Placed a Christmas order

Placed a Christmas order, receive the cigars that are damaged at the factory. Shipping box was perfect, cigars cut and dried out. Contacted the company and the only thing they offered for a resolution was a $10 coupon in next order with stipulations. Will never order again, quality is bad, service even worse. I wouldn’t order again from them with a 90% coupon. Total scam of a company. Probably intentionally selling damaged good, with the response I received. Buyers be ware.

What a mess!

On 12/16 I ordered cigars as a Xmas present for our son, who would be visiting us from Texas. I paid extra for 3-day delivery. They arrived on January 3, well after he had left. I called after Xmas and requested they be delivered instead to him in Texas. The agent promised that the would but that didn't happen -- they were sent here to Florida. They seem to be a disorganized mess.

I went in to get cigars

I went in to get cigars, like I always do spend over a $1000 a year on cigars. They refuse to give me the veteran discount. Because I got the 5 packed specials, and they always did before either you honor vets, or you don't, it's not the 10%, it's the principle. Very upsetting

New NAZI canard!!! WTF?!?

Usually been adequate, but today they sent us spam for the most racist, NAZI-PEDOPHILE, hate-group trash cigars possible.

So many reputable places To order from that don’t sell nazi trash to order from.
We won’t ever be back and will Encourage our cigar club to follow suit as well.

Just disgusting.

Puro Perks Membership fraud!

I looked at my credit card statement for this month and found a charge for $15.58 from Cigars International. It was for something called Puro Perks Membership. I never signed up for anything like that. After a brief argument with their representative, that "Said" they will refund me the amount. I will never buy from them again!

Cigars not fully cured and need months in humidor before they are ready to enjoy.

My problem with CI and most other companies is that the cigars I receive need a lot of time to cure in the humidor before they are ready to enjoy. All have that 'barn yard smell' which is a sure sign that they are far from cured. I buy them to smoke them, so it's always disappointing. Compare the same cigar from CI to the same one purchased from a brick and mortar and you'll notice a vast difference. Seems like the growers push cigars out in mass volume and sell at cut price to discount companies to meet large demand. Customer service claims that cigars degrade from shipping but I do not totally believe that. I will no longer buy 5 packs or assortments as they seem to be most affected.I used to have better luck when buying boxes but even that doesn't hold true anymore. Yes, I pay more at the brick and mortar shops but at least I'm getting a fine ready to smoke cigar.

Poor and Dishonest Customer Service

I orders a box of cigars using a promo code that appeared to work but after checkout I noticed it didn't and I immediately cancelled the order. They told me it already shipped (improbable) but that they would refund the order and send me a free return shipping label. I countered that the discount amount was less than the return shipping and would save me the hassle of having to return the cigars but they insisted they could not. I told that they would be losing a good customer over this. They didn't care.

...and as if that wasn't bad enough, upon checking my CC statement I discovered they did not refund the full amount as promised and deducted over $8 from my refund.

I ordered on the 15th of October

I ordered on the 15th of October. As of today he 24th, my order was still in process. Agent told me I hadn’t verified my age on my guest account. I had logged in to my regular account. The agent was accusatory and argued with me, insisting I had no account. Very bad experience. Cancelled my order.

Total fraud, DO NOT BUY!!

Dont believe the positive reviews, those are probably employees trying to save a garbage business. Worst site on the internet, by FAR. Terrible everything. No customer service, terrible sale software, old, damaged product, and scams you have to uncheck if you see them. Amazing that the scandanavian tobacco group allows these frauds to run their sites, you know, with the upcoming fines theyll accumulate from the illegal practices they commit. No tracking numbers provided, and if you ask, they stop selling to you. I ordered something after a terrible experience with pipesandcigars(same owner, same terrible employees), they wouldnt complete my order on CI because Id asked for tracking on another site that i never received, AND they charged money to cancel my order they werent going to fulfill anyway. Thats fraud, folks, plain and simple. The feds are going to have fun with this bunch.

