Received an Email to say my order had…
Received an Email to say my order had been cancelled by my personal shopper. I called the service line to find out what was going on and was told the store was too busy to prepare my order so they simply cancelled it. No real apology given. Deleting the app from my phone and going back to Amazon fresh.
DO NOT GO THERE
Orange chicken was very dry like really dry, told that to man behind the counter, he was not easy to get contact with and after a long while he gave me more sauce, but that was not the point, chicken was dry, hart like old. Not freshly made. Tasteless.
Bad bad service and bad food. Don’t waste your money in this restaurant.
Never again
For the love of all things holy
For the love of all things holy, do not use this service. This is only my second time using it, it's 45 minutes past the end of my 1-hour delivery window, and they haven't even shopped my order yet. I've been on hold with customer service for over 10 minutes with no answer, and that's after being hung up on by the first customer service agent (who I also waited on hold for for a really long time).
The blatant disrespect they have for their customers is impossible to ignore. I'm a frequent online grocery shopper, but I will not be ordering from Sainsbury again. Save yourself the headache and learn from my mistakes.
After the hour had past i called them…
After the hour had past i called them to query they did answer and they did chase the order through but not all the items were there , i was charged the full amount (out of my bank) no refund for out of stock......... please be wary if using this App
Took my money and didn’t deliver!
Tried them twice- never again!!! Both times terrible service.
First time took about 3 hours and multiple calls and eventually I received my order.
The second time they didn’t deliver after 2 hours. App just said order accepted for 2 hours. I called twice. First I was told it had been processed and they were trying to find a delivery driver. Second time I called they said that all that had actually happened was that the order had been accepted. They couldn’t get hold of the store. I was told that they had been experiencing delays all day and couldn’t say if they would get it to me. So I cancelled the order and then a couple of hours later they debited me anyway!!!
Sainsbury's should hang their heads in shame!
Yeah, it's really that bad.
Yeah, unfortunately chop-chop is as bad as all the reviews are saying. Our 60 minute window quickly vanished and the order hadn't progressed. We called customer service and they were unable to reach the store. We were promised cancellation by them contacting the same store the rep couldn't reach. Complaint logged. Avoid if it's not already too late. Use ZOOM by ocado if you can, seamless.
Don’t waste your time or money!
I recently placed an order through the Chop Chop by Sainsbury’s app, and unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. Despite the order never arriving, I contacted customer care, who assured me they would follow up with the store and get back to me. However, 48 hours later, I still hadn't received any communication or update.
It’s frustrating to deal with poor service, especially when the promised resolution is never followed through. I expected better from Sainsbury’s and am extremely disappointed by both the non-delivery and the lack of response.
No delivery after 4 hours
Woul rate -5 if I could. Appalling service for the second time. 1st time order took over 3 hours and half of items missing. Today 4 hours after order accepted no delivery despite them taking money and calling customer service 2 hours after order placed. DO NOT USE. Just Eat, Uber far better options!!
I would give no stars if I could
I would give no stars if I could. Thieving scammers! I order shopping for my disabled father. He was desperate for an item so I thought I’d use ChopChop. Spent £40. Item never turned up but they claim it was delivered. I have argued with their customer service four times now and in the last time they suggested I do a charge back with my bank rather than them refunding me. Absolutely shocking. Twice they have said they will call me back within 3 days but never have. They have a separate customer service to the usual Sainsbury’s number. Makes me question if it’s even the same company.
They should be ashamed of themselves- my dad, who is house bound and in his 70’s is now out of pocket because of their incompetence and dishonesty.
Please do yourself a favour and stick well clear! You’d be better off burning the money than spending it with ChopChop - at least you’d have warmth for a couple of seconds that way.
Order did not arrive
Order did not arrive. What a rip off. Sainsburys really need to sort this out.
Appalling
Appalling. Ordered a delivery to an elderly relative. Did not arrive. Then told hours later it had been cancelled. Took my money though. A disgrace for a brand like Sainsbury’s.
My order was messed up
My order was messed up. I didn’t get what I ordered. The sushi rolls is getting thinner and thinner but the price remains. This isn’t the way to treat customers.
AVOID
AVOID! Ordered evening before and delivery arrived the next day when I was at work. Stick to Deliveroo.
