This company never lets me down - have been a repeat customer for many years. Ordering Appleton yarns is so simple and speedy- highly recommended.

I have used this company to turn my photos into personalised tapestry kits. They print your photo onto canvas and supply all the yarns you will need to complete the project. I have used them twice and the quality of the kits is very high. The stitched result looks great. I have only given 3 stars because on both occasions I have had to wait a long time for my order to be delivered. This time it has taken 2 months and I have had to chase them in order to get things moving. This spoils the otherwise high quality product.

I've bought 5 of the Lavender Hearts (all through John Lewis) and recently I lost some of the wool on the one I was working on. I contacted the company via email and they kindly sent me enough wool to finish the project I was on. What customer care. Fantastic. I love lavender and sewing - what's not to like there? Brilliant company, highly recommend. Will be buying direct from now on.

I ordered Appletons wool crewel skeins from the site. It was really easy to choose the colours ( unlike some sites). There are so many lovely things to choose from the site which I discovered thanks to a recommendation from Melbury Hill. My order arrived carefully packaged and by 1st class post. Thank you! This us a fabulous website and their designs are superb. I buy from them all the time and my friends often ask me to make them things designed by cleopatra’s needle. However I’ve had to knock one start off because of the Appleton’s wool they use, I really don’t like it! I wish they’d switch to anchor which is much easier to work with. But that’s just me. Do have a look at the kits, I promise you won’t be disappointed

As promised, this is my second order very quickly after the first……the selection of wool (and colours) is very easy to do and details were kept from previous order making it much easier to place the order. Am thrilled to have found this site, having returned to restoring antique oriental rugs, I am delighted with both the quality and speed of this excellent company……thank you
