Excellent performance
Excellent performance. Great temperature control. Since there are no manual controls, there are problem having other people using the same Joule, unless there is some sharing option I am not aware of. Sole problem is that the connection to WiFi is troubling, and the Bluetooth is not working from far away.

Great company, site, and products
I've had a Joule from ChefSteps for nearly a year and a half now. The app and their site are constantly updating for the better. When my Joule began to have some issues, the customer service department identified the issue from the symptoms I described and immediately ordered a replacement to be sent to me at no cost. I merely had to ship the failing one back, also for free. I can't say enough good things about ChefSteps and Joule!

I love my joule
I love my joule! It is by far my favorite new cooking tool. The chefsteps website and app is also very well organized and detail oriented. I have owned it for about 6 months and have done at least 3 dozen meals with it.

I have barely needed to contact them about anything, but it is usually a swift resolution. The recipes for the Joule are great, I use it mainly for making batches as I do meal prep, and also perfect steaks!

This thing works great!
This thing works great and Sous Vide allows great flexibility in timing dinners. My only complaint is the reliance on a tablet or phone to turn it on or off.

The Joule is so easy to use! Just plug and play. All the recipes are right on the app that fires it up. The magnet on the bottom and clip are genius. My family the sous eggs Ramen style - we can't get enough!

It changed my life.
I love cooking, but using a Joule has brought my cooking to a new level. I use it every week, and control it from work. Everything comes out perfectly how I want it. Every time. I made the best ribs my wife and I have ever eaten. The best pork loin. Amazing veggies. The informal and often humorous app is also a plus. After having tried the food I make with it, my parents and several of my friends are getting their own. You won't be disappointed.

The joule is a nice immersion…
The joule is a nice immersion circulator overall. I received it as a gift and was very excited to try it out. I like it's small footprint, it's easier to store than my anova. The Bluetooth ability is nice but I would love a quick manual adjustment on the jouke itself. It sucks that I always need my phone to control the Joule. It performs well enough. I don't have any issues with how it cooks. Everything that I've made so far comes out perfectly.

I have had my Joule since December and…
I have had my Joule since December and have thoroughly enjoyed it! I have been experimenting with different type foods and combining smoking and sous vide together with amazing results. Now when I go and visit my children, they make sure i am bringing the Joule with me. I think I have dropped a spot in my importance in the family line!

I cook all the time
I cook all the time. We are Paleo. My husband surprised me with the Joulee. I was intimidated at first. I didn’t need to be. Not only is this cooking method easy, it allows me to produce the most amazing steaks, chicken and pork chops EVER!!! Tender, mouth watering. My mom is 87. She said that the chicken breasts done the joulee were the most tender, juicy and best she’s ever had...in her life. Believe me, it’s not easy to please my mother!!

I got the Joule so that I can have dinner cooked when I arrive at home. I'm a busy working mom who has no time to cook in the evening. I prepare meals in advance and keep them in the freezer, in the morning plop in a frozen packaged meat, turn it on from work in the middle of the afternoon. I come home to perfectly cooked, tender, juice meat. I'm a fan.

Great site dedicated to great cooking
The team at ChefSteps clearly believe in Sous Vide, and they have a convert in me. The Joule along with the recipes and guides on the site have transformed the way I cook. I simply will never cook certain dishes any other way. They turn out that good.
I like how the recipes also recommend side dishes to go with the proteins, not all using the Joule. I've made the fingerling potato salad, my first attempt at Romesco, and several other sides I found on the website. And the videos that go along with many of the recipes explaining the "why" behind the recipes have helped me make modifications where necessary.
You can tell that the people behind ChefSteps love cooking, and want to share home cooking with as many people as possible. They do a fantastic job with their mission and I sincerely hope they keep it up.

Joule beats out other sous-vide machines.
I've had other sous-vide machines, but my Joule is the best. If it has any problems. their customer service is second to none. They immediately take steps to resolve any issues. If I were in the market for a consumer sous-vide machine, Joule would be at the top of my list.
