The flavour you're experiencing is butyric acid- the same flavour in Parmesan cheese, and an anti-inflammatory so powerful on its own account that it is sold separately as a supplement.
If you're unaccustomed to fermented foods, it can indeed be startling the first time! Like fizzy feta cheese. However many of our customers who recreate strongly to the tart taste in the beginning end up enjoying and even craving it.
Our kefir is not a recreational milk shake but a therapeutic health product! If you're interested in enjoying the many the health benefits, I suggest blending it up with a banana to make it sweeter, until you adjust to the tartness.
If you contact our Nutritional Therapists on live chat between 8 am to 8 pm weekdays, they can send you some smoothie recipes that will help with palatability in the early stages.

DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY! SHOCKING wait times and pricing
I ordered a £300 YES 300 test for mum, which arrived quickly. She sent her sample back very quickly.
They said they would inform her when it was received, she had no correspondence and has checked all her inboxes and junk mail.
It has now been almost 2 months later and we haven't had any results or information on the tests.
I'd like a refund! I can't believe they can charge this price and not have sent results!

Looking inside our system, I can see that your mother's test was received by the lab on Mar. 9. Her results have come back today, Apr 21, which is 30 working days from receipt. This is within the window of 35 working days stated on the website.(https://www.chucklinggoat.co.uk/product/microbiome-test-kit/)
However, I note that your mother has not yet filled out the required health survey, which she will need to do before she is able to access her results.

Worked for me
Although I absolutely hate the taste of both the kefir goat milk and the prebiotic they worked within one week so I was still on the lower dose all my symptoms are gone and I really serious stress hives and had steroids from the doctors which helps temporarily but the came back and nothing could help this helped within six days got rid of everything I am thrilled with it although it does taste awful.

Extremely strong open with care
Extremely strong open with care. Follow portion instructions. I have started coming up to 3 weeks ago At the moment I am going through a parasite die off. Which is horrendous but it shows just how good the kefir is. One advice consume along with soluble and insoluble fibre.

I heard about this kefir on the podcast Sliced Bread on BBC Sounds. The listener asked if supermarket kefir was worth buying. A 'gut biome' expert was in the discussion and he said yes, it's better than nothing. But the only one he would recommend was Chuckling Goat. So we subscribed and honestly, we are both obsessed with the stuff. I would drink it by the pint, if I could afford to!
