I purchased from this company fairly consistently, then I realized they've been charging me for some kind of rewards program, Puro Perks, unrelated to cigars. They've been charging me $16.52 for the... See more

Criminal enterprise
Criminal enterprise. I made one purchase as a Christmas gift and was automatically charged for Puro Perks Club membership. I caught the charge and request it be cancelled and refunded. They cancelled the payment on their web page but never refunded the $14.95. They then charged me again the next month. I call again, same exercise. They call back and confirmed the cancellation. No refund. Guess what, they billed me again. Third times a charm. I turned it over to the fraud department at my bank. Do NOT purchase anything from these criminals.
Update: After I called the third time I received a email from Francis (Puro Perks) that in part read "We show that the fees we attempted to process on 02/17 and 02/25/2026 were declined by your financial institution and were not deducted from your account. Please contact your financial institution if you are noticing these fees on your statement. " This is an outright lie. I provided then the posted transaction but got no reply. My bank got one of the 3 transactions refunded. It not a lot of money. They hope you just don't notice it. Back to the fraud department at my bank
NEVER AGAIN
Placed a substantial order with CI & all went well. a month or so later I happened to notice TWO charges of $14.95/E, 1 in Jan & 1 in Feb. So on Feb. 27th I contacted CI & was told it was a monthly cigar club fee. I said: I am a Snow Bird, in FL for 1 - 2 months annually, so WHY would I have ever signed up for this sort of discount/promotion. (wish I had read on some other site reviews earlier about this ongoing SCAM) the gentleman, very understanding said they would provide a refund & should show up in the typical 5 - 7 days. Sure enough a refund was provide - BUT only for the 2nd charge was refunded !?? So now, wanting a paper trail on March 3rd I reached out to CI through "customerservice @ puroperks.com" I provided screen shot / cut n pastes of BOTH charges & of the ONE refund. I was astounded when BRANDON, FRANCIS & ERICA through a series of * e mails over FOUR days, continued to state that I had NOT been charged..
I gave them 1 last opportunity yesterday to rectify the issue, so this morning contacted our card company who CONFIRMED that I WAS as I 110% new, charged their monthly fee on January 30/31 & that they would be refunding me & going after CI/puroperks.
Guaranteed I WILL NEVER be looking to CI for product ever again - NO MATTER the deal - SPA007
Bought CI's White Yeti Mega-Sampler III
Complete waste of money. I bought CI’s White Yeti Mega-Sampler III and it was a total disaster. Every single cigar—from the Gurkhas to the Montecristos—was either stale or a knock-off. They all tasted like smoking a bunch of dry straws. I know my cigars, and these were way off. My friends and I tried ten different sticks and couldn't find a single decent one in the bunch. Avoid this sampler.
Garbage cugars
Bought the Victor Sinclair mother loud. Had a problem with every cigar I lit. Can't get a draw or they burn uneven. The leaf starts to unwrap never again will I buy through CI I'll stick to my local stores.
My go to online cigar store
Great pricing, I buy boxes from them already every month after trying cigars at local store. Shipment was great and never had a problem, no sure why there are no so many good reviews. And sometimes you get really good deals from the site as well. It is my go to online cigar store if I need to buy in volume.
Nothing but a fraudulent operation
I have been billed twice for 1 order that hasn't been shipped in several days. I have notified Texas AG Ken Paxton of the possible fraud by cigars international. I am also notifying my bank and doing a charge back on my card.
Cigars international are CROOKS
Cigars international are CROOKS. They use your credit card to enroll you into a program that you are unaware of, read the other reviews I’m not the only one. THEY WILL STEAL FROM YOU.
SCAM!!
This SCAM charged unauthorized and fraudulent payments by bank card also in Italy.
Never heard, ordered and bought anything from them.
Reported to the authorities.
Be aware and stay away from this s**t.
WATCH YOUR BILLING AS THEY ARE CHANGING INVOICE AFTER PAYMENT AND CHARGING FOR THE TARIFFS
I placed an order on 01/08/2026. I paid for the product thru Paypal where I authorized an amount of $135.41. I received by Confirmation and receipt showing this amount. I also received notification from Paypal for the same amount. Later in the evening, I was sent a notice from Paypal of another charge of $145.85 being done to my account with them. An inquire into this new charge showed that CI was processing a new charge for the order for the $145.85. When I called CI and spoke with Diana last night by phone, she seem unconcerned and advise it was due to extra tariffs. She offered a 20 dollar coupon then increased it to 50 later to allow the order to continue when I advised here to cancel the order. She then advised that should could not stop the order as it had already shipped. With continued insistence from me that the order being processed be canceled, Diana advise that she would refund the order but was requiring me to return the order when it arrives. I advised her that I would not be doing that and that she better have the shipper return it.
In doing research on this, I found that this is unlawful to charge any additional amount without authorization under Consumer Financial Protection Bureau rules. This action is considered fraud under the CFPB. The details of this transactions is being reported to the CFPB.
