Requested this company updates regarding the progress of the claim they are (were) handling on my behalf, since August 2022. Corresponded in March and June 2023, May 2025. No reply to any of my contacts.
It has now been three years since they last corresponded to ask for specific details. The lack of communication is concerning and it would be reasonable to expect updates on the status and/or any relevant developments related to the claim.
Today, I have corresponded once more and received an undeliverable message "Your message couldn't be delivered. The Domain Name System (DNS) reported that the recipient's domain does not exist."
This is unacceptable and disappointing.
If I could I would give "0" instead of "1".

Been trying to get a reply since August of last year but no responce. Be advised never use this company .They keep asking for payment to my ill father whom I now look after his financial affairs but won't send a copy of agreement/signed contract. Now threatening legal action from there small office with many departments just look at their company records it will tell you what you need to know
They take 40% of your money plus VAT
They take 40% of your money plus VAT. This is unjustified amount of money. Complete rip off. Avoid please.
Professional Rip Off
I applied to claim tax rebate with this company they took 65% of my rebate even though they specify 35% plus £50 Admin fee why I don't know since I completed all the forms plus VAT. If you decide to claim tax its best you do it yourself with the help of HMRC they are very helpful and you get 10p% of your rebate. My rebate was nothing to do with the marriage claim yet they still took most of my money. What makes it frustrating is that they ignore my calls messages and emails.

I have also applied tax rebate through…Claim my Tax
I have also applied tax rebate through claim my Tax limited and I am very disappointed, I would advice everyone to not use this company nor others company, I had to contact HM Revenue whom have advice me not to use any company but do tax reclaim myself as there are lots of complain against this fraudulent companies whom are quick to cash the money but not paying the money back to the owners, I also found myself credited one lot of money to another company which I have not signed to Online tax limited which I am investigating, will check and post again in future to let you know. Please be aware, I am still waiting the money even though HMrevenue has paid them. The argument is still the same as everyone else, they ask for the bank details than you have to wait 10-14 days nothing you call them and they say they will investigate another 3-5 days. still waiting.

We found this ClaimMyTax via the BBC…
We found this ClaimMyTax via the BBC NEWS web page....... And so we applied for the marriage tax relief claim. Quick to initiall respond and followup emails.. but then upon questioning their calculations on income All has gone quiet.
Their commission rate IMO should be BOLDLY presented prior to application with examples of best and worst case scenarios showing possbile costs.
HMRC have long delays in corresponding... so expect many weeks to receive any payment after which you will need to pay from your claim amount the commission to CLAIM MY TAX..
They like many within legal field of fair play make significant proffit out of their endeavours..... So be aware.
Good client relationships are built on openness and transparency to its fullest interpretation and meaning. This is far from what the people have received over many years from many businesses.
Hopefuly I will update this missive
Following my above missive, I had a quick response from ClaimMyTax administrator Laura who questioned my posting but clarified verywell the statements and discrepancy in the emails I have recieved, after which in part I can accept.
However, in my opinion there remains areas that need addressing for the lesser Marriage Tax protocol informed.
A clear explaination in their emails as to which marital partener they refer to (husban or wife) with regards to Marrage Tax allowances.
Also in terms of principle tax payer and reaffirm the current time response from the HMRC.
Finally, I think it appropriate that the Fees charge should be set appart from any other text and Highlighted.
However, my claim has been managed and dealt with promptly which is encouraging.
We await the HMRC response.
Good luck to you all

Was contacted in August and have heard nothing since! Don’t hold out much hope of ever receiving a tax rebate from this company. Was dubious about them at the time

Buyer Beware
I was pleasantly surprised to receive a cheque from HMRC for £752.56 in respect of a tax rebate claimed on my behalf by the company "claim my tax " my euphoria was quickly dispelled however on receiving a demand for £376.08 for services rendered.
Please be aware of these punitive charges before agreeing to use the services of this 2 man band of extortionists Details of this newly formed company formally operating under the name of TJ ENTERPRISES NORTH WEST LIMITED may be found on the HMG companies House website

