Four stars

Customer service from click and collect was great and polite. Just deducted one star because it did take a few days (almost a week if I’m remembering correctly) for our order to be ready for pickup.

Was just served by Violet at the metro…

Was just served by Violet at the metro centre who helped us get some new shoes for our little one. Violet went above as beyond, fantastic customer service and was extremely kind and patient with our little boy. Very happy and can’t recommend her highly enough. Thank you Violet 😊

Excellent service

Thank you to Lauren at the metro centre store for helping fit some pre walkers for my little girl after having a number of issues with the original shoes I had bought from a Clark’s outlet. She was absolutely brilliant with my little girl aswel. Thank you.

Worst shoes ever had to exchange a pair…

Worst shoes ever had to exchange a pair as they were too small even though she had been sized in the shop got the exchange then got another pay for the whole front of the shoes to scrap of within 2 half days at school I mean £46 for them to scrap straight away tried to take them back to return as for this price they shouldn’t only last 2 days to be told it is wear and tear after 6 hours for the 2 days is an absolute joke would not exchange them and made me buy the black paint to go on them which was £6 so actually cost me £52 for the shoes which in my opinion was just black nail vanish and it did not work at all will not be using Clarks anymore even though I always go here for my kids shoes

Two pairs of school shoes needing to be…

Two pairs of school shoes needing to be returned as they were so ill fitting. My children were re-measured to find that I had been sold shoes that were 1 size too small for BOTH children. Despite their error, no exchange of one pair of shoes could be made as I no longer had my receipt. So im now stuck with shoes that dont fit my child! Lets hope the customer service team can redeem this brand and I've had no help from in store staff...
Very poor service (staff ill trained) and customer care.

As always great measure

As always great measure, fit and service. I visited metro centre - Clarks on 29/ 08/ 24, with my sons, to buy school shoes for the new term. The young man, who I think was called Harry, was of great help. Five star service. Thank you.

Back to School Shoes...was a breeze at the MetroCentre

The service we received at one of the busiest times of year was amazing from the MetroCentre Store. In part to the running of the booking services but also the staff in the store. I have been to Clarks for years with the kids for school shoes but it has been the least stressful and most positive experience we've had to date. Thank you to the staff in store

I have lost all faith in Clarks

I have lost all faith in Clarks. Went in 1 week and son measured 13.5F and daughter 10F. Went back next week to have online shoe order fitted and all shoes did not fit and were too big. Got kids remeasured and now son 13G but 13G shoes too wide and recommended 13F school shoe (return 13.5F) but in trainer needs a 12G so full size smaller! What’s the point in sizing if they are full size different depending on the style?! Did not expect this from Clarks.

Clarks Metro Centre - Tyra

Upon entering the store today and seeing how busy it was, I thought I had more chance of winning the lottery than getting my autistic three year old measured and fitted with a pair of shoes. We tried Clarks in Newcastle last week and it was hell, through no fault of the girl trying to measure his feet, he had a meltdown and we had to leave without shoes. However, we booked another appointment for today and had to at least try again. The girl who served us, named Tyra, sensed that he was about to go into meltdown due to how busy the shop was. She said ‘If he is overwhelmed, I can measure him in a quiet area out the back’. We have never been offered this before and it was such a welcome relief. He was then calm and allowed Tyra to measure his feet and fit him with some new shoes. He isn’t good at waiting in any situation and Tyra either again sensed this or always works at lightning speed. Both of which deserve recognition! He was measured and fitted in record timing with no tears! I feel that Tyra went above and beyond today and I hope this review informs the relevant people so they know how good she is. The great service we received today didn’t stop there, amongst the chaos of an extremely busy shop, Jude on the till took the time to help me find out the name of our server. I think the service we received today was outstanding and I hope this becomes common practice in all Clarks shops to make feet measuring and shoe fitting easier for those who need it. Thank you Tyra!

Autism awareness

We left school shoe shopping until 2 weeks before school starts (thinking it wouldnt be that busy, how wrong i was). My son has Autism, and does not handle busy places very well. Tyra Coulson was amazing with me and my son, he wasn’t handling the busy atmosphere very well but Tyra kept calm and was very patient with him when measuring his feet. However, my son just wasnt having any of it. Which lead to myself breaking down too, as it was an overstimulating environment for a child with autism. Tyra was able to take us to a quiet back room, to finish my son’s fitting which he calmed down immediately and myself also. We got the perfect fit, and my son was able to get his first pair of school shoes! The staff were amazing and accommodating, i cant say thanks enough. I walked in stressed knowing what was about to go down, but we left with smiles and shoes!

Great experience at Clarks

Great experience at Clarks in the Metrocentre, Gateshead.

The ever so friendly team looked after the full family from the moment we walked into the shop. We interacted with five team members in total, each smiling and great with the kids! Specific shout out to Ismayel for sharing his expert opinion for all the different pairs of shoes we tried on. Leanna also processed our returns and our three new purchases, she was fab too!

We'll be back again in the future, when the kids run their new shoes into the ground. That said, it won't be anytime soon, as the product quality speaks for itself.