I have canceled my subscription several…

I have canceled my subscription several times. I even took my charge cards off the website, yet I’m still getting charged. When I logged into my account, the website said there was no card on file. I am going to have to close my charge card and get a new one. If you don’t want to deal with this hassle do not order a subscription!

Ci international has good offers…

Ci international has good offers unfortunately there order process,customer service and especially there tracking is really horrible. If you don't mind waiting weeks with absolutely no tracking. And whatever you do don't even bother calling customer service they are absolutely no help. Very disappointed i recommend finding another source for you cigar purchases dealing with them will drive you crazy

Cigars arrive ok

Cigars arrive ok. Freebies are cheap. Coupons or discounts always have a hidden catch to them and when call and ask your selection doesn't apply. So I average 400 a month and one time out of 5 this yr did a coupon for higher purchase actually work. So I will be back to cigarking and cbid.

You only hear when something is wrong...

There's an old adage that says "You only hear when something's wrong". In the case of Cigars International I believe that this may apply. They have hundreds of workers and get thousands of orders. When you look up reviews they have more than any other online cigar store and people usually don't say anything unless something is wrong. This makes review sites untrustworthy as you will only find a concentration of negativity! Perhaps more people should report when things go right and a truer evaluation could be found, so I am. I ordered cigars from them having been on a decade long hiatus from my original store of choice, Thompson, who is closing. I got my cigars in five days and they are all perfect, resilient, well packaged, exactly what I ordered. They included coupon cards, a catalog, some fluff. I did notice a subscription to a magazine upon checkout, which I made sure was left unchecked as it had nothing to do with cigars. I don't like automated help systems but they do have a phone number and claim that you can get in touch with an actual worker. I have no complaints so far!

Order perpetually Processing

Placed an order and four days later it's still processing. They took my money though! The items I ordered were all in stock at the time so I don't know what the problem is. What's worse is I called customer service only to find they've obviously farmed that department out to India I assume. Really a shame because over the years I've spent thousands at CI and now I'm afraid I'm done. The customer service farm out is too much for me.

Will sell your address to 3rd party companies

I was happy with the cigars and service BUT one big item turned me right off and makes me think I'll order elsewhere.

I started getting magazines from Bazzar and Vogue. After filing a BBB complaint it was discovered that CI had passed my address to a company called bPerx who than passed it to a company called Subco, a publishing clearing house. Though BBB informed I was not charged for the magazines it was unsettling as to all appearances it appeared as someone had subscribed me and used my credit info for the subscriptions. I consider it an unethical practice CI to distribute my address in this manner to 3rd party companies. This is no way for a company to build trust or a dedicated customer base.

Total scam.

Total scam.. They cancelled my order because they "couldn't verify my address" (same address used to order hundreds of things online for last 10 years and nearly every single day)
THEN THEY CHARGED BY CREDIT CARD ANYWAY

Hey CI customers BEWARE!!!
Hey CI customers! Just a heads up to beware of CI signing you up for memberships without your knowledge. I was signed up for their PURO PERKS membership and charged $14.95/month .. I went back to check and was charged back in 2022 two times for the same. The service rep explained he canceled the most recent and I would be contacted by customer service rep by email. BEWARE OF POOR BUSINESS PRACTICES!!! I believe when you order there is box to UNCHECK to not sign up.. if you miss it and you will the charges start coming!! Its a shame as I recommend to my golf club members and friends all the time.. now that will have to change!!

A company with no process and no…

A company with no process and no standards.

After a box of cigars I ordered was sent back to them from the post office for an incorrect address CI never contacted me.

They never answered my customer service requests even when I attached my questions to another order. The second order they actually accepted and then cancelled saying the cigars were out of stock.

The first order that was sent back... well they just put those cigars back up for sale, kept the money they charged me and I suppose was just going to keep doing that until I stepped in 3 weeks later.

My first attempt at dealing with a human customer service rep had a young twerpy voice barking at me like I was in the wrong. My second person Phil was decent person but even talented people stuck in crap still smell like poo.

They're not going down hill, they're already in the gutter. The other reviews should confirm the same. With as many other fish in the sea as there are, your pole is better off in someone Elses pond. CI stinks, the water is murky and the fish are polluted.
