We recently booked the 3-day Cairo and 7-day Nile Cruise package with Classic Holidays, and it turned out to be an unforgettable experience. From the moment we landed, everything, e.g. the airport pickups, hotel transfers, etc. was seamlessly arranged.

For our accommodation in Cairo, we were offered several 5-star hotels and opted for one near the city center. The agency recommended Sheraton, and it was a fantastic choice, with all major tourist attractions less than 30 minutes away. The hotel facilities were exceptional, especially the gym. Food options were abundant both at and outside the hotel. We appreciated being able to order food from delivery apps. On one occasion, when our delivery was delayed, the hotel staff went above and beyond to contact the restaurant for us.

The Royal Princess cruise gave us a wonderfully relaxing experience. One evening featured a special Egyptian dinner that we thoroughly enjoyed. The excursions included in the package provided incredible values, thanks to our tour guide Ahmed. He was extremely knowledgeable and professional, and he provided helpful tips to avoid tourist traps and scams which we greatly appreciated. We also opted for an add-on excursion—high tea at the Old Cataract Hotel and it was absolutely worth it.

The only minor drawback was our experience during the add-on Giza Pyramid excursion as we felt the guide (not Ahmed) lacked a bit transparency. For example, we were told that the camel ride would have to be paid through him, and we were taken to a Papyrus shop that he claimed to be a "government institution" but turned out to involve aggressive selling tactics. At first, we thought this might be a common practice, but after spending time with Ahmed during the cruise portion, we realized the difference. That said, this issue was unrelated to Classic Holiday and was handled by a separate local agent.

Overall, we highly recommend Classic Holidays' services to anyone looking for a hassle-free trip to Egypt!

A fantastic 2 weeks in Egypt, organised by Classic Holidays, split between a weekend in Cairo (pyramids and museums), a week's cruise on the Nile and a few days relaxing on the Red Sea.
The cruise ship on the Nile was clean, well fitted out and the food was good (if not always that hot), provided by a cheerful and helpful crew. The cabin was more than big enough for me & was always spotlessly cleaned. The excursions to the many sights along the Nile were very efficiently organised and maximised the time at each location, whilst avoiding the crowds later in the day. (Be prepared for some early starts!). The highlight of the holiday however, was our tour guide/ Egyptologist Hany, whose arrangement skills, depth of knowledge about all the excursions and ability to communicate it in an interesting way throughout the trip, made the whole experience particularly memorable. A holiday I will never forget!

Everything went smoothly we did not have to do any organising at all a perfect holiday

All in all it was an interesting holiday.
Staff in Swiss Hotel Hurghada provided an excellent service.
Staff on Cruise Ship Royal Princess, excellent.
Our Tour guide, Hany, on Cruise provided an excellent detailed itinerary.
There was the usual issues of dealing with locals trying to sell their goods.
Also, one has to accept that places of interest are very busy+++.
Highlight was Abu Simbel;
The Tombs were dismantled and rebuilt away from risk of being lost after High Russian Dam was built.

Would we return ??, probably no.
Would I recommend, yes.
We have been to Cairo and Giza.
Bucket list for Egypt completed.
Taj Mahal etc next on list.

Boat,was lovely. Something like out of an Agatha Christie film. Was lovely waking up and seeing the world meander by.
The trips to see the temples were amazing. Our guide Ade was very knowledgeable. He made sure we were all looked after on and off the boat.

We have recently returned from a ten day break starting with a 7 day Nile cruise onboard the royal princess, which was a fabulous way to see and learn about the culture and the history of Egypt .We could not fault the crew on the boat and during the whole trip we were accompanied by our guide Sameh who was extremely knowledgeable about Egypt and its history and culture. Each trip was so well organised and our guide Sameh was abundant in Egyptian knowledge he kept it light but informative and gave us a good insight .A good guide is a must on a busy trip like this , it could be so easy to miss things .For the last 3 days we stayed at the Old Palce resort in Hurghada which was a lovely rest up after a busy sightseeing schedule .

A truly wonderful experience. The magic and amazing sights of Egypt were brought to life by our fantastic guide Adel. Not only that, from the moment we were met in Luxor by one of your representatives we were looked after so well and then when we got on the boat we were delighted we had booked the Royal Princess. Beautiful traditional styling, extremely helpful and smiling staff and excellent food.

