Quick and Easy

Lucy K was so wonderful with feet measuring for my 5 year old. Fun and knowledgeable. I booked, we were seen quickly even though it was busy and they had the shoes available that she wanted to try on.

Super helpful staff member

Felicity was really patient with me and my 5 year-old whilst trying on various pairs of school shoes, we didn’t feel rushed at all. She gave great advice too and my son was super happy with his new and very ‘shiny’ shoes! Thank you.

They can't measure feet and the staff are rude and arrogant.

They just can't measure feet right, the staff in Whiteley store are rude and I have happily purchased my children's shoes elsewhere since my last 2 visit. I will never go again.
Visit 1 - To get some new school shoes for my 5 years old, (her last Clarks pair fell apart since September on the velcro strap).
I asked them to measure her feet. She measured at 10.5, they brought out some shoes that they had in the right size, and in all cases she felt they were too big, the staff just would not budge and insisted they do fit right, in the end we bought some with the addition of insoles and heel grips, I returned them, they were definitely too big.
Honestly the behaviour of the staff towards my child at this appointment was awful, deriding her for saying the shoes did not fit etc etc

Visit 2 - Yesterday to get some shoes for my eldest (10 years old), she is a bit fussy about her shoes, wanted some Boots. The staff measured her brought out a style in 3.5 which she had measured her at.
I mentioned that 3.5 seems far too big as she is wearing new trainers in 2.5 and they fit perfectly.. She said all shops measure differently (This is mad, I am a size 6 in every shop, not a 6 in every shop and a 7 in Clarks, a shoe size SHOULD be a shoe size). Anyhow she brought out the 3.5 shoes, said they fitted well, they looked awful and my daughter felt they are too big. I asked if they had any boots. not in her measured size, do you have any in a bit smaller, we have a 2.5 but she would not recommend and in fact refused to see how they fit.
We tried them on, they fit a bit better but were not nice. We went elsewhere..

It is SUCH A SHAME that Clarks is now so bad. I have fond memories of getting school shoes at Clarks, now they cannot seem to measure and the staff are rude and arrogant.
In this case you lost around £100 of school shoe orders, but also a lifetime of us visiting your stores again. I really hope this business is shown up for what it has become.

Great school shoe fitting

Jeremy at the Whiteley branch did a great job fitting my daughter’s school shoes. He listened to her, really considered her comments on the fit and made great suggestions on the back of that. Excellent service, thanks Jeremy!

Lucy was really helpful

Lucy was really helpful. She helped my daughter find a spot on pair of trainers. Very good to know my daughter’s new shoe size. Nice relaxed ambience in the Whitely Store. Thanks again to Lucy.

Thank you to Shanna& Lucy who helped keep behind a pair of shoes for my son. The staff were so friendly and helped me when when I needed to get signal to download my Egift voucher. Really happy that NHS discount can be used again for kids shoes.
