When Considering Engaging a Dog Trainer ,walker Think very Carefully about Signing up to Cheshire Paws , Captains orders.
2 weeks ago during a pack walk at the Kingsley of lead park my Frenchie was bitten by a Labrador on her ear during the session
The owner of the above businesses have supplied 3 different accounts of what took place
I have tried unsuccessfully to arrange a meeting to resolve this with the owner of the business please insure you read the terms and conditions very Carefully .

Reply from Cheshire Paws

The Frenchie ran at the Labrador and startled him. He nicked her ear accidentally. Very minor injury which has probably healed by now, no stitches were required.

The Frenchie was new to the group, the Labrador has been with us for years and has never hurt another dog before.

“Three accounts of what happened” simply isn’t true - myself and the team member who was present have explained what happened in detail but nothing was changed each time we were asked to tell it. It was exactly what I’ve written above in the first paragraph.

Regarding trying to resolve it, I offered to visit the clients, and call the clients numerous times. Each time they said no. I have asked them approximately 8-10 times “what can I do to resolve this?” and the question has either been ignored or met with unkind comments every time.

The safety and welfare of dogs and clients is paramount, everything we do is with this ans top priority. With almost a hundred dogs on our books, and around 15 walks a week, operating for almost 8 years, our track record speaks for itself. Clients signed a form to say their dog was comfortable and confident around other dogs, and had good social manners. Unfortunately this was not the case, and the Frenchie sustained a minor injury as a result.

If you are considering using Cheshire Paws, please take a look at all the lovely comments and remarks that our clients leave for us regularly. One incident that was caused due to lack of client disclosing the truth will hopefully not negate the many happy clients and dogs we look after daily.

AVOID

Debbie lost our daughter’s dog after assuring us that her field was very secure and that she wouldn’t let them( she had our dog too)off lead until they were all used to each other. Olive managed to escape as her field was anything but secure and was missing for two nights in -7. Thankfully she was found.
I can accept accidents happen but what I can’t accept is her lack of accountability! All she has done is try to blame us by saying …you said they had good recall. When I contacted her to ask for insurance details to make a small claim for loss of earnings she was nothing short of vile to me. Her insurance is useless and basically if she looses your dog “Cheshire paws” are not liable.
Think very carefully before using this Woman. All it seems she is interested in is money and good reviews as any negative ones on google she has somehow had removed. Not the type of person I would ever have trusted to leave our beloved fur babies with had I known her Character!!

I have been using Cheshire Paws for a while now on an ad hoc basis and recently my dog attends Cheshire Paws every week. I have always found Debbie and her team to be excellent, ery accomodating of any short notice changes and always professional. My dog enjoys himself and loves his walks and it is great getting a video or some pictures seeing how content he is! I am happy to recommend Cheshire Paws.

If I could give 0 stars I would

If I could give 0 stars I would. I asked them why a dog as gone missing in there care for over 3 days in a secure field. They deleted my comment, and also blocked me. I asked them again in my other account no doubt it will get deleted.
I'm pleased it wasn't my dog as I treat my dog like a human a little baby and no doubt the owners of that dog that went missing do aswell.
For them to loose this dog is disgraceful it's like loosing a child in my eyes. If you haven't got an animal you won't understand how much these pets mean to you. My dog goes to doggy day care and I know they check there security every day for the dogs they have.

Excellent services from walking my dog…

Excellent services from walking my dog to training him as a puppy and then helping me resolve issues later as he got older. Highly qualified, including first aid, local awards for the business, training etc. definitely worth every penny and confident my dog is in safe hands. Highly recommend with no hesitation

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.
Lost a beloved dog which was out in up to minus 10 temperatures for 3 nights and refused to engage with the owner, the field they use was also not secure.
Now they have removed their Facebook page and take zero responsibility for this incident.
Luckily this dog has been found !

Lost customers dog in freezing temperatures

Allowed escape of a dog that was on trial so the first time they were used and assured the owner olive would be on a lead at all times and the field they were using would be secure. Olive escaped and was missing in -7 temperatures for 3 days with no help from the company! Absolutely disgusting do not trust them with your dogs!!!

Allowed a dog to escape a secure field

Allowed a dog to escape a secure field, after promising to keep her on an extendable lead, as it was her first time being walked by them. The field was not secure and the extendable lead was clearly not used. The poor dog was missing in the freezing snow for nearly 3 days. This company helped look until it went dark on day 1, then spent their time promoting their business on socials. Not once did they share any online appeals to help find her. Absolutely disgraceful. I would avoid at all costs