I have advised both your company and Paypal to cancel the order and refund all charges with in 48 hours and advised Diana to email the refund info and she refused saying she could not that. In addition, I will not be purchasing from your company any more in the future. My records indicate that I purchased $1102.64 in the last one year.
Cigars International PuroPerk is a scam
I have ordered a lot of products from C and I, and without making it clear, they get you to OPT in for PuroPerks, thinking it's free, and then you find out it's $14.95 monthly!! They have scammed me out of $194 for whatever this perk is. I have the receipts.
Watch out for hidden subscription charges
Going through my accounts I noticed a $14.95 monthly charge. After tracing the charge, I found out it was CI charging me. The monthly charge was not authorized. CI used deceptive and hidden business practices to bill me. When confronted, all CI would do is give a small part of the charges back. I have cancelled my account. If you order from them be very very careful they don't sneak in extra charges.
They screwed me over on a purchase and tried to blame me even after proven wrong
They shifted my order. There was no minimum purchase but they didn't send a 5 pack i was supposed to receive. I contacted customer support.... crickets for over a week and a half... so I contacted their Facebook just to get dismissed and blamed for them not sending it. They bait and switched and then blamed me for their behavior. Will never order from cigar international ever again and will recommend to anyone at the Lounge to rethink using them. They scammed and then blamed their victim. Dishonest company.
Cigars International Puro Perks Scam
Cigars International has a perks program that offers no perks. I don't remember signing up for Peru Perks, but I get charged every month. On Dec. 14 I filled out a contact form and told them that I didn't remember signing up for this program and didn't know what it was or what benefits I received for it and I needed it cancelled immediately. They responded and said I did it myself and I was under no obligation when I signed up. That may be true and I don't remember, but I assumed the issue was resolved. However, this week I was charged again. This is a scam of a program and I shouldn't have to work this hard to get them to stop charging my credit card monthly. I've spent thousands of dollars with CI in the past and will never use them again over this. I've lost all trust in them.
BEWARE
BEWARE. you can be opt'd into the rewards program without knowing it. They will charge you $14.95 a month for this "Reward". I realized it several months in and was told because i didn't opt out they were only able to cancel future charges and refunded only the current month.
I am very disappointed with this tactic and will switch to CigarPage from now on
Customer service is completely non…
Customer service is completely non existent recently. Based in the Philippines and they refuse to let you speak to anyone in USA. Ordered and paid for 2 day shipping 5 days ago. Ups still shows in PA, tried to talk to someone to get a resolution however the lady in Manila just pissed me off so I told her to cancel my order and refund my card. The only way the people will learn is lost business!
They sent me someone else’s order
They sent me someone else’s order, instead of my Plascencias which were 2500 for the box. Then due to their error, they placed my account on hold until the incorrect order was received back to them. The cigars were for an event which never arrived. I contacted AMEX and disputed the amount as they still had no response to when the cigars are getting released or returned my money. Never again!
Currently quite irritated with CI
Currently quite irritated with CI. Placed my umpteenth order yesterday and woke up this morning to an email telling me I need to verify my age.
Let me first start by saying I have been living in this location for a year and a half. In that year and a half, NOTHING has changed: I have paid via PayPal for YEARS, my date of birth is the same, my email address is the same, my physical address is the same. NOTHING has changed.
So I sent a pic of my DL. Wait all day for my tracking number. Nothing. Go into my account and it now says to call or email Customer Service. No email informing me I still need to contact Customer Service - just a full day delay on shipping.
So I call. The guy from whatever country you're OUTSOURCING to for calls then INSISTS I have changed my billing address. No, I have NOT - I used the same PayPal as I have since the day I started ordering from CI.
I realize you've upgraded your phone system ... but downgraded your Customer Service and shipping capabilities?!! May be rethinking my cigar supplier if this is how it's going to go from here on out. A courtesy email would have been nice, as well as someone to speak to who didn't obviously think he's superior.
Puro Perks is a scam! Watch your billing form BPA or Cigar Intl
Puro Perks is a scam. I bought some cigars from Cigar International. I noticed the next month I was charged $14.95 from BPA Sales. After checking and seen what it was, I called to cancel. Done right, nope. So, there it is again the next month. So, I send an email to puroperksatbethss.com asking again to cancel. Good, nope! Noticed again they never stopped. In June I noticed sent another email, nope August I called again, I have received an email saying it was cancelled. so we shall see. This company literally stole over $100.00 from me you think I was offered a refund, gift card, some cigars, nope, just we are sorry bye, bye now. I will never buy from them again after being a 20+ yr customer.
Cigars international has gone downhill…
Cigars international has gone downhill 109% the last decade they sell nothing but sick and diseased mold riddled cigars that they can't sell in their B&M I've known 3 firmer employees that are threatened by this company to consistently combat all yhe negative reviews with fake positive reviews their own employees are forced to write, this company don't care about their customers and co tinting to buy cigars from cigars international will eventually land you in the hospital or even worse, dead!!!
