The decaff tea tastes like decaff tea of old (when the taste was so distinctly different / flowery that you knew you were drinking decaff and not caff tea). Even most supermarket budget decaff tea ta... See more

Why has Clipper Everyday Organic tea changed so much? It was a lovely golden, fresh-tasting drink until this last packet of 100 (bought in August 2022). Now dark and bitter! Won’t be buying again des... See more

Clipper used a bulk shipment that was different?

The everyday organic Clipper tea taste has radically changed, at first thought perhaps it was just the box I had bought, couldn't drink anymore and got another one, but sadly to say it tastes just the same.
Afraid after years of drinking, I've got to look elsewhere.
Maybe in time to come will try again, as perhaps Clipper used a bulk shipment that was different, the next might be better.

Clipper decaffeinated tea bags

Decided to try these tea bags as I need to cut out caffeine I read how they treat the tea to get rid of the caffeine this company has a big thumbs up from me they use one of the safest ways the CO2 method which means they don't use methylene chloride which is harmful to health it's used in paint stripping so avoid any tea treated that way I can't recommend this tea enough the tea tastes good the colour is excellent and not to strong well done clipper tea.

Clipper Earl Grey NOT Earl Grey!!

We've been enjoying Clipper Earl Grey teabags for a long time, that is until our recent purchase of 6 boxes via Amazon.
The smell of bergamot has gone and the taste is like ordinary tea. I opened a second new box to see if it was a one of, but it was the same.
I contacted Clipper customer services and they sent an apology plus a couple of vouchers (that doesn't cover the cost of 6 boxes!)
I thought I was just unlucky with a bad batch but now seeing these reviews, Clipper teas have gone downhill in my estimation.
Purchased Tetley Earl Grey teabags.

Wrong tea?

Seems like I have the wrong tea in my box, or they've changed the ingredients completely. I've been buying Earl Grey Clipper tea bags for years as they are the best, but this one box, tastes like they've put English Breakfast tea in the wrong box! Very annoyed as it isn't exactly cheap.

Clipper quality poor since they stopped using foil packaging

I've been buying Clipper Earl Grey for many years but ever since they got rid of the foil packaging the quality and taste have gone downhill. I've returned the last 2 boxes as they were not drinkable. There was hardly any bergamot taste and there was a distinctly bitter almost rosehip taste. Looking at other reviews it seems the drive to be "green" and reduce costs have impacted the quality. Now looking for an alternative brand.

Clipper Decaf Organic Non-Tea Bags

Clipper Decaf Organic Tea Bags appear to have no actual tea in them; they are weak-tasting, weak-looking and generally a waste of money and kettle-boiling power. Awful. Please don’t buy them if you enjoy actual tea.

I'm so dissapointed in Clipper's Decafe…

I'm so dissapointed in Clipper's Decafe organic tea. It sounds great; organic, bio degradable, plastic free etc but the tea itself is tasteless dishwater. There's no aroma, no disernable taste. For a preimum priced product it's a utter waste of money. I won't buy it again

Terrible Customer Service

Bought t bags which were in a box and foil bag from local health shop. All the bags were split. Not out of date. Sent email to Clipper who asked me to fill in a questionnaire and said the'd send vouchers. They didn't. I will now have to complain to the shop/

Fewer tea leaves in a teabag?

Are there fewer tea leaves in the teabags than there used to be? It certainly looks like a smaller quantity, which would also account for the weaker, anaemic, tasteless tea I keep brewing. I've been a fan of the green boxes of Clipper tea for years (not the green tea!) but Yorkshire tea is surpassing it these days. I don't want to switch away because of your ethical standpoint, but you still have to produce a decent cuppa - come on Clipper, bring back your lovely brew!

Disgusting new flavour

Have been drinking Clipper Green Lemon for years, and it was always refreshing. Used to buy in bulk. Since they changed the packaging by removing the foil bag, it tastes awful and leaves my mouth feeling dehydrated. Am switching to ASDA's own brand.

Weak tea and no vouchers

I wrote to Clipper about their organic tea which I have been drinking for years and which is now weak and has to be left for at least five minutes to get any taste from it. They replied that strength varies and told me they had sent me some vouchers, presumably by way of recompense for my dissatisfaction. However, no vouchers arrived.I am now looking for another organic tea with some decent strength.

Poor quality, poor taste. No longer a purchaser!

I have enjoyed drinking clipper organic tea for many years but since you have gone plastic free (which is commendable ) the tea is undrinkable. It has no discernible tea flavour no matter how long the tea bag is left in, and has a revolting metallic taste from the start. It also strips the moisture from your mouth.
It was so bad I did a covid test!
Sadly I bought several boxes as they were on offer, but now cannot use them.
I am really disappointed as tea is my main drink, and there are few alternative organic tea bags available.

What has Clipper done to the tea?

What has Clipper done to the tea? Been drinking the organic/Fairtrade for months to avoid plastic tea bags. Latest box of bags makes a pale yellow tasteless brew. Having looked at the Sainsbury's order, they picked "green" tea. I can see how easy it is to mistake. You need to change the packaging to differentiate the standard and green tea.

We really used to enjoy Clipper

We really used to enjoy Clipper, it was a great brew and my go to tea. What have they done to the flavour and forget leaving you tea bag in the cup longer to get the a stronger brew, even my builders noticed the difference

May have to go back to Yorkshire gold

I don't normally buy Clipper tea,but as Clipper Everyday 80 Teabags was on special offer I tried it.
Never again, absolutely insipid, tasteless hot water.I let it brew for over 5 minutes as I do with my normal brand as well.
Don't waste money on this even if on special offer.

Gutted…we have enjoyed clipper tea for…

Gutted…we have enjoyed clipper tea for years..won’t have anything else…but our recent purchase didn’t taste of anything…I put it down to a bad batch and not the new packaging…we ended up throwing what we had away and buying another…guess what..no flavour…even if you double up on the bags in your brew it’s like coloured hot water…
obviously the fault is in the packaging…I mean they must have a reason for a cellophane wrap around boxes or foil wrap around the bags…
So that’s that..We are longer buying clipper. Time to find another faithful tea bag friend .
