Ordered using chop chop for sainsburys. Delivery was marked as delivered but nothing was ever delivered… straight up lies. Called to get a refund, got cut off. Called again… still waiting for the refund.

Same experiences as others re crackling phone and driver wearing his helmet. Terrible lack of English so almost impossible to communicate. He couldn’t find the address though only a couple of doors away though I talked him through - English almost non existent. Then 2 items supposedly in stock were missing. Luckily it was a free first delivery. £1 dearer than Tesco otherwise. Did come quickly in about 40 mins. Tesco deliveries come in 30 mins. Not impressed and won’t be using again

Shocking, had forgotten how bad it was after having cancelled orders and orders not showing up. In a split moment I decided to order from here again. Main issues - timing has never been within an hour and orders cancelled after showing ‘accepted and out for delivery’ . Cut off from customer service line when trying to enquire about order.

I know you pay for the convenience, but as the delivery charge is £4.99, you'd expect your shopping to be delivered to your door. My last delivery the driver text me to say "I've arrived"!!
I text back to say he'd need to come up to the second floor to my flat, as I'm disabled. Then I got THE most garbled phone call ever. I couldn't understand a word he said. I reiterated the instructions on my chop chop account slowly, where my flat was. The crackling on his phone made it impossible to hear him. When I opened my door I found that he was still on his phone, but still wearing his crash helmet!! I said he really needed to take his helmet off when using his phone. He just roughly handed my shopping at me. Was it worth complaining?.....no!
I've waited two weeks and still haven't got the £69 refund 
I placed an order costing £69 on 19 November, received completely the wrong delivery and I'm still waiting for the refund! Despite phoning customer service three times! The second time I phoned they said the request for a refund hadn't even been recorded!

I had the same experience as the other reviewers - I wish I’d read them first as wouldn’t have ordered. Firstly the order was about 20 minutes late. The driver phoned from the corner shop and told me to come there and get the items - well Sainsburys deliver to us every week so never a problem. He then proceeded to tell me he couldn’t go any further as his sat nav wouldn’t let him. When I told him this is ridiculous as I had paid for delivery he then hung up on me. I phoned customer services and was told he cancelled the order. Also customer services were terrible - told me I would get a refund sometime ! Terrible service Sainsburys

I have had all of the same experience as you guys I am very vulnerable I have severe fibromyalgia I am currently bed bound I am so bad I can barely walk so I rely on online shopping. I am also agrophobic I physically can’t leave my house. So on the 17th November I made a small order quickly it was for something important I needed that morning medicine or something anyway they cancelled at the last minute I have not rang as I have been using normal online Sainsbury’s online shopping and normally they give a refund back quickly. I have waited every day now I know it’s £29 but I am a single mum and the gas went and ran out on me I was so stuck my young daughter is 18 now but I won’t ask for help. I was so cold on top of being so poorly my daughter is now not well with something I couldn’t sleep I was so cold it was the night it started snowing! Have any of you had your refunds back in the bank! Because this is theft when you think about it they go on about shoplifting they have taken from me with no explanation.
My anxiety is through the roof worrying because it’s messed me up with money I know it does not sound much but it is to me. Please can someone let me know if they have given your money back? This has made me so poorly I don’t know what to do I feel so let down the online shopping with them is fine but this chop chop thing is a disgrace. Upon the call I’ve been told that the drivers are able to cancel the orders - nice.
One of the staff members hung up on me.
One told me I’ll get my refund on a day, the next person I spoke to said 3 days, the manager said it’d take up to 5 working days.
I’ve also been told to not order with Chop Chop if I am not happy with their service.

