in store ordering hopeless as is online customer support

Found a pair of trainers in shop but they only had one pair and the shoes were different colours. The shop ordered them in & I asked for delivery to shop. 8 days later no sign of shoes. After trying their chat bot & email with no success had to go back to the shop where it was discovered the warehouse hadn't delivered them to the shop - order shown as permanently"processing". Not shop staff's fault but I now have to wait 10 days to get my money back. Unlikely to order again.

I ordered some shoes on December 16th…

I ordered some shoes on December 16th 2025 from your Kingston shop. I waited for the delivery until January 6th.
I emailed you and I was told that the shoes had been lost in transit and that a refund would be sent. I emailed on January 19th to say I had not received the refund. It is now January 28th, still no refund! Your online delivery and customer services need to be scrutinised for efficiency. Clarks……a reputable company…..no longer do I think so! Over to you to repair the damage!

Clark boys school shoes

We got shoes for a high price and not even 3 months of my son wearing it , the sole ripped and the shoes were very uncomfortable and bad quality, 5063090884528

I visited your Kingston store this…

I visited your Kingston store this morning to return my son’s school shoes, which have already come apart after just six days of wear. Frankly, this is incredibly disappointing—especially from a leading retailer of children’s school shoes, where quality and durability should be a given.

What was even more concerning was being told that my only option was to exchange the shoes for the exact same size and style. I was informed that a refund was not possible, which I believe goes against my consumer rights, given that these are clearly faulty goods. The shoes were purchased on 18th August and have only been worn for six school days.

Adding to the frustration, I was told I couldn’t even exchange the shoes for a different style unless my son was present for a fitting—despite explaining he was at school. This inflexibility made the situation unnecessarily difficult.

It took considerable back-and-forth with the store manager before we could reach a resolution. The entire experience felt needlessly complicated and disappointing, especially from a well-established high street brand that many parents rely on for back-to-school footwear.

I hope you will review this policy and approach, as I believe customers deserve a more reasonable and supportive service—particularly when returning faulty goods.

gorgeous stylish shoes and so comfortable!

It is always a pleasure to shop in this store - the staff are lovely and so helpful.
My shoes look fantastic - stylish and I will wear them to work and out and about. Great for everyday and in the evenings. They are the epitome of style and comfort combined. Well done Clarks - a sure winner!

Yesterday I spent around 45 minutes in the Kingston store, looking for a new pair of shoes. I was looking for comfortable dress shoes and was struggling to find something that met all my criteria. Luckily, David introduced himself and begun to talk through some options. I was most impressed by his patience, product knowledge and absolute spot on customer service approach. I would go as far as to say this was the best service I’ve ever received in any shop in the UK. So a big thank you to David, you made my day!

The manager in this Branch is a complete Thug

I had taken delivery on 23 /11/14 of a pair of Badell Easy Black Hi Shine Leather shoes from the Kingston upon Thames Branch. I had purchased the shoe online online. I had used the shoes for short walks for 2 days around the area that I live in . Within that short time the heel had worn out by half a centimetre. Apart from this the show was uncomfortable. I took the shoes back to the Kingston Branch on 29/11/24 between 11.30am -12.30 PM to return it as the heel of the shoe was defective as it was wearing out so quickly. The manager The manager refused to take it back on the grounds that I had worn the shoe outside the house. How would I know that shoe was defective if I did not wear it.. He felt that it was perfectly within normal for the heel to wear out half a cm within 7 days. He also refused to give his refusal in writing. I have not seen such thuggish behaviour by a large retailer in UK in my life. To add insult to injury , he offered me a discount
if I purchased ANOTHER shoe but would not take back the defective shoe !!I I WOULD DISCOURAGE FOLK IN AND AROUND KINGSTON UPON THAMES TO BE AWARE OF THE LIKELY TREATMENT THEY ARE LIKELY TO RECIEVE AT THE FROM THIS MANEGER if they were ever to end up with a defective productive. I note that tis particular show has now had price reduced from £110 to £77 . Clearly Clarks is aware that the shoe is defective. BUYER BEWARE !!

Poor quality

Poor quality. I have been a customer of Clarks for 17 years for school shoes. The most recent pair have the sole coming away after 3 weeks. Had to return. Hard refund process. Clarks needs to be a reliable and consistent provider of school shoes.
