Dodgy practice

Everything seemed ok when I submitted my job request on their platform. The system worked well and was very easy to follow/complete. One of the benefits of this site is they limit the responses from tradespeople to 3, which appealed to me.
However next morning I get a message from checkatrade saying that my job has been posted and then received a number of calls and text messages.
It seems that click quotes.co.uk took my information and submitted a request on checkatrade!!
Not happy at all. If I had wanted to use checkatrade I would have done it myself! And I suspect they are breaking data privacy laws, although I would need to check the small print of their T&Cs
