They took my order on Friday the 20th of March 2020 which the deposit was paid and the balance was taken on a loan with Omni Capital Retail Finance, even had the cheek to give me NHS discount. As a frontline worker I've had enough stress to deal with then I get a letter from the liquidators on the 6th of April! They knew they were on the brink of insolvency when they took my order and my money! I managed to cancel my order with the liquidators and get my deposit back as that was through my credit card but Omni Capital Retail Finance are now hounding me for the loan amount and threatening me with court action and debt collectors! I will obviously not receive my goods or service but Omni Capital Retail Finance don't give a damn as they mis sold me the agreement not stating that I was liable for the full amount even if I don't receive the goods! Hiding under the clause of 'unregulated' loan. Has anyone else found themselves in this situation?

Like a lot of you, paid £450 deposit, for shutters. I believe we were 7-10 days from fitting when they closed. Getting nowhere with the liquidators. It's now belief the original company has passed it on to another liquidators. Has anyone else had any joy getting money back for undelivered goods?

I have been contacted by the administrator, who has given me an option to wait two weeks TIL they see who’s blinds are ready and if they can get fitted. Also given option for to start process of claiming money back. I have chosen to wait and see if blinds have been made as I honestly believe it is hard for companies to keep there heads above water at this time and don’t believe they are trying to rob us, just horrible situation we are in.

Ordered blinds on 23rd March paid £500 deposit. Hope someone does the decent thing and gets in touch with me and all other customers.

Can u contact myself Mrs Taylor I placed an order on Tuesday 12 March and my blinds are supposedly ready. They are no good for anyone in liquidation. My son and partner Ms Rhiannon Jones also ordered from you at the same appointment and gave a deposit. Theirs was ready last week. We are willing to pick them up.

Where does this leave us the customer who paid half the money upfront and took the remaining with the finance company??

Would give Zero stars but no option , l ordered on the 6th jan , paid my deposit and direct debits since only to find out that the company has been put into liquidation.
Absolutely disgusting that they have no thought to their customers and more so the staff they left with nothing in this already uncertain times .
I am a customer left out of pocket !
Hope they sleep easy .....NOT !!
I am just going to update this review as l done deposit and the the finance option.
The finance company today got in touch with me as l cancelled a DD ( which l spoke to them about the day this news broke ) that was due as l had no product l think this is quite fair why would l continue to pay For something l had not received and at this point in time unsure if l ever will get my shutters ! However they are saying I AM in breach of contract !!!! ME ? I would be more than happy to pay for the product if l was getting it . It is disgusting the way the customer is being treated !!

Absolutely disgusting leaving your staff and customers with nothing.

Danny came to my house fri 13march.... he quoted me 3800 and discounted down to 2700 for blinds and shutters..... off he went with my £1350 deposit knowing fine well i wouldnt be seeing my order as they were about to put the company into liquidation.... DISGRACEFULL. In reply to your reply..... WHERES MY BLINDS THEN THAT ARE APPARENTLY IN YOUR WAREHOUSE????

Just gone into liquidation leaving staff with no pay and customers with no product!!!!!!!!!

My daughter is a single parent of two and about to have a baby in two weeks she paid over four hundred pound she saved up for they blinds two weeks ago only to be told the company's in liquidation she's stressed about to have this baby and doesn't need all this in her life is there anyone else on here that's been ripped off by these people this is going further they aren't getting away with this the phone is off how convenient so have to go to the papers next stop I am disgusted with this.

Just had our blinds fitted today by Danny who was fantastic came in and washed his hands and had shoe protectors on his feet which was great had blinds fitted in no time at all then wished us well , fantastic service from him and city blinds

Fantastic company to deal with. From the measuring with Bryan to the perfect fitting with Pat. Great customer service from start to finish. Would highly recommend City Blinds & Shutters and will certainly use them again in the future.

Can’t thank city blinds and shutter enough! We had Kevin out to measure our patio door windows and give us a quote. He never pressured us to go with them, he was nothing but friendly and polite. Pat then cane to fit our blinds. He was friendly and done a great job! What a difference they are to previous blinds! Highly recommend city blinds and shutters for there quick, helpful and friendly service !!

Service beginning to end has been absolutely fantastic from Danielle in reception and sales who looked after my dog while I chose blinds, to Danny who fitted my full house with stunning blinds in super quick time, checking I was happy with each room, really impressed and will recommend.
I get the impression that it’s a great place to work

Absolute fantastic service from Pat & Ronnie! Moved into my new house this week, ordered the blinds and they were ready within less than a week. Ronnie was lovely explained everything done perfect measurements, took his shoes off without being asked when going upstairs. Pat done the same, very professional. Blinds were up so quite, he even took down a curtain pole for me that he didn’t have to. Was kind and respectful done amazing job fitting the blinds, very talkative, took all his rubbish away with him and showed me how to work the blinds before he left! Would most definitely recommend! Also Lisa I spoke to online whilst arranging for Ronnie to come and measure my blinds was so helpful and kind and quick replies!
