Nick Kerley really helped me understand everything I needed to know about applying for a regulated bridging loan to take over our existing expired mortgage for my family home, offering invaluable advice on what steps to take and how the process works. Highly recommended company with great transparent advice and service. Nick really helped relieve a lot of stress and went out of his way to make sure the process was as clear and as seamless as possible, making sure we were well-informed to make the best informed decision possible. Will definitely use again in the future if needed.

Easy to contact. Phone calls were answered promptly and when busy called back quickly. Staff were extremely helpful and courteous and liaised with all interested parties and kept us fully informed of all developments. Our completion date was met.

Dylan was fantastic throughout the entire process. He was always clear, organised and incredibly prompt in getting back to us. He kept communication flowing smoothly between us and the lender, which made what could have been a very stressful process feel much more manageable and under control.

He gave us really good reassurance at key points and explained things clearly, which we genuinely appreciated. We always felt well informed and supported, and never left wondering what was happening next.

I cannot recommend this company enough given the support, guidance, communication and effectiveness of a recent financial transaction I did with them involving a Bridging Loan. Right from Day 1 of my first contact with Fergus, and subsequently with Annie and Fergus, they were both always available, responsive and involved making sure the process was overseen right to end. They were brilliant and my transaction completed without a hitch! Well Done Clifton Finance!

It was the worst mortgage application process I have ever experienced. Prior to choosing Clifton, I read reviews stating how smooth the process was, consistent communications and updates, as well as a turn around of about a one month. Alas, it was the complete and total opposite for us.

First and foremost, all our private documentation were not shared under a secure source, instead everything was just via email, leaving a lot of room for that information falling in the wrong hands. The communication was appalling and I had to chase them up on updates on countless times. I am sure Clifton is aware of this because I complained several times and in the end even requested for a different broker.

The whole process started at the end of July 2025 and only got mortgage finalized in mid December, 2025. At which time, Christmas was around the corner and couldn't get anything resolved until January 2026. Its due to this long delay that our previous bank ended up charging us a penalty fee of approximately 4000 pounds, whereas had it been completed in 2 months, there would have been no penalties or charges.

All in all, we are so disappointed with Clifton and with all the stress, uncertainty and pressure we were subjected to, I wouldn't even recommend anyone to through this.

We found Clifton via Google when looking to finance the purchase of a commercial property with a view to creating a residential development.

As somewhat novices to the category, we spoke with several brokers and based on the advice received from Nick, decided to go with Clifton.

It was not a straightforward scenario and we met several roadblocks along the way, but Nick assisted at each stage and ultimately helped us get the finance over the line.

Worked with Alex Morris at Clifton. Our situation wasn't straightforward, but Alex and the Clifton team found a solution and managed to meet a particularly aggressive timetable set by our seller! He was both professional and amiable throughout. Would highly recommend him and the team.

The whole process of getting a mortgage (which I thought might be difficult considering our ages) was extremely friendly, smooth and efficient. The mortgage offer arrived incredibly fast. Alex and Jan were then extremely helpful in dealing with a problem (a typo in the lender's paperwork) and were quick to coordinate with the lender and my solicitor to ensure the mortgage funds were available on time. I would not hesitate to recommend Clifton Private Finance!
