Bait and switch, cancellation policy states a full refund. No mention of credits.

I booked a flight and received a text informing me that the flights were not confirmed. Subsequently I called the customer number where an agent informed me they could not confirm the return flight,- offering me return flights with stops. When I informed the agent that was not acceptable he refused me refund telling me I had to take credits contrary to the cancellation policy contained on their website. Rude and extremely unprofessional agent. A classic bait and switch.

Typical bait and switch scammers

Typical bait and switch scammers. They tell you one price online and then call you, tell you your tickets are not available, tell you have to pay more and won’t give you a refund for what you paid. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

If the prices seem too low to be true, that's because they are...expect a phone call saying they'll be billing you for an extra amount.

I booked three United tickets through CheapDealsFare for about $1,104.

After booking, CheapDealsFare called me and said United was going to charge them roughly $400 more for the tickets and wanted me to pay the additional amount.

I declined and asked them to cancel the booking.

They then repeatedly told me they could not cancel because I had purchased their “lowest price tier” and that the booking was nonrefundable.

The problem was that:

Their website advertised 24-hour free cancellation;
I requested cancellation about an hour after booking;
their own confirmation said my credit card had not been charged yet; their confirmation said the tickets would not be issued until payment was processed;
their published exclusion referred to LCC / low-cost carrier tickets, while my flights were on United; a cheap United fare is not the same thing as flying on a low-cost carrier.

I saved screenshots of their cancellation policy, documented every call, contacted my credit-card company, locked the card, and emailed CheapDealsFare in writing stating that I had already requested cancellation and did not authorize any additional fare or charges.

When I called them back, I told them I had reviewed their written policies and asked them to show me exactly where their supposed “lowest price tier” exception was disclosed.

At that point they backed off and agreed to release the reservation and said they would refund/cancel the transaction.

Ironically, their own confirmation had already stated that they had not charged my card yet, so there apparently wasn’t actually anything to refund at that point.

If this happens to you, do not agree to the increased fare just because they tell you the airline raised the price. Save everything, document your cancellation request immediately, and ask them to show you the exact written policy they are relying on.

"I would not recommend CheapDealsFare

"I would not recommend CheapDealsFare. I specifically asked their representative about Frontier's checked-bag fee before choosing my replacement flights and was told $35 at the counter. I later saw a different price in Frontier's app, so I called CheapDealsFare again to confirm. I was specifically told not to use the app and that the counter price would be $35. I relied on that information. Frontier ultimately charged me $104 USD per flight, or $208 total for two checked bags. I had also specifically asked about additional handling fees and was told there would be none.

When I complained, CheapDealsFare offered a $200 voucher. Before accepting it, I specifically asked whether I would be restricted to their website. I was told I could use it through other third-party travel sites. I accepted it based on that information. I am now being told the voucher can only be used through CheapDealsFare.

I am extremely disappointed. The problem isn't simply that a fee was higher than expected—I called twice specifically to verify the baggage price before traveling and made my flight choices based on the information I was given. The company has recordings of those calls. I am requesting reimbursement of the $208 USD baggage charges and will be pursuing the appropriate consumer complaint channels if this isn't resolved."

Bait & Switch

I booked a round-trip flight through CheapDealsFare, which I accessed via Expedia. As a trusted, well-known travel platform, I expected Expedia's partners to meet a basic standard of legitimacy and fair dealing, which is why I proceeded with the booking.

I agreed to a fare of $1,375. When the transaction was finalized, I was charged $2,348.84 — an increase of $973.84 over the price I had agreed to. This total included a $395 fee charged by CheapDealsFare for booking the ticket on my behalf, a service I could have performed myself directly with the airline for less money and with no added fee.

I called to dispute the charge and request a cancellation or refund. The representative told me the inability to refund my payment was due to the airline's cancellation policy, not CheapDealsFare's own policy. I pointed out that if the ticket had not yet actually been booked with the airline, the airline's post-ticketing cancellation rules should not have applied, and that I intended to dispute the charge with my credit card company. At that point the representative became rude and argumentative.

I remained on the phone for approximately 45 minutes attempting to get the booking cancelled or to be offered a fare in line with the $1,375 I had originally agreed to. Every alternative I was offered came with a significant price increase over the original agreed fare. I was booking urgent travel for myself and my mother to attend a memorial service three days later, and did not have the time to continue negotiating with a representative who was uncooperative and unprofessional.

I am filing this complaint because CheapDealsFare advertised and verbally confirmed a fare of $1,375, then charged $2,348.84 without my informed consent to the increase, including a $395 fee for a booking service that added no value over booking directly with the airline. When I raised the discrepancy, I was met with a refusal to make it right and unprofessional conduct from their representative.