Classic holidays service both before the holiday and at the 3 resorts was exemplary. We felt looked after from touchdown when we were met even before passport control. The accomodation was great the guides were knowledgeable and we had a fantastic 2 weeks.

From our initial enquiry on the phone to the moment we were dropped off at Cairo airport to fly home we were treated impeccably have never had such wonderful customer service in all the years I’ve been holidaying…. Everything on board the boat for our seven nights cruise down the Nile was fantastic especially our tour guide Aymann … his knowledge and humour made every excursion an absolute brilliant experience we sailed on the 23rd September 2024…. Having never cruised before we didn’t quite know what to expect… it was the most memorable holiday we have ever had … we met some lovely people and experienced the wonderful Nile and Egypt in real luxury all thanks to Classic Holidays .I would recommend to everyone that they should do this trip down the Nile and the stop over in Cairo to see the great pyramids and they should definitely use Classic Holidays .

I recently returned from Egypt, having booked a Nile Cruise, (as well as 3 days beforehand in Cairo and 4 days post cruise in Luxor) with Classic Holidays. Making this trip was a dream come true for me and I am beyond impressed with Classic Holidays for the well planned itinerary and ensuring that our guides were 5 star rated Egyptologists who also put our wellbeing and safety at the heart of everything. The hotels were of a high standard, the transfers seamless, and our cruise ship (the MS Grand Mandarin) exceeded my expectations on so many levels. Unfortunately I had to return home 4 days early due to being unwell, but the team at Classic Holidays were amazing and helped me rearrange my flight and transfer to the airport. Their communication before, during and post trip has been great and is much appreciated 🙏

We would highly recommend Classic Holidays.
Booking was really easy and we were given a lot of help during and after. The team were easy to reach and we had 1 point of contact.
We can not fault the trip, we were met, on time at every airport or transfer.
The team on the boat were amazing and always went out of their way. Adel our guide was in particular absolutely fantastic, his knowledge and also how he looked after us both on excursions and on board the boat.
It was an amazing trip - a must is to stop at the Steinberger (a brilliant hotel - ask for a Pyramid view) so as not to miss the Pyramids and Egypt museum before boarding the cruise.
If Classic Holidays specialised in other countries we would use them for those too.

We travelled to Egypt between 4-18.5.24. Cairo, Nile cruise & Red Sea hotel. ALL the very complex arrangements were faultless with transport, guides & schedules adhered to or fully explained if other circumstances required. Communications with them were excellent and we were most pleased with the entirety of the trip. Highly recommended.

Everything was well organised. We were a group of friends and all agree - our hotels were fantastic and our Nile cruise boat was one of the best we saw on the river. Our guide, Hany Refaat who was on the cruise from start to end was so knowledgeable about Egyptology and about Egypt as a whole. He helped with other things like pharmacy and banks.

Great customer service. Cruise ship a bit tired but spotlessly clean, all staff polite and very welcoming. Great choice of food drinks etc. Egyptologist Hany . Was amazing so caring , humorous and very knowledgeable. Trips amazing . Hotel in Hurghada lovely, again spotlessly clean beautiful location. Egyptair disappointing, meal served within the first hour, small bottle of water and a carton of juice. Meal was ok. But no other service throughout the flight. Gasping for another drink on way home as plane very hot. Staff sitting in passenger seats. Surly crew. So for 4 hours they were doing nothing. Wouldnt fly with them again unless it was the only option .

My husband and I would like to thank Classic Holidays for making our holiday such a great experience. We last went to Egypt and Luxor 20 years ago. From when we arrived at Luxor Airport to when we left yesterday everything was hassle free and the support we received from your Egyptian operators was great. The trip itself was excellent with the guide outstanding

Egypt Air flight was good, on time and very comfortable. Hotel in Cairo very nice with a view of the Pyramids at Giza.
Was upgraded to the Grand Mandarin for our Nile cruise, a lovely boat, staff amazing.
Our guide Marco was exceptional, so knowledgable and approachable. Food excellent. Cabin a bit shabby
but clean and comfortable.
It was an amazing holiday, unforgettable, thankyou Classic xx
