I did not like this website, such a pain to deal with, slow, and outdated format. So much you have to do to get a citation, compared to others where you can just paste a website URL and it does it for you. Overall, poor user experience.

This is the crappiest citation website I have ever used. It started out good, but then when I had to complete an assessment task and paste in a bibliography, my citation was locked behind a paywall. Not only could I not edit it, I couldn't even read it. Now I have to rewrite the bibliography and backtrack and hope I have the correct websites.

I was using this site to make citations for an assessment that's due today. I was trying to access my links so that I could check which websites I had been to so I could use them from more information. Instead, I now have to pay around £8 (including tax!!) just to view them and move them elsewhere so I don't have to use this godforsaken money-hungry website anymore! This is the most scummy way to try and get money from your users. I won't ever be using this service again. Enjoy your 8 bucks.

Initially Cite This For Me gave me 15 free citations and plagiarism checking, however, after 1 month's use, I was blocked and made to go to Chegg, (which I'm assuming is the sister rip off site), to create an account and pay; all fine and dandy, and I don't mind paying for the service, however, now I was being charged by 2 sites, and every couple of days they were requesting payments that I had already made! Getting hold of them took forever, including the online chat, and the attitude I was given, just to get my money back that they had unfairly taken, was horrendous! In the end I had to block them from my card, and no longer use them, I now use MyBib; I'm doing a Business Management degree, and shocked to say that nothing that I'm learning actually equates to how businesses are being run nowadays! And sadly, I have to ask, is this how students are being treated and how their lives have to start? Shame on you, CITE THIS FOR ME, for creating something to cause more frustration to people!!

I've used this site for close to 10 years. It used to be free and was great, but always had to make some manual adjustments. Now its bombarded with ads if you're a free user, or you pay $10/month for the same thing that used to be free, only to STILL have to make manual adjustments.

It used to be free and it was an OK citation help for that price, used it throughout my bachelors AND masters. However, it has always had issues with its citations and information garthering where manual fixes constantly had been done. Now, you still have to do the manual fixes but for $9.99 a month instead of $0

I've used citethisforme for the past 6 years while obtaining my BA and 1st yr MA... its quick and easy.. used to be.. now they are charging 9.99/month? everybody gotta get a piece of the pie I guess but dang, what greedy bas**rds. Super disappointed from a long-term user. Not cool. Forcing everyone to shift to chatgpt lol

used throughout my entire degree, now they only do harvard citations for free and you have to pay for APA. ridiculous

Rubbish. Started off okay then the night before my assignment is due, when I wanted to copy over my citations list I was blocked from viewing it and asked to pay £8.99 a month to access them again. Absolutely poor from them

ALWAYS coming up with errors on the last step of generating the citing, even for us premium (paid) users...

I have advised them of this over 5 times and still not capable of fixing the errors, so now have cancelled my subscription.

Such an incompetent company!

Honestly I have no issues with the cites they generate, I use the free version without adblocker, HOWEVER the site is just so unbelievably slow now it’s almost impossible to use. It makes my entire browser slow I might as well just do them myself.

I used to be a premium user of Cite This For Me and initially found it a good service. However, my recent experiences have been extremely frustrating, leading me to advise others to avoid this service.

The site has been prompting me to log in frequently, disrupting my workflow. Today, I encountered a significant issue where all my saved citations were lost. This is unacceptable, especially for a service I once trusted and relied upon.

I even tried disabling my ad blocker, hoping it would improve the service. Unfortunately, this only resulted in the site being plastered with ads without any improvement in functionality.

It seems like the quality of the service has drastically declined. I speculate this might be due to potential layoffs of engineers, leaving the site to operate in a sort of "auto-mode" without proper maintenance.

Overall, my experience with Cite This For Me has been highly disappointing. I strongly recommend using a more reputable and reliable citation service.

Poor quality given that it's a paid service. Too many times it has not recognised ISBNs or DOIs. Also the recent interface update made it more frustrating to use.

I have 0 add blockers, tried multiple browsers, incognito mode, still being asked to turn off ad blockers, literally unusable site. Not worth wasting time on. Either be honest about having a paywall or delete your website

Reference formats are just plain wrong and there is no way to edit this until you have copied the bibliography into word. Having to manually type author names not only into the original citation but again into word after CTFM removes them from the bibliography is ridiculous! ALL AUTHORS SHOULD BE LISTED IN THE BIBLIOGRAPHY CITATION FOR HARVARD REFS!!! You cannot just et al., in both the text and bib. This is now a waste of my time and money.

In the middle of a pretty intense deadline which is due in the next week. I log into my account and find my whole reference list frozen up, inaccessible. I'm lucky I had my references elsewhere, but seriously, don't use this site!

Insane thing is that this isn't spoken about anywhere but trustpilot. You search something on Google and nothing comes up.

Don't use CT4M. It's awful.

Terrible. Attempted to use the free version - did three citations - all of a sudden froze and asking me to pay >£8/ per month indefinitely - cancellation required. Now wont even let me see the ones that I have done - not even to view them.

It is a very dodgy site
I've been using them since Jen 2019
and since they merged with that Chegg website
all my citation history (My citation lists)
stored within my account were erased,
without even being notified prior
And now I want to cancel my subscription.
but the only way is trough Chegg, because
they manage the subscriptions now
BUT UNFORTUNATELY THEY DO NOT
ACKNOWLEDGE THE EXISTENCE
OF MY SUBSCRIPTION, SO I CAN NOT CANCEL
Had to do it from my PayPall account, but
dont know if this is going to be enough
WOULD NOT RECOMEND TO GET INVOLVED WITH THEM

Terrible, i highly dissuade you from using this service, highly predatory premium service, server side login issues with cheggs. and constant issues with reference format been incorrect. trash.
