I messaged my Circle Of Style stylist…
I messaged my Circle Of Style stylist on WhatsApp this morning. I had an invite to a black tie function that was a bit out of my comfort zone in terms of outfits so I thought they'd be up for the challenge. I wanted cheap, beautiful, stylish and most importantly, something to suit my post partum body that I am very self conscious about. I thought it would take days, at best or even weeks. I thought wrong. Within a few hours I was happily scrolling through all the amazing dresses selected for me. They were gorgeous!! I asked for something less fitted and within minutes I was presented with THE DRESS!! It's handmade so a complete one off AND within my budget AND, it has pockets! I'm thrilled!! What a fab experience!

Poor products, poor customer service…
Ordered a dress which arrived badly damaged. The lining was ripped away from the zip and the damage was such that I couldn’t even try the dress on as it would damage it further. No returns information was included in the packaging so I had to contact customer services.
It took 3 days to get a response which was that as the seller had listed the item as in “okay’ condition they wouldn’t accept it back, however Circle of Style. themselves would refund the order.
In no way does “okay” equate to “unwearable” but fair enough they had agreed to refund.
I returned the item at my own expense and after confirming with Royal Mail it had been received contacted Circle of Style to ask for the refund to be processed.
I then received a terse email to say they legally had 14 days to process a refund - legally yes, but after sending a customer a ruined dress perhaps good customer service would suggest it should be refunded in a more timely fashion.
After 14 days I then had to chase again to have the refund processed. This has now happened but nothing in my bank account as apparently it takes up to a further 10 days for it to show up.
This is a nonsense, no idea what method of bank transfer they are using but I had another refund processed by a differed company on the same day & received the funds immediately so there is obviously a more efficient method out there which they could use should they so choose.
In all I have been out of pocket for the dress for over a month and am still down the cost of return postage.
It’s a shame as the idea behind it is great and I would have used them a lot if my experience had been different as I’m a big vintage shopper. As it is I will never use them again.

Ordered a dress for an event and then waited over a week with no communication other than to rate them. Only after I emailed did they then come back and say it is out of stock and will refund and I should order something else.
Not a great way to run a business.

Not for plus size people
Love the idea of this but such a shame that this only goes to a size 18, plus size people want experiences like this too and no one offers this! Did the quiz but had to stop at sizing as it did not include my size, what a let down.

Circle of style offers great choice
Circle of style offers great choice, style & value! I spent a lot of time browsing and decided on a pair of beautiful brown pony hair leopard stripe slip on sandals. I ordered and paid for them! Then started looking for items to match and ordering those!
The following day I was advised the CoS sandal order was cancelled and I would be refunded! I questioned how this happened and was given a helpful explanation that a retail supplier had most likely sold them! However I was very disappointed in this business practice, although I appreciated the honesty! I caused me inconvenience and although it’s not a serious matter it’s inconvenient and frustrating as I wanted a co-ordinated outfit for a special occasion!

Breaking data laws by continuing to send marketing emails after numerous unsubscribes and complaints to them
Per other reviewers' comments, I've had my data misused by this company.
I have now unsubscribed to the company's email marketing THREE times, once by email and again following their directions as emailed to me in January 2024 (after I complained to them). I've also repeatedly asked that my data is removed from all their systems, and yet I still receive marketing emails from them (most recently in March and then again today in May). When it happened in March, I emailed asking for a written explanation as to how this is happening from their Data Protection Officer but had no response. And then today I've received another marketing email. I've also reported them to the Information Commissioner's Office as if they can't even delete my email address, god only knows what other personal data they are holding onto without my consent.
This is such a shame as I was such a big supporter before all these issues started happening, but GDPR is a basic requirement, so it needs addressing and they just don't seem bothered at all that they are breaking the law.

This company continues to flagrantly breach GDPR.
I’ve tried unsubscribing multiple times, talked to them over email where they’ve sworn they have deleted my email and they won’t contact me again (twice), yet every few months I get an email from them and they blame being a small company/Mailchimp/a database issue etc.
I’m at a loss of what to do beyond this, it’s been years, so I’m looking into how I can report them to the ICO.
EDIT: I unsubscribed from the service and the email almost two years ago now, and you have confirmed to me multiple times that I won’t receive further emails. What’s not ‘allowed’ is keeping people’s data when they’ve asked you not to.
EDIT 2: I’ve forwarded all emails to you.
EDIT 3: have removed a bit that wasn’t relevant; response to me forwarding the emails of previous correspondence with them (after they queried the reviews with TrustPilot asking for further info) was to tell me I was sending them ‘angry emails’, and I should unsubscribe again because I shouldn’t be complaining about receiving emails if I’m emailing them. I apologise if they’re upset but I’m upset that I’m still having to deal with this after two years, only to be accused of lying and talked to like I’m stupid. I’ve unsubscribed again, hopefully it’ll stick this time.
EDIT 4: I *was* unsubscribed from your emails and have been since I cancelled my box subscription. I’ve unsubscribed from the emails repeatedly but continue to receive them. The latest email I got was welcoming me as a new subscriber. Trustpilot merged my accounts, so both reviews are now from this account. Having two Trustpilot accounts is an easily rectifiable issue; data mishandling is illegal.

I've ordered one box from Circle of Style and although my budget doesn't quite stretch to a monthly subscription, I'd definitely order from them again - they don't lock you into a minimum number of boxes, so it's great if you're like me and want to get a few bits now and again rather than getting a bunch of new pieces every month. Plus you can also browse their store and buy specific pieces you like the look of (so you're not just beholden to the whims of your stylist) and you get separate recommendation emails as well.
Of the five items they sent me, I only kept two, but even the ones I didn't like I could at least see why they'd pick them for me. It also helped me to refine my selections a bit for next time so even the returns are helpful. I was also really happy that they respected my budget, not one item was above my maximum spend limit.

I always look forward to my box arriving so much and try on everything - even if at first it isn’t something I’d choose
But somehow, despite having never met me in person, it’s like they know me better than I know myself!
The only time I send items back is when it doesn’t quite suit my body shape. But that’s rare.
I’m going to need a bigger wardrobe!

Amazing Experience
The stylists on WhatsApp are amazing! I went to order a jumper that was suggested for me only to find it had sold, I messaged saying if another one comes up please let me know. The next day I had a message saying they had sourced another one for me, I was so impressed with the level of customer service and attention to detail. The pieces I’ve bought so far have all been fantastic quality. Highly recommend!

The items I received were great quality and value but unfortunately did not fit me. The returns process was very easy, friendly customer service throughout and quick professionals replies from Lily. There was a misunderstanding from my side with my refund as I checked the wrong bank account and they were very understanding. I will definitely be using them again.
