Very disappointed with the way I was treated you sent me a renewal of £328.19 and told me I didn't have to do anything and you'd just take the money, went to work on the day of renewal and came home midday to check my bank and you hadn't taken it out meaning I wasn't insured. Phoned you to resolve this issue and was told that because it had gone past 12pm that day it has gone up to £357.64 for no fault of my own I ended up paying more. For a loyal long term customer this is not ok. Paid with the same bank details you have stored, would of appreciated a phone call in the morning before the price went up and we could of sorted it out there and then instead costed me £30 more.

I score Churchill a BIG ZERO but that option was not available, I was advised right from the start of my claim that I was non-fault and have the dash cam footage which they made the decision from, this stayed the same for four months, then the third party put a dispute in with no evidence as to why, I received a call from Danny an existing claims handler and his attitude was rude and totally disgusting not something that I would of expected from a Churchill employee and my own insurance company, and I have also since being purposely mislead by the claim handler Callum, I have been totally let down right from the start and my claim totally mishandled. I have since paid to have the footage reviewed independently, and there report agreed that Churchill should be pushing for 100% payment of the claim. I will not be renewing my insurance with them as I don’t trust them and I would advise anyone thinking of using them to think carefully and avoid them, as I’d hate to see this happen to someone else!

I have only given them 1 star because I don't think I can select none. This was the worst experience of making a calling in my life. I was reversed into by another vehicle pulling out of there dive, it was not up for dispute it was a no fault claim. Our vehicle a VW caravel adapted for my disabled family was vital to the well-being a safety of my complex family, my wife and I specialise in looking after children with dissabilites within the fostering service. We also have three of our own children that are disabled. Right from the start it was a nightmare, they could not provide a wheelchair accessible hire car, the created two difference accounts for the accident, the valuation engineer offered us more that £7,000 less than teh vehicle was worth by recording double the milage of your vehicle, he also claimed the vehicle had previous rust and damage prior to the accident and sent in photos of a completely different vehicle. Complaint after complaint was mishandled and ignored. Eventually a threat to take them to the financial ombudsman meant they sent another engineer who medal raised the offer by £6,500 proving they had seriously undervalued our claim. This second evaluation took over a month to complete and during that time our hire car was removed completely, our middle son missed important medial appointment because we were only giving 12 hours notice of the removal of our vehicle, our complaint was ignored. As we could not do without a vehicle we had to use all of our saving to purchase an inferior vehicle as we could not afford a winch to be fitted as we had to have it adapted for my disabled wife to drive. it cost us £100's in taxi's , I had to make over 50 call chasing them up and they eventually offer £350 compensation for 6 weeks of hell. Do not use this company, when we spoke to company that supplied the hire car, they told us Churchill would do anything at all to not pay out because people are skint and need the money to get mobile again. Thankgod we had some saving and could buy a new car, although inferior. For those families living hand to mouth this would have ten a disaster. Our complaint now sits with th2 financial ombudsman.

Churchill has been great over the years with my car insurance. So you can imagine my surprise that they have sent me a renewal which is £100 more expensive than last year! I can only presume you have hired Rachel Reeves as your Chief Renewal Officer? I have never claimed on my insurance so to put this up by this much is ridiculous. What’s the reason or reasons it’s gone up that much? Donald Trump? The war in Ukraine? The Iran War? Brexit? They’re the usual reasons why everything goes up in this country or so they say…

I tell you what stinks, your whole approach what do you do sit down and think of a figure and then just send it out and see what sticks, some people would probably not even question it and just pay up my family has 4 cars insured with you, and we have done for years so much for loyalty and looking after your old customers if I had not questioned it you would have just taken the extra money, thanks for nothing,if anyone asked me I would tell them to shop around as there is no such thing as loyalty with insurance companies

From a renewal and cancelling the auto renewal function perspective they are awful. They nearly trippled my renewal price (for no apparent reason, no claims or fines or anything) which was set to auto renew automatically, which i thought was illegal now. I tried to cancel the auto renewal through the website where they have a button to do so, but clicking it just takes you to a page where they say they're sorry to see you go and to call them so they can try and sort it out, without the actual ability to cancel the auto renewal. It just feels very underhanded and wrong. You then have to call them and sit on hold for an hour to stop from being scammed out of 100's of pounds. Very very unimpressed. The intial price of the insurance was good and competetive, it was at the end that i lost all faith in them and won't be going back. They apparently see their customers as idiots hoping they don't see they're trying to take as much money as possible out of them via the auto renewal function. Poor.

Balance was cleared march 2025, as far as i was concerned this was finished with, may 2025 2 months later a random charge of £62 was added which i was oblivious to, 3 after this charge a default was added to my credit file.
Fast forward to june 2026 when i go for a property which requires no unsettled defaults. this cost me the property now someone else has gone for it.
To say im angry is an understatement
