Overall it's a great platform to use! Previously our company used Wrike, then we switched to ClickUp. We switched mainly because of the price. The platform its self does everything that we would want/... See more

Clickup is that ass-hole friend that is…
Clickup is that ass-hole friend that is always gauging how much of an ass hole s/he can be, and still keep you as a friend.
I have been using click up for more…
I have been using click up for more than 2 months now. Its definitely better than trying to use notion for task management. Few things that frustrates me or can be improved.
There AI feature useful but they don't have way to enable it only for selected users. If I have 20 members i might just want to enable for few but they don't have this option which sucks.
Its very slow even loading simple pages takes time , even UI can be simplified.
HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND BUGGY SOFTWARE
ClickUp has a lot of potential, but it's not great. I have constantly had issues with bugs and things not working in the CRM, which is very frustrating because I just spent an entire year going back and forth with Monday.com after they deleted boards that cost me a $10k contract with a client after the boards deleted all of her data and mine.
ClickUp has, by far, the WORST customer support ever. Agents are not properly trained or equipped to handle issues. I've spent hours on chat multiple times, only for the chat to disconnect or never come back at all. It's literally disrupted my workflow and business. I HATE that just about all of these companies have bugs and bad customer service. These companies make being an entrepreneur ten times harder than it should be. They do not value your time because they are getting paid regardless.
Charged after cancellation
I cancelled my subscription, but they charged me again anyway.
Super hard to learn and set up, no support, obscure feature limits to make you up the level
Although this is a fairly powerful and flexible app on the surface, it lacks some basic functionality .
Also, ClickUp is aptly named because you will be clicking all day to do even the most simple thing.
There is also no support.
Even with a high level subscription, you can’t talk to a person ever, unless you further subscribe to a year of help or a 7k help option, or use external “specialists” .
Furthermore, the features and limits in the service description for each level are intentionally obscured. For example it says that downloads of CSV files are included in one level but then you reach a limit of how many you can download.
By this time, you have already sunk a ton of time into learning the set up and figuring out how to do things by VERY laborious trial and error, so all of that is wasted.
All of the positive reviews you see in google are basically ads.
It promises functionality it does not give
still need lot of improvement
clickUp is realy low performance add it looks like ascam still need a lot off improvement, and you can find that by the abusive add every moment it pup up if the product is good enough it will sell itself
We use it as our knowledge base
We use it as our knowledge base, and even though it has bunch of useless features we are satisfied with this platform so far
extremely inappropriate outreach strategy
I was added to a ClickUp workspace as part of my job. They sent me a few emails asking if I had time for a meeting to “start my clickup journey” and, when I didn’t reply, started calling my personal number, leaving voicemails (by name as well) wanting one-on-one time with me solely because I was added as a user. To make matters worse, my phone number was only on my account for two-factor authentication. So invasive and pushy that I haven’t actually used their product once.
8 emails in 4 years, no invoices…
Used ClickUp for a few months in year one—didn’t like it. Still, they charged me $99/year for three years and sent me only 8 emails total in 4 years—none of them invoices. Only in year four, when my card failed, did they contact me.
When I asked for a refund, support said invoices had to be “turned on” through multiple hidden settings, and refused because of a 30-day guarantee. In 2025, I blocked the payment at my bank—only then did they refund me and put me on a “free forever” plan, something they claimed wasn’t possible before.
Feels like they count on customers forgetting they’re subscribed. Watch your statements closely.
Perrrfect!
Perrrfect!
I am using their free version with my team and we are 100% satisfied. All the features including task assigning, setting priorities, time tracking, commenting, creating spaces, UI and most importantly speed are amazing.
I was always a big fan of ClickUp but…
I was always a big fan of ClickUp but it seems to take advantage of small teams. The small teams tier doesn't really work. especially if you're trying to do timetracking of any sort. You are very limited on the reports you can pull. If you're just looking to do tickets/task management on a free level, it works fine but that's it. Don't buy it.
ClickUp’s versatility is impressive
ClickUp’s versatility is impressive, with powerful task management and collaboration tools that fit our team’s needs perfectly. The interface is intuitive, but the sheer number of features can feel overwhelming at first. Great support, though billing clarity could improve. Highly recommend for teams seeking a robust, customizable platform!
Simplified my creative & work life.
I love ClickUp. I'm surprised to see any negative reviews. I use the free version for creative projects, the premium version at work, and I would be FAR less better off in life if I didn't use it.
