I've been learning Hebrew with Citizen Café for six months now, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience! The teaching method is simply outstanding—it makes learning such a challenging language feel natural and fun. The progress I've made is beyond what I imagined, and it’s all thanks to the amazing teachers, the incredible energy, and the fantastic community of students.
So why is Citizen Café so special? Because learning here is pure joy! That’s the secret.

Citizen Cafe has made learning Hebrew a fun, practical, engaging and memorable experience. I have so much love for my amazing teachers, my classmates and the whole Citizen Cafe community as a whole. Teachers are increidbly welcoming and foster safe learning environments were taking risks and growing is comfortable. Also, acces to additional practice groups and group allows for plenty of opportunities to practice using the language. What impressed me the most is how incredibly effective the Citizen Cafe Method is. When they tell you you will be speaking Hebrew from Day 1, they aren't lying! Even in the early levels, I felt comfortable using the Hebrew I had learned in real life situations. Looking back, I am amazed that even though I had such limited vocabulary, I was able to apply the little I had so effectively in real life situations. I can't recommend this program enough. Do you want to learn Hebrew? What are you waiting for!

I am in my fifth semester with Citizen Cafe. I've been really impressed by how far my Hebrew has come in a little over a year, and so are all the Israelis I meet when I start speaking with them. I've had some amazing teachers. They really do make it fun. I was lucky enough to have Noga for 3 semesters and she really made the classes feel like a community. The format feels silly at first and is hard to get used to, and it does move fast, but it works. I love how the zoom format lets you talk all through class and practice consistently. No one will let you fail if you trust the method. If you do a few minutes of work with the flashcards every day, you'll progress quickly. It's expensive, but I'm getting what I paid for. I'm impressed with the resources and that the method works.

I love Citizen Cafe!!! This is my fourth semester at Citizen Cafe and my Hebrew has come so far. Not only does their method work, but they make it fun, too! Even after a long work day, I’m always excited to go to class at Citizen Cafe. All the teachers I’ve had (Yuval H., Noga R., Ofek C., and Romy G.) have been kind, engaging, and energetic. By speaking so much in class, they’ve also helped me to build my confidence speaking Hebrew, even when I make mistakes or don’t know all the words. I’m so grateful to have found Citizen Cafe and feel confident that with more time and practice, I’m well on my way to fluency in Hebrew!

I love the lessons from Citizen Cafe teachers. There are many choices for class times. Great learning environment and vibe. Lessons are always on time. We get to practice conversational Hebrew. The teachers are very encouraging and friendly. Perfect choice to learn Hebrew.

I am an Israeli American Physician that practices medicine in both country. I have taken three different Hebrew courses. One was in Israel ( Ulpan for beginners that was geared for Russians). This was given once a week at night. I found it quite difficult. The second was just before the war broke out. It was run by IAC. This was given once weekly for about an hour. The teacher was great but the course was okay. This course with Cafe Tel Aviv has been over all the best. All of the individuals that I have been dealing with have been overall excellent. My teacher, Chen, gets up very early in the morning Israel time to teach us for over 90 minutes without a break. She teaches us with kindness and pushes us gently. I have learned so much in just 8 lessons. The student can review all the courses online, use flash cards already set up and use their practice to go. It has been a great course. I already paid in full for the 30 weeks to learn. I even reached out to the owner and that individual responded. It is kind of pricey however you get so much for the money if you study and take advantage of what they offer.

I am 3 weeks into my 6th semester at the lime green level. Loving my CC experience for several reasons:
1-After many years in/out synagogues and Hebrew school am finally learning how to converse
2- Class keeps me laser sharp focussed for 90 Minutes non stop. Who can claim to achieve this mastery in a world of distraction
3-this is brain gym’s finest hour keeping me on my toes!

Citizen's Cafe is a wonderful way to learn Hebrew....they really care about their students

I loved every moment of my lessons and practices. My teacher was patient and accepting of my not so perfect Hebrew. I would recommend Citizen Cafe Tel Aviv to anyone who wants to learn like a real Israeli! Can’t wait for next semester.

An engaging and warm class environment. Repetition and instinct based learning. Tons of offline support through a dedicated portal to review classes and do exercises. They are great and caring!

I love Citizen Cafe. I think it's the best program and platform to learn Hebrew remotely. The teachers are first rate: enthusiastic & upbeat, always encouraging students to speak freely without fear of making mistakes. The class size is small (10-12 students), allowing for high interactions. This is my third semester with Citizen Cafe, & I already signed up for the next semester. Their website is excellent: it has flashcards, self-quizzes, & one can practice & review lessons 365/24/7. In addition the program has Practice Groups on Zoom run by tutors. I highly recommend Citizen Cafe.

This is a great place to learn how to speak and understand Hebrew. I began studying at Citizen Cafe three years ago and I am still with them. The format of the classes are specifically geared to speaking Hebrew and the spoken language rather than learning the grammar. The class size (10-12 people) allows you ample time to practice and speak and and the method used pushes you to speak all the time. I study on line which allows for meeting people from different countries and of different ages, which adds to the interest and fun. The school also offers additional practice sessions which are very helpful Altogether a great and very pleasurable experience.

Incredible. Learned Hebrew fast and effectively. Hebrew that can be spoken from the first class. Slang and all. It’s amazing.

Very attentive teachers, very organized curriculum, super responsive, and most importantly SUPER EFFECTIVE. In only a few months I feel more confident and able to speak Hebrew with Israelis.

For several years I've been meaning to learn conversational Hebrew, and finally decided to Just Do It. I found CitizensCafe after doing research online, and I'm so happy I did. This is a great program. I love my teacher, Achi. Hebrew does not roll off my tongue easily, and Achi is so patient with all of us. We have fun learning with each other. I really appreciate all the resources you provide, to help us with our Hebrew learning. Great program!!

I have loved my classes, and the teachers are fun and encouraging. I do need extra help with reading and writing, but when it comes to speaking and listening comprehension the live Zoom classes are so helpful. Thank you for making learning Hebrew fun!

Love learning Hebrew at citizen academy. They make the lessons fun, it’s a global group of students and even though it’s always on zoom you become a small community of avid Israel lovers and Hebrew learners!

I love my teacher Neta and I love the Citizen Cafe ❤️ environment. It gives you a knowledge boost as well as confidence you will succeed to use your hebrew, it mooves you from passive knowledge to active communication! I tried the method and made progress just at the right time when discouraged to continue learning for slow speed at ulpan... Citizen Café Tel Aviv is, without a doubt, the best place to learn Hebrew that I have ever seen. From the moment I started, I felt welcomed and supported in a way that truly made a difference in my learning journey.

The teachers are absolutely amazing—kind, patient, and incredibly skilled. They create a warm and encouraging environment where every student feels comfortable and motivated to improve. Their teaching method makes learning Hebrew feel natural and enjoyable, even for those who might struggle with languages.

One of the things I loved the most was being in the classroom with my colleagues. The atmosphere was always friendly and engaging, making every lesson something to look forward to. Learning together with such a great group of people made the whole experience even more special.
