This is an amazing cooking tool
This is an amazing cooking tool! Never before have I been able to make such tender meats and perfectly cooked fish. The app is fantastic and totally user friendly. Thank you Joule for making me a better home chef!

prefer old chefsteps app over Joule
The old chefsteps is more user friendly when following recipes. The Joule app for recipes is very cumbersome and way to many clicks to get the whole recipe. Not as user friendly.

Truly disappointed.
I think I'm a half decent cook, but even following your directions to the letter, I didn't get near the rants and raves I've been reading about. I've been experimenting with different proteins, and vegetables, but they 've been yielding mediocre results. Everything in my kitchen has a use and a purpose, and this one is quickly losing it's spot.

Excellent Travel Companion
I've had my Joule for over a year now and am very happy with it. I did have an issue where it suddenly stopped turning on though. It was quickly replaced under warranty and I have not had it happen again. I travel with it since it's so compact.Connection to WiFi can be a bit flaky at times, especially if you microwave at the same time. WiFi and microwaves do not get along! The phone app is great. I especially like the videos and the doneness guides. I've made some wonderful meals away from home with my Joule. Well worth the price. And, it looks cool too!

If I could give 10 stars
If I could give 10 stars, I would. I contacted ChefSteps on Saturday with an issue related to WiFi connectivity. In less than 24 hours I my email was forwarded to a developer. With in another 24 hours the developer offered to replace the defective product and provided me with the steps needed to complete the process. No one asked stupid questions like "did you try unplugging your device" etc. You could tell that the person I was dealing with, actually understood their product and what the issue was. All in, with in 6 days I have a replacement product in my hands. I could not ask for a better experience. Will 100% recommend the company to all my friends. Product is great, support is great, I don't think it gets better than that.

Love my Joule
Never over cook again with Joule sou vide. Would like to see more time and temperatures tables for cooking fish.

Great Sous Vide
I love it! I’d recommend adding a few minor adjustments to the app... more varying thicknesses of meat, as well as being able to cook multiple meats to different doneness, in the same water pot. Like if you have one guest that want rare and another medium rare, I’d like to see you be able to track both!

Frequent motor issues.
I have consistently struggled to get the joule to start an incubation. I received information from support to unscrew the bottom and exercise the propeller to reset the motor - I ended up having to do this every time I used the Joule. Indeed the last two times I tried to use the Joule I attempted to do this multiple times and let the unit cool down (as was also recommended), to no avail - I wasn’t able to sous vide my food. I haven’t tried to use it since.

Love my Joule and previously had a Sansaire and it literally wore out and cracked, not this unit! The app is pretty bullet proof and easy to use and the recipes are solid.

I love my Joule
I love my Joule. I use it once or twice a week. Some people do not like that you can not control it on the device, but I have never had any trouble using the bluetooth or WiFi connection. I have cooked steak, chicken, Christmas ham, cheesecake, and more!
Great buy to take your cooking to the next level.

Absolutely LOVE this tool
Absolutely LOVE this tool! The only drawback I have with this is the fact I HAVE to use my phone to program it. Internet is spotty at best in my house, so that is an issue. Other than that, everyone loves the foods I cook sous vide.
