Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Considering 45 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many people were dissatisfied with the products, describing them as poor quality, made of cheap materials, and not matching the descriptions or pictures on the website. Customers also felt that the prices were too high for the quality received. Reviewers frequently encountered issues with the return policy, finding it difficult to return items, especially since many had to be sent back to China at the customer's expense, often costing more than the product itself. The website's presentation was also a point of criticism, with customers feeling that it did not accurately reflect the origin or nature of the products.

Poor quality bad sizing

I ordered according to their website my size but on receipt they are very small so order up a size.

On reporting this back i was told to pay 9.95 to cover the return and a size up. Which i felt was too much as i would never have paid over £30 for them the quality is not worth it. Also i was told to keep pair that didn’t fit not return them but no good to me if they dont fit.

Dont buy from clarkeand cooper

Be careful of similar sites, I have just seen another one on Social media!

Well, where to start this company’s site (Clark & Cooper) has now disappeared. Along no doubt with all the money they have scammed from unsuspecting customers. Me I have to say included. Lesson learned! Watch out I have seen similar sites already on social media. It seems the Chinese have found out how easy it is to scam us. Stay clear, you have been warned!!

They are indeed a scam site .Operating…

They are indeed a scam site .Operating in the UK. Avoid avoid . but if you do get stung by these creeps know that your legal rights apply to return the goods under the long distance selling act. That as UK sellers you do not accept a return to China , but instead you taker photos of the product and you return it to the listed address on the package . By definition this is a 'return address' designated by them, for which they are answerable to if supplied incorrectly . If so, it in itself constitutes an act of deception and lying to the Mail Service. An offence in itself, as it could be a bomb that was posted and would be untraceable . Contact the mail service and let them know and they will likely bring a prosecution.

Don't let scum like this get away with it . In the very near future they simply won't be able to .

Beyond bad

I would.put less than one star if I could. As everyone else has said, the quality is beyond poor. I didn't realise anything could.be made this badly. I'd rather they didn't bother sending anything at all. Do not touch this company with a barge pole.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Not even worth one star!

Not even worth one star!! AVOID, AVOID, AVOID!
Scam site, items are made in and shipped from China, not the English 'middle-class' looking company you think you're buying from.
Returns policy is a load of BS too - they offered me "an exciting alternative" of keeping the (sh!t) item and receive a 15% refund!! When I chose to not accept this laughable offer, they proceeded to outline their "updated" returns policy, which results in it costing me more than the goods are worth, with no guarantee of a refund either.

Avoid this company

If I could score the men's shoes nil I would. Shocking quality, poor fitting, thin cardboard liner, wafer thin faux leather, pvc strap which is uncomfortable and poorly assembled. Although the website looks wonderful, it is a front for YunExpress, a Chinese company bringing in inferior Chinese products.

Nothing like the picture.

I ordered 2 pairs of ankle cowboy boots, one black pair and one brown. The colour is nothing like the picture which is supposed to be a vintage worn leather look. These are a horrible cheap fabric they don't look like the picture, they don't look leather and the worse thing is the smell. They smell like someone has smoked all over them. Delivery was 2 weeks. I don't believe that they have ever sold them for over £100 as advertised. I bought them because they were in the sale but I think this was just a scam on the price. I'm now trying to get my money back. I wouldn't recommend.

Stay clear.

Stay clear.
Do not buy from this company. The goods are poor quality, brought from China and marketed as luxury and sold at inflated prices. Due to a typing error I ordered wrong size, despite informing them within minutes of goods arriving they refused to offer an exchange, due to being a bikini. Said I could keep the goods but had to spend another £12.95 for correct size. There are absolutely no size charts on the website, so had to wait for sometime for them to provide. I reordered and had to wait for goods to be shipped from China. Sizing is still not correct and measurements do not match those provided, material is even different. You can buy the same quality for half the price from Temu or Shein.I
Whilst not illegal they are selling sub standard goods as "luxury" and they are certainly not.

Do not buy from this company

Do not order shoes from Clarke and Cooper !

The company appears and sounds to be very British, very good quality and stylish- too good to be true ! The reality is that the sandals I purchased (2 pairs because I was duped into thinking the quality was up to Italian or British standards) were nothing but unwearable tat . Terrible quality and nothing like the online classy photos. They took a long time to arrive- exported from China . I was shocked when I opened the plastic bag wrapped package. I contacted customer service and surprisingly I did receive a reply with a lot of enticement and bargaining for me to keep the sandals . Realising that returning the sandals would only be at a large cost to me I opted for a 20% refund which I have received as a credit to my credit card . I am now still £40 out of pocket because the sandals are truly unwearable and not good enough to donate to charity- straight in the bun! Lesson learned. I will never order from this company or any other company advertising on social media and I would advise anyone else to steal well clear . I am speaking about their shoe department. I can not comment on any other of their products.

Don't buy from this company

Don't buy from this company, the quality of the products is appalling, nothing like the pictures shown. I could not get a refund, the documentation is minimal - I got caught in a scam saying that the company was closing so the prices were reduced - very disappointed :-(

Don’t buy from this company all goods…

Don’t buy from this company all goods come from China and are nothing like the phots of the product ordered.
They were however very good with their communication, saying they want to satisfy customers but just not accepting of their scammy deceit and you get offered a partial refund.

Zero stars is all this company deserves!

If I could give this company zero stars, I would! I hope people read these reviews before they order anything from this company. They pretend to sell 'high quality' and 'durable' goods, but the sandals I ordered were nothing of the sort. They were made of cheap plastic with hard edges that dug into my feet - not at all comfortable. Nor was the colour anything like that shown on the website. I asked for a refund, but that meant sending the sandals back to Asia at my expense - despite the company suggesting they had a shop in Manchester. This company is a total scam - don't go anywhere near it!

Scam site - do not use

As all the previous reviews mention this is a scam company. And definitely following the old adage 'If it looks too good to be true it probably is', I fell for an advert that kept popping up which showed some elegant leather sandals reduced from c.£180 to close to £30 (clearly too good to be true). I stupidly ordered three pairs which took weeks to arrive - a sure sign that they're shipping from China or thereabouts.

When they arrived they were tightly packed in plastic wrapping, not in a box as you might expect with so-called 'luxury' items. They were plastic, with strange fastenings and much too small. I complained to the company and they implied that they were sorry that the wrong item had been sent. I said no, they were just not as described or fit for purpose. They then said if I paid 'just' £12.95 I could get the items I wanted …

I'm starting to get a feel for these scam sites - the massive discounts are a red flag - but they are quite clever. Worth investigating online if you have any concerns at all.
