots but had to return them as they were far too big. Three months later and I’m still waiting for a refund. I’ve spoken to them several times and just get empty promises

I ordered a pair of boots over 2 weeks ago and still haven’t received any confirmation of shipping or the package. I have emailed and called 4 times now with no response or a promise to call back later which has never happened I’ve told them I need these soon and still nothing has been done I would really appreciate being able to talk to someone who can help. Incredibly frustrating

I ordered some Timberland safety boots last Monday (28 August) and still have not received a dispatch confirmation, nor the boots themselves. My emails have gone unanswered and I have yet to receive the callback I was promised two days ago after phoning them directly. Charnwood just don't seem interested in helping me receive the goods I have paid for.

I'm hoping this review will prompt some action or basic customer care on their part, as their delivery time-frame of 3-5 business days has now passed by some time.

Please, respond to your customers. If I don't hear from you or receive the goods,I will have no choice but to open a Section 75 charge-back through my bank.

Joke of a place. Quick to take your money but can't be arsed sending paid goods out and can't be arsed replying to emails. Don't waste your time or money. If you want boots within timescales they state go elsewhere. Ordered 18th August and still waiting with no updates or replies to emails. Wish I'd read the reviews on here beforehand. Would definitely not recommend and won't be using again.

i ordered from charnwood a pair of caterpiller gravel safety boots, 2nd august 2023, order 100066979 i asked if this boot was a wide fit, the person who took the order assured me they were a wide fitting boot, on delivery the boots looked a good ideal pair of boots, all good so far....when trying on the boots they were not just uncomfortable, but painful, on further inspection the inside foot bed was really narrow, on comparison with my old caterpiller boots, these boots were not a wide fitting boot at all called charnwood and after many , many attempts had a call back to arrange the return and sort a exchange, todays date is 6 sept havent got a exchange or refund or had a call back as promised by several customer persons after calling several times per day, is unlikely i shall see any refund at all, the blog on charnwoods web site doesnt live up to the hype at all IE Just good old fashioned customer service from experts in safety footwear, A complete waste of time and hard earned money,

Ordered some safety shoes for a job the following week. Paid for 4-5 day delivery on a Monday and they did not arrive. When I called the following week, they promised that they would be delivered by the end of that week. Lo and behold, I am still waiting after nearly 4 weeks and no shoes. When you call customer services, they cant help, they refer you to a callback and you are at the mercy of whoever wants to call you back.

- Boots delivered a week later than expected

- No response to emails (5 to date)

- Told I will receive a call back, never happened.

Really poor service. Received boots too late and requested refund.

Ordered my boots on the 6th of August and still not received them. My wife called them at around 2pm to which they promised they would look into it and call back. Its now 19.30 and guess what no call. This is the second time I have used this company and had no problems 1st time round hope this is just a blip.

I don’t normally write reviews but thought I would for this company, I always buy a certain type of safety boots for work as they suit my needs exactly, unfortunately they are an expensive boot, so every time I need a new pair I scan the internet for the best price, this company provided me with this, so ordered online, after no dispatch information received for about 4/5 days I looked on line at their reviews which wernt to good, so fearing the worse gave them a call, spoke to a nice lady who said she would look into the order, promising to call me back later, and yes she called me back apologised they hadn’t been shipped, told me when they would leave and once they were shipped lots of delivery info and came very quickly. Thank you