Completely awful. Placed an order at half 4, took them 3 hours and 2 calls from me for them to deliver my groceries, and then they only delivered half. They assured me there was a second driver coming that day, and were irritated at the fact that I was chasing up my order. Well it’s now half midnight and they never came. No accountability and no help, would NOT bother with this place. Their service is actually embarrassing

I placed an order at 13.37 ….its now 15.44 and still haven’t received my order! Called customer service just after the hour slot when the shopping it’s supposed to be delivered…I was told that they would deliver it in the next 20 min but so far nothing! What a waste of hours of my life waiting for a chop chop order that didn’t materialise.
After 4 hours I phoned and spoke to a nice person but they couldn’t get through to the store to find out where my order was. I asked for a refund and promised I’d never use the service again.
But today for some reason I thought t I’d give it a second try. 2 hours later there was still no sign of my small order. I phoned the helpline again and had the same experience.
Seriously Sainsbury’s, don’t offer a service if you can’t do it.

Terrible service
This is the second time I’ve used the Chop Chop service and the second time only half the items were delivered. Unfortunately it’s not fit for purpose and a terrible service. If you need items quickly, stick to Tesco Whoosh - that actually works.

Ordered at 1 pm nothing after 2 hrs rang them up said it would be 20min, still no delivery at 330pm- rang again apparently they were waiting for driver . App not updated at all until 426pm to say it was in process. Received no updates whatsoever, had to ring the customer service line each time . Rang again at 5pm to chase up - again was told driver on the way. Was told they would log a complaint on their side .Arrived at 515pm and had one item missing . Having a sick child at home and unable to get groceries thought this would be a good idea - what a terrible idea. NEVER AGAIN . Shameful Sainsburys- don’t offer a service you can’t provide .

Called 0333 313 3129 immediately as the delivery driver refused my right to refuse delivery (Which is listed in the terms and conditions as a lawful action i.e 'I' as a consumer have the right to refuse receipt of the delivery). Anyway with that said I spoke with James at the Sainsbury's Chop Chop call centre. I was told 16 items where out of stock, a refund would be processed within 24 hours and the outstanding money would reach my account in 5 working days. I explained to James this wasn't ideal because this was the last of my money and unfortunately what was actually delivered wouldn't sustain me for the potential 6 day period. He said he would push this matter to his manager and put an urgent refund through to the financial team. James also stated I would get confirmation of all this through email shortly...
At the time of purchasing the available items on Sainsbury's Chop Chop App were showing approximately 2/3 of all items were showing as unavailable so I chose from the items that were 'In Stock' only to find most of my delivery wasn't even available... (Which in its self isn't good enough as there are currently not food shortages in the UK).
Over 24hrs later (15/10/24) I Spoke with Anthony (again from Sainsbury's Chop Chop call centre). Asking were my confirmation email was regarding the processing of my £29.70 refund. I was told that it had not been processed yet and there were NO NOTES on the system regarding my undelivered items - which in the 21st century is absolutely unacceptable! So I had to once again go through everything with Anthony (Which should have been logged with James the day prior) to be once again promised that my refund would go through by 1300hrs GMT 16/10/24...
Note: I was told by Anthony that he was unable to speed up the process of the refund regardless of my situation. I warned Anthony that if my Refund was not processed by tomorrow afternoon I would be going to the Evening news! I was assured that it would be processed and I was given free delivery on my next Chop Chop order to compensate me for all this hassle. 1. I can't eat a voucher and 2. What makes you think I will ever use your App/Company ever again!!!
16/10/24 @ 14:05 Spoke with Gee or Ghee (Couldn't quite understand her). Asked to speak with a Manager as still no refund had been processed another 24 hours later and still no email confirmation - I was hung up on!
16/10/24 @ 14:10 Spoke with Christine (This time I didn't ask to speak with a manager). Was assured that my refund had been requested and was awaiting processing within the next 24 hours. Told Christine that I'd been told this many times before to no Avail and it now seems highly likely that I will never get my money back. She again assured me that this wouldn't be the case and she would personally monitor the situation and push through the refund of £29.70 by tomorrow.
I also sent an email to Sainsbury's Chop Chop team outlining the situation and nobody has replied.

18/10/24 called and spoke to Jeremiah @ 16:20 (48 hours after being told within 24 hours your refund will be processed). Was told the same old nonsense.
I will no longer be dealing with Chop Chop and have now instructed my Bank to take back the funds that I am owed by, 'Cash-Back'