Was emailed 09/08/2022 to say they had received a rebate and once it was cleared we would receive our share . We chose cheque payment as not happy giving my bank details out . After a long wait the cheque arrived but upon trying to bank it the bank refused the cheque as it was written out wrongly . I immediately sent an email (no point trying to ring ) after another wait we were told they no longer send out cheques and to send bank details ..am i suspicious in thinking it was deliberately written out wrong . we sent bank details on the 30/09/2022, and we eventually received an email to say we would get our money in 5 to 10 working days .
Surprise surprise still no money in the bank so emailed again . Eventually got an answer on the 12/10/2022 to say it would be in our bank in 5 to 10 working days. What a surprise still no money it's now nearly 3 months .
I'm now going to look into my options as I feel we have been totally ripped off . Rubbish company do not use .
Edit we have now received the money owed just a shame that we had to resort to putting a bad review up before they paid it within a couple of days of the review appearing
BUNCH OF SCAMMERS -AVOID
Had a call from Goodwin Barrett so long ago I can't remember when it was putting me in touch with Claim My Tax who said they could claim the tax on a mis-sold policy by Halifax so I stupidly went for it. Months went by and eventually I had a letter stating that Claim My Tax had been paid but still no cheque from them was sent. The last time I was told to wait for up to 6 weeks for the cheque which I have done and no cheque has arrived. Tried calling them today and just on hold, no on be is answering. Wish I did the claim myself. TOTALLY BUNCH OF SCAMMERS! AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE. Where is my cheque??????
UPDATE
Got a response from Claim my Tax after months and finally got paid. Asked Laura for a 'gesture of goodwill' but was told she couldn't authorise it. I asked her to raise it with someone who could but got no reply! WOULDN'T USE THEM AGAIN AS IT IS SUPPOSEDLY EASY ENOUGH TO DO IT YOURSELF. EVEN HMRC TOLD ME THIS AFTER I HAD AUTHORISED CLAIM MY TAX.
Further Update
Claim My Tax tried to get my truthful review removed but they failed! Even more reason to AVOID!!

Having received a letter from the HMRC I waited a while but heard nothing rang customer service number they told me they do not send cheques out and you have to email your sort code and bank details which I was apprenshive about but I needn't worry its all straight forward and you'll receive your money within 24 hours special mention to Laura who was so efficient and helpful with my claim thanks again . cannot complain about receiving money
cannot complain about receiving money, however, It did take longer than expected, and communication was non existent. A little surprised that V.A.T was paid on the whole amount rather than just the fee. I was unaware the this is required on rebates?

My Experience was excellent I saw that you're there to help family thanks! May God bless you all.
Be very very careful
My elderly father naively gave this company extensive personal details thinking he was owed a tax refund (he wasn't) and within the next two weeks he suffered a torrent of spam and hoax calls, resulting in a number of fraudulent cards transactions. Eventually a hoax caller (to his ex-directory landline) convinced him to let him 'help' him with his computer and stole over £13k from his bank account, leaving just over a thousand in there. On a previous visit I had seen the correspondence with James Heys from Claim My Tax and naively wrote to him asking him to remove my father's details (at that point I thought the company might be genuine). I too have had an increase in spam calls. The hoax caller who stole my father's money was continuing to call him all last week to try to get access to more money. We don't know if we will get the £13k back and my father is now talking of suicide. To make absolutely sure I comply with Trust Pilot's terms I will leave it to readers to decide if it is just a co-incidence that this all happened after Claim My Tax took all of his information, though I would also suggest looking at their company information online and the reviews below of people waiting for months to get their 'refunds' out of them.
Update: On 2nd June I received the following email from James Heys of the company after I had informed him of my father's dementia and how any contract he had entered into was not enforceable under the Mental Capacity Act of 2005
"Good Afternoon Paul,
We have received a signed form from Peter and Valerie but I will get this all removed and get one of the staff members to call HMRC to stop the marriage rebate from going ahead, once we have called HMRC on Monday due to it being a bank holiday I will then have all there information removed from our system.
Hope this resolves it for you and also any stress it may have caused Peter & Valerie.
Have a nice bank holiday
Kind Regards
James Heys"
However my father has now received letters dated 11 July from HMRC stating that they have sent a cheque for £967.52 to MY MARRIAGE TAX and a copy of the calculation to CLAIM MY TAX LTD
I have written to the company for an explanation as to why they think this is lawful.

Can't complain about a surprise cash refund.
A tax refund of any type is always a pleasant surprise and the refund that this company obtained for me brightened my day.