Goods not delivered
Ordered goods on 23/7/24. Did not arrive. Rang Chop Chop next day and promised to refund. 13/8/24 still no refund. Rang four times today and kept getting cut off. Will never use this service ever again. They are quick to take your money but no so quick to give a refund. Customer service have screaming kids in the background, obviously working from home. AVOID
More like not not service - total flop flop!
More like not not service
I have been waiting for over 3 hours for something that is meant to be less than 60mins
Called customer service and been on phone for over 2 hours speaking to over 7 people with no resolution
Simply put if you cannot deliver the service just do not provide it!
What’s worse is that I asked for a refund and they said they had to wait 24 hours for something I never received
What’s more their technical system said it was delivered initially
Absolutely appalling sainsburys has really gone downhill will never be using your service again absolutely rubbish.
Additionally, I am currently in a knee brace and use crutches which is why I initially used your service. I ended up having to go myself to get a small proportion of what I originally ordered. 4 hours later I then get a phone call from sainsburys asking if I want my order delivered still right at the end of the day - despite being told by customer service that chop chop at my local store was closed for the day! Absolutely disgraceful, with all the terrible reviews why has this service not been closed! Terrible inconvenience.
Ordered on Wednesday 31st July
Ordered on Wednesday 31st July.
Driver called to say he was outside but he was not. He then told me that I had given the wrong address even though I have lived here for over 16 years and the address and post code were correct on the order. Tried to get a refund and I am still waiting after 10 phone calls with three of those just putting the phone down on me. I have a promise of maybe Monday 12th August or Tuesday 13th August but I am not holding my breath, and will no doubt have to call again. Absolutely useless service. BTW it's still showing as 'out for delivery'
Putney Chop Chop
Where I live, the Chop Chop service is very timely, which I commend. However, I have had to complain multiple times that not one of the delivery men will follow delivery instructions I am asked to supply when placing the order, which are to leave the bags of groceries outside my front door because I have a broken foot and cannot get to the door. I have complained EVERY time (roughly 10 times), either via the app, or via a call to Customer Support or by ringing the relevant shop (Putney) all to no avail. I have been promised several times that this will not happen again and that I will not be forced to drag myself painfully to the door but the delivery men continue to get it wrong by knocking until they get a reply. Even a luminous message I have stuck on the front door with the same instructions made no difference. I cannot decide if they cannot read at all/cannot understand English/cannot be bothered to read instructions or are not intellectually equipped for the job. Surely, it cannot be hard to train your staff to follow simple directions! It’s maddening. Another issue I have found is with the choice of groceries. More than half of those listed are ‘Out of stock’, even first thing in the morning. As soon as my foot is healed I will stop using this disappointing service.
Terrible experience every time
Terrible experience every time! I don't know why I even have given this rubbish service a second chance. Takes hours to receive your order, and that's after hours of chasing it, being put on hold, disconnected, over and over. No accountability. Promises of compensation never materialised. Don't bother, use Tesco whoosh instead.
WORST EXPERIENCE
My wife recently had a frustrating experience with Sainsbury's Chop Chop delivery service. She placed an order expecting it to arrive within the promised 60 minutes. However, the rider did not show up even after 2 hours. Concerned about the delay, she called customer service, and they assured her that the order was on its way. Unfortunately, the order didn't arrive until 4 hours after she placed it.
During this time, she had already requested a cancellation due to the excessive delay. When the delivery person finally arrived, she returned the items to him, hoping this would resolve the issue.
The situation worsened with the refund process. Despite calling Sainsbury's Chop Chop multiple times over the past two weeks, she still hasn't received her refund. Every time she contacts them, they say it will take time, but nothing has been resolved. Whenever she calls, she's often put on hold for long periods, or the call is disconnected altogether.
Overall, this experience has been extremely disappointing and frustrating. We expected better service from a reputable company like Sainsbury's. The delay in delivery and the lack of support from customer service have been unacceptable. We hope they will address these issues promptly, but as of now, we won’t be using their delivery service again.
Definitely not Chop Chop most…
Definitely not Chop Chop most definitely Crap Crap. Would give zero stars if I could.
Took money delivery never arrived unable to contact chop chop delivery on the number I was given no help in their help centre online definitely wouldn’t recommend and would never use again