My entire tech stack has become ClickUp. They do everything, and they do it better. Tasks, Clips, Chat, SOPs, Scheduling, Time Tracking, Workflows, Brainstorming.. I use it for literally everything.
The one thing I don't like is that the AI mode is per account not per user. If only a few members of a team need to use it, it's just not economical for the entire team to pay for it so unfortunately I lost that feature. It was a huge bummer because AI mode made my work so much easier when it was in beta. Hoping they figure that one out.
If I could give this company 0 stars I…
If I could give this company 0 stars I would.
I have been using ClickUp for 2 years. Due to needing more space I decided to upgrade to premium. Unbeknownst to me, despite them advertising that up to 2 external members can be added for free, I had been charged for an additional 3 members yearly - that’s four times the fee per month!!! I received no confirmation via email or within the app that I was charged so was unaware of this until I saw the massive amount of money that had been attempted to be charged to my credit card.
I complained to ClickUp, and the ‘best’ they could do was partially refund me for the 6 monthly charge for one member this year, citing their 30 day return policy. Despite me explaining that I had received no written confirmation of this unexpected charge, they then told me to check my junk email.
Please stay away from their premium plans, super dodgy and I will be looking for alternative task management software.
Totally garbage app
Totally garbage app. Too many features but those are very complex to use. the interface is messy. Everything is difficutl about this app. Not reccomended.
I would give it 0 stars if I could
I would give it 0 stars if I could. The story of "excellence" of support reps from ClickUP. I needed to change billing contact and found how to do this (on official website) - but there was no such an option in the actual workspace, so I contacted support and gues what? 2 weeks and this is still not resolved, last 1 week I was not contacted by anyone at all. Big thumbs down for this company and thanks to Gods we are moving away from them. I would never ever recommend this platform
Accessed blocked if you don't give in to their relentless demands for more money
Useful but limited during the free trial period, as soon as I paid it got worse and ask I get now is messages saying I am being charged more for using a feature that want kicked and appeared free. They are trying to charge me 4 times what I agreed to. If you don't pay, they block your access to your work
Sneaky thievery
I was very excited to join ClickUp due to its features and the supposed flexibility. The package I bought was supposedly for 15 users. Long story short, when members were added to the package it was not made clear that additional seats would be automatically debited from my account - without warning. When I queried it with the company, they sent me to a thread 5 years old to ‘upvote’ a policy any responsible and transparent company would do without needing to be asked. On that thread were many other dismayed customers. I am severely disappointed.
I’m still in the trial period and may cancel if this is not sorted satisfactorily.
Expletives X1000
The sales and marketing bullet list looks amazing for ClickUp. But using it is absolute hell on earth. I'm less productive, less organized, more confused, and that's after spending more than 100 hours over 8 months trying to learn this cluster. Nobody on my team likes it... none of the guests use it. The number of misccommunications and missed-communications has easilty quadrupled since using Clickup Chat. I just look at my ~10 lists and all the tasks and subtasks and the 30+ buttons in any view at any time, and I just want to give up.
ClickUP is ANTI-WORK. It WILL NOT make your team more productive. In fact it is guaranteed to do just the opposite.
It is such a bad experience it feels as if the head designer secretly works for another company, and is purposely trying to make getting stuff done 100-times more complex than it needs to be on purpose. This has to be the case... because the average shmoe would have made it far simpler and easier to use. It takes a lot of thought and effort to make something this complex. So much so, that is HAS TO BE DELIBERATE!
Kudos to the marketing and sales team for being able to sell this nightmare. It's the only thing really going for ClickUp.
Misleading Storage Limits, Buggy System, and Clueless Support
ClickUp talks a big game, but the actual experience is frustrating and unreliable.
Here’s the real issue: The system claims I’ve used 80MB of file space, but I only have about 1MB of actual files. I even deleted a bunch — files my devs needed — just to try and resolve the warnings. But despite being well under the supposed limit, ClickUp still acts like I’m maxed out. Either the storage tracker is completely inaccurate, or the system is flat-out broken.
I contacted support expecting a real answer. Instead, I got canned, copy-paste responses from Kevin, who clearly had no technical understanding of the issue. No fix. No escalation. Just empty replies that wasted more of my time.
This isn’t some free-tier complaint. I pay for real tools like Slack, per user, because their support actually helps. ClickUp, on the other hand, treats your time like it doesn’t matter — unless you’re already paying.
I won’t be upgrading. And I’ll be warning others to steer clear. There are better tools that don’t misrepresent features or leave users stranded when things break.
