Victor wouldn't give me my car back until I paid twice...$280 for 1.5 days

Employee involved: Victor
I understand every garage is different, but the garage at 235 W. 48th St. in New York City was a particularly frustrating experience. Victor was clearly upset that I had lost my ticket and told me I had to pay him a $10 cash fine. When I asked him to show me the company policy for this fee, he called me stupid and became very agitated by my question.
Long story short, he rang me up, thinking I would pay the $10 in cash. Instead, I just paid for the parking with my tap card. When I asked him again for the policy on the $10 cash fee, he wrote up my car again. When my car was brought down for me, the valet driver asked Victor if I had paid yet, and Victor said no. When I showed Victor that my bank account had already been charged by him, he told me to call my bank. After I did and confirmed that my account had been charged, he insisted I was wrong, stating that "the ticket never lies."
To get my car back, I had to pay $154 on top of the $134 I had originally paid. I didn't want to sit there and hassle with the guy, so I paid the additional charge. Once I got my car and keys, I immediately began trying to reach out to customer service, but so far, that's not looking very promising.
I understand that an experience like this only happens once in a while, and no one should be treated the way I was. I'm not saying you should avoid this garage, but this company needs to have a better customer service focus. I was charged $280 for one and a half days and was left with a horrible experience.

Held our car hostage

We parked our car here yesterday and attempted to take it out today. It was before our check out date but we thought it would be fine because we had taken it out before with no issues. Our intention was to bring the car back afterwards. They said we couldn’t because we had already taken it out once and we just couldn’t have our car until tomorrow. They never warned us when we took it out the first time. They said we had to pay another $75 to take our car out. We then asked if we could just fully take our car out and they said no, effectively holding our car for ransom for $75. After an argument in which they were incredibly inflexible, we ended up paying the extra $75. I usually don’t leave bad reviews, as I’m not that type of person, but this crossed the line. I don’t think they were being crooks, but they were being incredibly inflexible.
